I've been replaying the first dark souls for the first time since launch and haven't had this much fun with a game in a while.
Just placed the last soul in the lordvessel last night and can't wait to get home.

I stopped at Darkbeast Paarl or whatever the fuck, but it wasn't that gripping for me, the locations and enemies felt way too samey and the combat wasn't my favorite ever.

The levels in 3 are dogshit and there is literally no point in engaging them, other than run past everything, get an item and get out.
Anor Londo was reduce to a single corridor to the boss fight, the same as Profaned Capital

There aren't any play styles other than roll and R1 that work effectively.
Magic is slow and not strong enough, shields are unusable trash and the same goes for armor, a loincloth offers essentially the same defense as Havel's set.

It is a bit of nostalgia and being in the souls club since the beginning, but it also is very charming, like points out.
Not to mention it was the first of its kind, there wasn't much to learn before making it, that's why it gets some extra points for creativity
