I understand it, it's just fucking retarded.

based retard

I just went for the biggest one

I understood it but I dont understand why it exists

It still needs to be pointed out that you're retarded, I know a bunch of people already did but you really need to know.

LMAO

Good one, OP

I don't get it.

Are they wrestling?

I never bothered to learn it. Still don't know to this day.

I know.

no one understands how this is supposed to be hacking a terminal. why would a login screen display random shit alongside the password and give you a couple guesses to get it right?

Attached: 1646531298885.jpg (1200x675, 165.23K)

its really not that hard, if the person looks like he is shitting himself he hates that option, so try to use all the smaller ones on it. If the person is smiling like the joker he likes it so you use the biggest one

I was able to do that as a 14 year old brainlet. Sorry OP.

The Oblivion lockpicking is way worse imo, I still have no idea how it works. The speech minigame is pretty easy, it's just really really dumb

/thread

This minigame unironically helped me understand how to be social.
You're just supposed to pay attention to what people like and dislike and then just do the things they like while minimizing their dislikes.
I've made a lot of friends since it "clicked".

Attached: caravan.jpg (1280x720, 130.27K)

you look at the NPC's face.
if the segment you selected makes him happy, you want the biggest chunks to be in that segment (you have to check every segment and put the facial expressions in a tier of most to least happy) and you want the smallest chunks to go in the segment where the NPC is angry or unhappy.
if you're autistic i guess it could be hard or something

Attached: HeavyRain_2019_12_29_17_28_15_884.jpg (1920x1080, 216.94K)

you are looking at the hex code, still dumb reason, but if you think it's like when you open a program on hex editor and an option there is an "if" with the login you can crack it

It was easy as fucking piss. Literally rotate through the four options to see their reactions and then with every selection it pushes the wheel into a semi-ideal state for the next option.

Come on, I understood this when I was fourteen and could max out anybody's disposition without even thinking about it.

What game?

Filtered tons

I'm listening

Oblivion.

pokemon legend of arceus

why would you ever learn it when you can just cast charm

14 years later and I still don't understand how the letters and numbers correlate to the correct word.
I just click randomly until I only have one 'life' then I click all the closed brackets to eliminate wrong words and replenish my tries. and try again.

Attached: 62e.jpg (1280x720, 108.31K)

The lockpicking is piss fucking easy, what are you talking about? It's literally easier to do with your eyes closed

I guess the idea is that you are looking through encrypted device data to find anything resembling a password
I mean sure it's retarded but you need some degree of abstraction to make it work for vidya

Of you played oblivion as a kid you didn’t get it, if you weren’t a kid when oblivion came out you are too old to be on 4channel incel

To give depth to characters and give you more reasons to interact with them.
Having a random stranger suddenly tell you the whereabouts of a hidden stash because you've befriended them is pretty cool.

Any game made by this hack

it's literally mastermind with letters instead of colors

but what you are doing is people-pleasing, not socializing.

It tells you how many letters are both right and in the right position, its that simple.

I played fallout and skyrim before Oblivion so I'm probably just being filtered, but I don't get it at all

Placement of the letter. leads has one letter shares with the password, so you can try Cares. If that says 1/5 you know it's the S at the end because that's all that is shared in terms of placement.

what the fuck is mastermind?

It's mastermind. Do you play wordle?

theres a web game called wordle that works kinds like this

Once you learn how it works, it's incredibly easy to win every time, and thus it's just boring.
Like Gwent from TW3.

Possibly the most insane attempt at turning reputation/favour gain into a minigame. It's completely divorced from the process of becoming friends with anybody beyond the labels of the four quadrants being socially-related.

Attached: FIoMLPzX0Ak648q.jpg (1520x1080, 395.77K)

user... even a kid could understand that you may be retarded

See, that's what I thought too. And yeah, it does. Except it doesn't.
Because I click a word that matches. It has the correct words in the correct spaces, yet is still incorrect.

