Bro, did you just try to heal?

Dude just parry this guy

>he parried the crucible knight
you didn't beat him

Bro, did you just swing that sword at me while I was blocking?

>try to play normally
>gruelling fight where you have to run away to heal and deal with infinite strings
>pick up a small shield
>becomes the most predictable and pathetic enemy in the game
is this good design? making enemies have one solution that instagibs them and everything else sucks dick?

I hate how all the bosses in the starting area are just the regular enemies from the other ones

noooo you can't block and guard-counter with a 2hander! look at the chip damage!

>gruelling fight where you have to run away to heal and deal with infinite strings
Nah its a pretty normal fight if you actually know how to play the game.

That webm is before the patch where they buffed it too.

nice stamina management retard

>literally blocks you're path

I don't claim to be perfect but I properly avoided and punished everything in that webm so I'd say I did just fine.

>you have to run away to heal
Then you're fighting him wrong. He has multiple attacks that give you enough time to heal. His combos are easy to read too.
The game teaches you not to walk away from enemies but to earn your heals.

He didn't get hit once, it was good enough

my first encounter with that thing was on four bell towers or whever he stood on that broken part of bridge in that underground starry place
still don't understand what was the porpuse of that location

He was literally just lucky that the enemy didn't choose to punish it

I love crucible knights. All my playthroughs I fight the one in the evergoal with a new build to get used to it

>lucky
There's zero luck happening in that webm lmao all of those combos are fixed strings.

Can you look like him in the game?

No, I just kept using that backstabbing spell while running around in circles.

Input reading heals doesn't even lead to more fun gameplay, it just means you run a bit further back and then heal
It's awful

>has several clear openings
>no infinite strings
Dumb as dirt.

>manages to have enough stamina to do everything he wanted
Surprised you know how to read, brainlet.

i didn't even know guard counters existed till after i beat the game lol.

Wow, incredible game design

I'll post this every time you try to spread this lie.

NO NO NO DELETE THIS DELETE IT RIGHT NOW MY NARRATIVE NOOOOOOOOO

The sword one does in its 2nd phase. Where it adds the tail whip at the end, he can physically do whatever he pleases. He's shit designed.
His only truly save attack to punish in the 2nd phase is the shield bash, otherwise you're going to be attempting to jump attack during his stomp into double swing for a small amount of damage.
He's shit and many of the "higher tier" enemies follow his pattern. The worst ones are the ones which strafe left-and-right while staring you down, doing nothing but the moment you push a button they immediately attack.
I like the game and have 500 hours in it, but I am not afraid to criticise it either.

just roll through and heal behind him it's not hard

>stamina management
literally irrelevant since BB

Explain

What are we supposed to be seeing here?

UHH ZELDASISTERS?? I THOUGHT ONLY ELDEN RING HAD BROKEN AI??

I downloaded the fuck out of crucible knights and never once parried or blocked across three playthroughs. They're very good and balanced enemies.

git gud

Guy in the webm is like 90% through the healing animation before the nights cavalry does anything. The reality is, elden ring DOES have input reading heal punishes, but nights cavalry isnt one of them. He just happened to attack around that time coincidentally and everyone on Yea Forums just assumes its input reading when they see it. You can easily test it yourself in game.

I both love and loathe enemies that you have to respect

>Where it adds the tail whip at the end,
You mean where it adds a free jump attack at the end. The tail actually makes the second half easier because you get to play jump rope.

>notice enemy is vulnerable for a bit longer after certain attacks
>bait them
>heal
or
>bait them
>attack
or run further back and risk learning that the enemy has a quick gap closer.
it's great design. git gud.

your average Elden Ring crybaby never got past the Chained Ogre in Sekiro before screaming and pissing and shitting and going back to Dark Souls because it's easier.

Imagine thinking Video Games are Difficult. Imagine actually believing you have more value as a human being because you hit the buttons on the controller good.

love this shit. crucible knights are damned fun

You don't play
He can chain his "sippy punish" to whatever the fuck he likes meaning waiting for whiffs is unfeasible

You can find the armor set, but it looks like garbage on the player cause you're not a giant like them

>grueling fight
You actually need to git gud.

my favourite part of elden ring is when the game turns off your lock on if you get grabbed

But it's you that didn't play the game user. If you have a window to attack, you have a window to heal. t. beat Crucible Duo in two tries, no status effects, sword and board.

I think Crucible Knights might be some of my favorite enemies in the series. Great aesthetic, classy moveset, and the angelic transformation is cool.

I do play and I get hit
i have plenty of time to heal without running away
Some attacks leave them vulnerable for longer

It's mine too. It makes the grab look better visually, and the animation gives you a lot of time to lock back on. It's a really nice system.

you can't lock on before the animation is done but nice try
wipe the cum off your lip

How come that usually people like to use shorthands for everything, but they still call them Crucible knights instead of X-ble knights?

why would anyone do any of that and hope the enemy does something slow when they can run away and heal 100% of the time

You first

I can't for the life of me beat the crucible knight and misbegotton warrior duo, the warrior I can kill but the fucking knight and the arena are terrible

Did you beat the solo knight in the Evergaol? Good way to practice his moveset.

Guard counters are fucking amazing and shield is unironically the most fun way to play the game now

Whatever boss you think is the most poorly designed, nothing beats this

Attached: 1629250632597.jpg (1920x1080, 621.29K)

Honestly the most fun fights I've had in the game. I like when there's a learning curve rather than a "oh I need better gear or more vigor" curve

I haven't yet, not even exaggerating when I say I tried the duo 20 times already and still haven't gotten used to his moves since he doesn't pause, especially in phase 2

>locks you in particle hell
>two fire attacks and your framerate can go back to normal
why even bother adding this

Feels like a ds2 boss. At least it dies fast.

Except that curve never exists in an open world game where you can overexplore and trivialize everything

>he uses rolling iframes
>he uses poise
>he blocks
>he heals
hope none of you invalidated your runs by doing any of these

do this in phase 2

The dungeon bosses are 99% garbage. I don't know what they were thinking.
