So I came across this little game, it allows me to
>be a mayor and manage a town >judge people who commit crimes, make decisions for the citizens >can tame any creature you find and take it along as a pet >can mount your pets and have them mine and do chores for you (by LEARNING FROM YOU as you do it) >can own gigantic freighters that are truly portable bases where other people will dock, take missions and so on >said freighters can load your frigates which will deploy ships to aid you in space combat
>Terrible at launch >Some would say it hasn't improved much >Still a billion light years from how it was advertised
And I'm not just going to forget how that asshole showed off a staged demo as if it was something they actually had working, which the final product was nothing like.
Cameron Russell
Post ONE THING announced at launch that up to today hasn't been delivered.
Evan Rivera
Only redditors hate NMS, it is a goat
Christopher Perry
Anons find it flawed because it has no ending. it just goes on and on.
Samuel Moore
You're the same pass user that's shilling every NMS thread and it's only you. Shoo Shoo Shill.
Liam Reed
It has an ending to the main quest, after that it's sandbox
Do these anons also hate minecraft? Terraria? Seriously, any game ever that doesn't just boot you back to main menu after the end?
Adam Campbell
This Yea Forums has always loved no mans sky ever since the freighter update

Thank you fellow interlopers

>So I came across this little game reddit npc faggots all talk the same.
James Rodriguez
All of these things takes weeks or months to do, i tried playing that game and boooy, i barely made it past the tutorial due to how boring it was, and then i tried to go to other planets to get resources only availabe there and well... i got bored and stopped playing.
It's a huge grindfest, to do everything.
Nolan Ramirez
>e3 showcases traversing space visiting new planets >fuck yah new elite >day 1 it’s a fucking Minecraft resource gathering grind Fuck you Sean
Juan Turner
Because its fucking garbage >WOW A GAME ABOUT EXPLORING >You spend the entire game holding down your SPACE MINING GUN to collect rocks to build pointless shit >All the planets are the fucking same
Zachary Young
Literally sand wurms
Jeremiah Torres
>day 1
well guess what, we're waaaaay past day 1 . They actually delivered on a shitload of stuff that they hyped, and at ZERO cost. And no i'm not OP.
You're right about the resource stuff , it gets boring. But the whole traveling to planets and having entire giant planets out there is impressive
Jackson Miller
went from being a joke to your typical wide as an ocean, shallow as a puddle game that bit off way more than it could chew
Justin Peterson
This is the gist of it. It's all just grinding on boring as fuck worlds while being told to do the game's dogshit story.
Same experience I had with it. I had to go through some grindy process to fix my ship, then after you can fly around you're given more tasks that are just shooting rocks, and then I realized that shooting rocks is going to be 95% of my time spent in the game so I just quit.
I can't really decide which would be worse to play; this or Starbound.
Aiden Walker
Good
Jaxson Scott
No it's not. It's literally "go collect minerals to collect more minerals" the game.
Isaiah Martinez
so like most survival builder shits? at least it has the space travel angle going for it unlike minecraft shit
Oliver Johnson
you shilled for this a few hours ago op stop being a faggot
Isaiah Gray
>6 years to put a screen shake option in their game so people don't have to mod it out lol
Julian Price
Haven’t played in a long time. Worth checking out again?
Luke Garcia
>And yet people seem to dislike it? How come? because its forever unfinished space is empty with nothing to do except send frigates on offscreen missions aliens are woefully undercooked you spend a hundred hours just trying to find a habitable planet that doesn't have acid storms or some neon hellscape color palette i will agree the base building is good, except underwater because none of the planets i found had very deep water. freighter is was fun but at the end of the day only good for massive jump drives so you can spend more countless hours finding a planet that isn't a shithole.
Austin Hernandez
>You spend the entire game holding down your SPACE MINING GUN that's only the early game. eventually you get automated miners so you can go do other things and then you find out how truly empty the game is.
Zachary Johnson
They technically added multiplayer but it still isn't quite like the "it's incredibly rare but you might happen to see someone else, or even pass them by without even knowing it" that they talked it up as. It's more like your standard matchmaking multiplayer than anything. I don't go around shitting my pants about how they lied to us, but it would've been cool to have an experience like it sounded like it was going to be.
Logan Garcia
>And yet people seem to dislike it? How come? SEAN LIED OMG aside, it's wide as an ocean and deep as a puddle, which doesn't really hold my interest. It's like the space exploration equivalent of borderlands having A MILLION BAJILION GUNS! and you find out that "the same gun but with a scope" counts as a separate gun. I'll give them credit for how much they updated it though when they easily could've just taken the money and ran
Matthew Martin
>2018 pass user I mean sure there's more than one of those but is it really the same person? no mans sky is a mockery of the time spent playing it.
Dominic Phillips
I saw there's a few mods, like one that changes planet generation. Do any of these make it better? I hate how shitty all the planets are.
Isaiah Russell
I've been trying to get back into it buts its SO FUCKING UNOPTIMIZED!!!!!!!!!!!!