You’re looking at memory addresses to see if the password has been stored there

It just shows you how many letters in a word are in the correct position. For example
DICKS
COCKS
If it shows 3/5 for both you can assume CKS are in the password since those are the only 3 letters shared between the two words. It's more of a guessing game if it's just 2/5 or 1/5.

always assumed this, i guess it looks retarded for zoomers and boomers that never had to wrestle with the OS and have no idea of what is referencing

>Do you play wordle?
No, I like women.

It's actually really simple. It just utterly shatters your immersion because it's inhuman and totally alien to normal conversation.

Attached: adgadsgqqjsh.jpg (600x388, 151.46K)

Correct password is
FUCKS

the noise the tumbler makes when you push it up.
if it clunks it's not going to set
if it clinks you can set it
that's literally it.
you can pick a master level 100 lock at level 10 skill knowing this. it's the dumbest shit ever and the reason they changed it to the garbage it is now

No

damage calculation in monster hunter

I still don't know what a motion value is

Attached: 1527154927316.jpg (280x280, 11.6K)

threads like these make me realise the average IQ of this board is very, very low

Thanks

Explain

Then you get enough gold to just bribe everyone. Problem solved. (I actually did understand this minigame it's just tedious)

I just don't know.

Attached: maxresdefault (1).jpg (1280x720, 102.49K)

speechcraft was soul. really sad that bethesda just dropped it instead of fine-tuning the minigame. same thing with lockpicking

Towers of Hanoi are literally baby tier, user

Even the most blatantly obvious bait threads manage to get hundreds of replies, guaranteed.
Yea Forums is, by far, the dumbest board.

?? Different dishes give you different stats, seasoning them increases the stats given. The type of pan you use also influences which dish you can make. Functionally you are just grabbing the boss parts and then pouring spices on them until it's fully cooked. The extra button is to increase cooking speed which is suboptimal because you can't add more spices. Only good for trying to fit a cheeky last dish in before time runs out.

It's just a damage multiplier. Think of it as the value of each motion that you multiply the base damage with.
It might be a bit more complicated but it really doesn't fucking matter.

based assburgers user

If you think Oblivion’s lockpicking is bad, wait until you see Elex’s lockpicking. It’s not bad but the game doesn’t explain it at all. youtu.be/nmBsVVvAXyk

>befriend
you literally approach them, then immediately flatter, joke, brag, threaten and sometimes give money to them all in one conversation.

I'm retarded and I understood it pretty quickly. Did you not think it was strange how the npc's face was contorting whenever you moved the wedge?

I personally loved this minigame but I know a lot of people that just fucking hated it and/or never really got it despite being piss easy

>oh god
>you see him approach an imperial woman
>she laughs, slaps him, takes money from his purse, laughs again, and frowns before she points him to my direction
>and i know i'm going to fall for it too

I mean, the explanation is bad, but you should understand how it works from that tutorial alone

>Watch vtubers play Oblivion
>NONE of them can comprehend the speech minigame
>They either mash randomly, or get the 2 good answers and then complain for 30 seconds that they can't exit out without hitting the bad ones
>They bribe in the middle of the minigame and then let the bonus go to waste because they sit and wait
>They don't realize the wheel turns after each choice and waste their rotates
>Can't understand subtle facial cues

>The extra button is to increase cooking speed
So stiring the food makes it cook faster and nothing else? Fuck, I was doing that and running out of time to add the seasonings. Is it worth to add more than one tipe? Or is one of each enough? Thanks btw.

i unironically never listen to the sound and have no idea how it worked
i just watch and get it right somehow

Question for the cognitively impaired anons in the thread:
How many of you found out you could find paired symbols in the lines/spaces between words to remove wrong entries, or even replenish your attempts?
e.g.:
In that screencap, the on line 0xF954 could be clicked/entered to remove a bad entry like CLANS. Same with the [] on line 0xFA5C, or the sequence of symbols on line 0xFA74 that goes [,._']
