It's funny you say that because I find KOF characters way more appealing than SF, GG, or Tekken. The entire reason I bought KOFXV is because it had so many characters I liked the look of.

I got SFV a long time ago but I can't find a single character in that game that I enjoy so I never play it, same with Strive. Tekken is the only other fighting game that has multiple characters I like.

I know she's getting nerfed but hopefully they don't go overboard. I'm not entirely sure how SNK is with balancing, but I hate patch culture and overnerfing.

vanessa deserves nerfs, uppercut is nonpunishable for most of the cast without a lvl 2 and 2a mash is way too good.

Literally every Vanessa online just does these two things and gets free wins

SNK are pretty random with balancing. They will completely kill some characters and others will barely get touched. Terry was good at the start of XIV before getting nerfed into oblivion for much more tame things than what he's currently doing in XIV, but they equally might give really minor nerfs. Personally I think they need to buff some of the 'og' chars like Iori/Kyo/Benimaru who are either just kind of ass (Iori) or really suck at what their usual playstyle is (Kyo) and play completely differently because of it.

Well that sucks, this is the first time she's ever been this good but oh well, at least i got to enjoy it for a few months. I really hate patch culture, they never do it well and other annoying broken characters just end up taking their places until everything is nerfed into blandness for the sake of balance.

So are they gonna fix that PC matchmaking before the game dies? And how about crossplatform play, have they announced that at all? Struggling to see how this game will survive at all.

You're behind the times, what actually happens is all the strong vanilla characters get nerfed and then the new DLC releases every once in a while and raises the power ceiling and ruins the game again
