Wrong genre? Pathfinder uses the rulebook but it still uses active combat which means it can be broken in really fun ways, just watch everything explode as soon as an AOP happens.
As much as people like to shit on 5e, it translates well to video games cause it's simple. It depends on which one you prefer. Pathfinder is closer to a BG2 clone with shitty kingdom management segments and Baldurs Gate 3 is closer to the table top game counterpart.

No one has much to say because the only thing worthwhile is the combat and the combat really isn't that interesting.

I pirated the last major release of it when everybody was talking about it, and for whatever reason it crashed on startup every single time. I tried multiple fixes. I was still on W7 at the time so that might have been it, even though everyone assured me it would run anyway.
Suffice to say I won't be paying for it, and probably wont play it. I got caught up in hype then, it won't happen again.
