Cammy makes the best fucking logs.
too many options that we all know are not good
>Beaten by CE
Oh no no no
3rd strike? the game with parries that my favorite streamer loves but never plays? LET'S GOOOO
I know there's gonna be a very small sample size, but the fact that 3rd strike is leading by a lot already is kind of indicative of internet culture. Hope Alpha 2 rises somewhat.
Alpha3 you tards.
Why no alfa2 gold?
It was the only alfa game that tried to balance custom combos.
The Turbo one without the shitty new characters, which one was that? Hyper Fighting?
this
V because it's the only game where she's good
>t. 49 year old Japanese business man setting these kids straight on the way to pachinko
Yea Forums sucks
I would say 3rd Strike, but I know everybody will vote for it, so I'll go with Alpha 3.
>poll missing this many games
shit thread shit poll as usual of v
you two should kiss
SPBP
>>still has depth
it really doesn't
>v
Shit newfag opinion
>the game with parries that my favorite streamer loves but never plays?
Any examples besides Max?
So fucking built for it
Ew, a brownoid
No Capcom vs SNK 2?
I guess it's not strictly street fighter, but neither is Street Fighter vs Tekken, or Xmen vs street fighter?
only played 5, so 5. i like that it makes inputs easier. reached silver in 2 days and so far there haven't been links that pissed me off for being too difficult to input
>too dumb to read the poll description
Move out of the way, losers. Best fighting game coming through.
Alpha 3 is pretty damn fun, but I don't know it well enough to have a real opinion on it.
Now that it's in the rearview I think I was too hard on SF4. It's a pretty fun game even if it's a bit slow and the character designs/graphics were shit.
>even if it's a bit slow
There's tons of 1f links. The game might look slow but it's very fast and demanding on the hands.
Oh man, learning to plink was such a pain in the ass, but it really opened the game up. I never got good enough to consistently hit my combos against anyone decent. I would just mop up against friends and what not.
I just couldn't get into SFIV. I'd play it, improve, etc. but I wasn't ever feeling it. I will say seeing vanilla screenshots and hearing 'Indestructible' will always transport me back to console release week. My roommate at the time and I were on that game non-stop.
For me
1) SF4
The best street fighter because it has character variety and lots of mechanical flexibility. While the focus attack wasnt as cool as 3rd strike's parry, it was very flexible and it worked. While it could look a bit weird sometimes, SF4's art style is pretty solid. 1 frame link combos where there but you didnt actually need them in order to win but they were there to seperate the men from children. Evil ryu and Oni look super cool
2)3rd strike
This is pretty close to no1 position. Aggressive gameplay that makes zoners piss their pants and the parry is a fucking genius move. It has beautiful 2d visuals as well. However, this game feels like a big experiment (the jazz/rap music instead of standard rock/metal, rotroscoping some models while trad animating others and ditching the majority of the old roster for a completely new one) with its char balance as its only negative, but its a successful experiment in the end of the day
3) SF2
The game that make street fighter the game it is today. Iconic roster and music, excellent block system and the super attack was a nice addition. Plus the anime movie rocks
4)SFV
Decent addition, but I didnt like its V-trigger mechanic, how dumbed down it is compared to its predecessors and the fact how of a soulless esport game is in terms of artstyle and UI. It had a rocky launch and I hate that pretty much everything is behind a paywall. At least the models here on average look a bit better than sf4 (but as I said the overall artstyle is soulless), I like the crossplay and the ladder system gives a fair game
4) Alpha
I havent played enough of it to reach a clear verdict, but I didnt dig its art style and its modes system. Its a good fightan though that I might revisit again one day
5)SF1
Easily the worst street fighter for lots of people and for me. Its mostly a barebones fighting game with only 2 characters that has no replay value but its justifiable since its the 1st game in the series
Worse, a whiteoid tranny larping as one.
Each is good, but held back by some stupid shit. The only ones im not fond of are II and Alpha, and in the case of Alpha I don't even think i gave it a fair shake.
I play 3S, USFIV, and V regularly, and enjoy them. I do think VCE is the best "final version" of the three of them though, mainly because it's the only one to get the "game is wrapped up so lets just make all the characters more fun" patch that is becoming common with modern fighters(no OSFIV doesn't count, edition select would if it was playable online).
>I hate that pretty much everything is behind a paywall.
it is has the smallest 'paywall' of the street fighters, and arguably of all fighters.
Do you really have to spam porn in every single thread, user?
>Ex2 at 3 votes
sad
thanks for the bump lmao
correct
Anyone who said other than "Alpha 3" hasn't played Alpha 3.
yes
I mostly mean that I hated how they were releasing everything in a micro transaction form and not as an expansion pack like they used to. Maybe its better like this since to get to buy the stuff you actually need, but I hated how the game had a lock everywhere even after I bought the 2nd season pass at its release. I mostly talk before champion edition. Right now that SFV is coming to an end, things are more tolerable but Im slightly worried about SF6's economy systems.
I played alpha 3 and it's garbage
>vism
>vism infinite crouch cancel juggles
>xism might as well not exist with the lack of defensive mechanics (no AC, no air blocking, no ground recovery roll) this is a big deal because
>GUARD BREAKS THAT PERMANENTLY LOWER YOUR GUARD GAGUE MEANING YOU ARE GOING TO DIE FROM BLOCKING SOMEONE WITH FULL VISM JUICE
>Soundtrack is a downgrade from alpha 2
Casually it's got a lot going for it especially in a3 max but actually playing the game vs another person who has an idea how to use vism is painful.
>>can be enjoyed by anyone, into other FGs or beginner
You can say that about literally any fg. ST has a bunch of nuances that will fuck new players up like how throws (and especially HOLDS) work, reversals having random, tight windows to come out, etc.
>>still has depth
This is a buzzword. You can find 'depth' in any fg ever. There's depth in SFV with spending v-bar on a v-reversal/v-shift vs saving it for vtrigger. There's depth in Strive with the RC system and all the scenarios you force by doing a brc in that game. These aren't all these games have and I can go on and on about a bunch of different things these games have where there's 'depth'. Divekick has fucking depth.
>>You are THE coolest guy around if you dominate in that game
I don't know, throw looping someone with boxer or getting a knockdown with claw and then doing claw dive until the other person dies doesn't seem like something a 'cool' person would do. I would want to kick someone in the nuts for doing either
this is bait
Whichever one has Sethanie in it
>game doesn't hold up to zoomer fighter autism scrutiny
It's a fun game, user.
It's Alpha 2.
Bait
V-ISM makes the game more balanced and more fun to play
Just defend reduces guard meter damage
Guard Breaks do not permanently lower guard meter
You can escape any guard break set up with Alpha Counters
Anyone with cummy
But if I really have to choose, I would go with cvs2, otherwise alpha 3.
BASED THIRD STRIKE CHADS I HATE ALL POSERS WHO PRETEND TO PLAY IT BUT FOR THOSE WHO DO YOU GENTLEMEN HAVE GREAT TASTE IN FIGHTING GAMES THIRD STRIKE IS REALLY GOOD