Michael Johnson
user, those have been in the game for a while now
Matthew Diaz
Performance issues kill it.
Gavin Bailey
Both about on the same level of shit, NMS is slightly better, but not by much NMS is pretty at least. sometimes
Cooper Martin
>All of these things takes weeks or months to do I just started a new save, it has 9 hours of gameplay and I have already unlocked everything I mentioned.
>freighters You get one for free after 5 warps which shouldn't take more than 5 hours of gameplay without even knowing about this mechanic. You can do it in less if you are aware of the mechanic and go out of your way to warp 5 times quickly instead of chilling in the 4 first systems.
>being the mayor of a settlement I got mine 7 hours into the save, but most guides say you can get it right after the tutorial and the first main story mission (so like 3 hours into the game)
>taming pets Can do it right from the start, just craft creature pellets from carbon
>I had to go through some grindy process to fix my ship Holy mother of ADHD. The "fix your ship" tutorial may be a drag, but it teaches you essential mechanics to be self sufficient. It teaches you how to navigate around the HUD, study what your equipment needs to get going, use the scanner to find the materials, craft it, install it, how to manage slots, how to recharge equipment, and so on. You can do all that in less than 10 minutes. Most games have longer tutorials that take longer to explain much more basic stuff.
>then after you can fly around you're given more tasks that are just shooting rocks You mean the game teaching you how to fuel your ship by mining asteroids? Which you can complete in LITERALLY LESS THAN ONE MINUTE? I think it takes 15 seconds to destroy three asteroids, put the fuel in the engine and get going.
>and then I realized that shooting rocks is going to be 95% of my time spent in the game This is so wrong. If anything the game is a walking simulator.
Planets can never be fixed because they will never have multiple “biomes”
Justin King
it literally has them
Nathaniel Flores
no the best you can get is mods that make it so easy its pointless or slight alterations that make the game less unbearable like faster refining or running
Jack Butler
Well shit, that single biome bullshit sucks.
Isaiah Nguyen
>do not talk to tripfag.jpg
Elijah Wilson
>>day 1 it’s a fucking Minecraft resource gathering grind IT IS NOT. PLAY THE GODDAMN GAME. You can buy full stacks of basic resources for pennies in any space station. Are you out of ferrite dust? Just buy 1k of those for like 20k units. 20k units is NOTHING, you will casually find 150k artifacts in your first hour of gameplay. That's enough to buy the space station's full stacks of ferrite dust, carbon, oxygen, sodium, whatever you idiots consider "grinding". The space station limits how much you can buy at once to ~700. But that's enough to get you going for several hours. Unless you plan to build huge bases, in which case it is totally fair that you spend a few minutes grinding ferrite dust before you can undertake a gigantic project. I REPEAT. You don't need to do any grinding. You can do ANY activity, you WILL get rewarded for it and you CAN exchange this reward for materials.
>They technically added multiplayer but it still isn't quite like the "it's incredibly rare but you might happen to see someone else, or even pass them by without even knowing it" that they talked it up as ... How? It literally is. The MMO hub is one thing, but you can still find other players if they do happen to come across your planet.
Josiah King
I didn't like it at first because of the big list of things not in the game from Reddit. But then Internet Historian posted a video saying it's good now. It's still not the game it was sold as, as I understand (haven't played) but the video says it's made a complete 180 so I'm a huge fan.
Mason Brooks
I don't get what is the beef of you idiots with this game. It is the perfect sandbox.
>it is all about grinding and shooting rocks! IT IS NOT. YOU CAN DO ANYTHING. Want to hunt space pirates? Just go to an outlaw station, talk to the bounty master and get some bounties. A 15 minutes early game bounty can easily grant you 300k+upgrades. These 300k can be converted in max stacks of all early game resources. They can get you going for a very long while. Prefer to explore planets? Install some scanner mods. You will get loads of money for scanning, I'm talking about 200k for each fauna. Not to mention the treasure you can dig. The list goes on. YOU DON'T NEED TO GRIND
Jaxson Gray
oh wow you're even using the same images. I'm going to stop clicking on your threads god damn
Jacob Smith
Crafting is boring
Anthony Moore
The game is still a boring heap at its core and there's no amount of filler they can add on to it to make it feel any less shit. The core of the game is supposed to be exploration but every planet looks identical, at least enough to make wandering around the repetitive POI's more akin to a chore than an experience. Everything else they add is just pointless bullshit padding that serves no purpose other than to give you something to grind for no reason like a fucking mmo. Last I saw it has some kinda hub with daily quests and multiple currencies which I'm well beyond burned out on. The game is still gay and so are the people who shill it.
Jack Cruz
You won't stop.
Hudson Powell
you'd be mistaken. I don't care about no mans sky to enter another thread about it. Goodbye and good luck with your atrocious posts
Landon Cox

You made this exact thread few days ago, how much is Sean Murray paying you?
Parker Lewis
I think I saw a multi biome mod I don't know how well it works or if its even updated though
Evan Butler
I pirated this game and still felt like I was taken advantage of
