Say you didn’t play the game without saying you didn’t play the game.

>0 seconds since/v/ last cried about elden ring
It must be really good.

>Abandoned

Stormveil, Redmane, Leyendell and the Haligtree are completely manned, the Volcano Manor is inhabited by its retainers, few though they may be, and Farum Azula is inhabited by the beatmen that have always lived there. Even Castle Sol is fully manned even though its at the very ends of the Lands Between.

>Abandoned Castle #5, but in the sky
Where is this?

Literally every fromdrone on this site.

I grew up near an abandoned castle and visited many castles as a kid. Playing Souls games is so warm and comfy like my childhood I hope miyazaki keeps making castle based games forever

>trigger
Nigga that's the reason I keep playing them.

None of the Legacy Dungeons are abandoned.
And only one of them is a castle.

nintendo fans are pathetic

Yeah I think most americans don't actually realize that castles are very common in many parts of Europe. Where I live there are like 3 castles within a 1 hour drive. The world in ER would make way less sense if Stormveil was the only castle.

>legacy dungeons
stop using this reddit buzzword

yeah they're everywhere, even small villages often have a big manor house or something where the local ruling lord lived

How does this trigger us when we know this is true….
I literally plays these games because of this.

How is the academy abandoned?

Because they never played the game so they didn’t see anyone so that must mean no one was there.

>try to replay it
>get bored after 1 hour
why is it so unreplayable?

You're right and that's just how I like it. Same with MH. I like a thing and I want more of that thing. Just like with the type of porn I watch, books I read, and food I eat. If I like something I want more of the same.

seems like a you problem. I'm currently on my second playthrough and I already am looking forward to start my third character. I've never replayed a previous Fromsoft title before by the way.

>tfw the only souls games i full-cleared were Dark Souls and then Dark Souls 3 for closure
feels good, people get way too wrapped up in these games for some reason. it's like a fetish for them. they are a great breath of fresh air for old gamers but they aren't godsend.

just level your vig bro

that's wrong, it's more like
>Abandoned Medieval Castle
>Abandoned Hogwarts Castle
>Abandoned Castle but inside a volcano
>Abandoned Medieval Castle-like City
>Abandoned Castle but on a tree

oh and I forgot about classic
>Abandoned Castle but in a tornado

Farum Azula

Dude, that's why I play them. I wouldn't want it any other way. It's also why stuff like "The Surge" etc, doesn't really scratch the same itch. It's missing the FROMsoft magic.

>Abandoned Castle
>Magic school
>Party Mansion in a volcanic caldera
>The royal capital and the sewer system below
>3 huge Underground cave networks with sunken cities, with their own forests, ruins on a lake and the edgelord mausoleum
>The interior and exterior of a giant tree
>Laputa

Surge was good though. Now imagine if from soft made scifi souls

>with some minor alterations
Fuck that, they made too many alterations. I'm still waiting for a true Dark Souls 1 successor.

Are you retarded? That’s why us soulsfags like souls games in the first place.

but literally none of them are abandoned lol, and there's only 1 legacy castle

Stormveil was abandoned, it just got repurposed by Godrick after being chased by Malenia.

Not a legacy dungeon but Castle Sol is also a true abandoned castle populated only by wild animals and ghosts.

>it just got repurposed
so not abandoned anymore, it's filled with soldiers that are still valiantly defending their lord
and yeah sol sucked ass, my favorite pseudo legacy dungeon was cairn manor

>he didnt killed himself to get the 69 trannies in muslim afterlife (which is hell)

You forgot derelict ruins and a dark, poisonous swamp.

That is literally what they are referred to as by the developers and in all official media press. However, I agree that it’s a dumb buzzword and should have only been used internally during development, but here it’s to explain that these dungeons work like the older—legacy—titles by FromSoft

I love how they present Stormveil Castle as this insanely massive thing and then it's just a stairway, a small courtyard and a few rooms

>Huuuuhngghheeeauuuuunhhh ehhhhheeheee

>he missed most of stormveil
kek try exploring next time

What are you talking about, it's huge

Yeah, it's so stupid, fucking people building castles and shit. Like nigga, what you even need a castle for, you aint know dat it be in da bix nood n shieet.

Why do you think people built castles in the real world, retard?

I kept hearing that Stormveil has this big area underneath the castle, but I'm on my 3rd playthrough and I still haven't found it. There's one area with the ulcered tree spirit where you can progress Rogier's quest, is that what everyone was talking about?

>fromsoft does it
good!
>konami/ea does it with gayball
bad!

Woah….a medieval world has…castles?!

sports games are literally the same game every time though. Elden Ring is built on the same combat engine and gameplay loop as previous Dark Souls titles and reuses some enemy skeletons, but is a completely new game as a whole.

There is another beside that with a Crucible Knight. Also I'm on my fourth playthrough and I just now found that place and the tree spirit.

I still don't know where to open that door that leads back to the grace behind the omen with his dog. I still don't know how the fuck I'm supposed to get up to that place where the bats rest next to that grace across the chasm either, but it is clearly traversible. Stormveil is probably the best dungeon I think.

Is it normal that there is not a single soldier in Radahan castle? Felt so weird and I thought it might be a Bug. Also that unpassable bridge was pretty passable

> still don't know where to open that door that leads back to the grace behind the omen with his dog.
Pay attention in the room with the living jars

I think when you enter Altus plateau, Radahn's castle enters "festival" mode, making it empty until you beat down Radahn. Afterwords, rest a few times and exhaust Jerren's dialogue, then the castle will turn back to normal.

More good game is good, yes.

>I still don't know where to open that door that leads back to the grace behind the omen with his dog
It's near the grace just before Godrick, you have to jump on a ledge in the area with the jar enemies, it's very easy to overlook.

Attached: image_2022-04-26_125742866.png (160x157, 24.02K)

Yeah I stumbled into altus plateau before going to radahan.
Weird

i fucking wish they were all like demon's and dark souls.

Hat's off for the shazamtranny who used the fat kid's picture instead of the pepe/gosling. A true pioneer

I think it is associated with Blaidd's questline, not with the Plateou, but I may be wrong.

im british and we do infact have random castles placed randomly and haphazardly

You can ignore Blaidd's quest and the castle will still transition when you enter Altus, but it's possible the transition happens because entering Altus automatically progresses Blaidd's quest, rather than directly affecting the castle itself, but it's an academic difference.
