it's cross and not X duh.
it's called fork
>not X
>it's clearly and X
>a literal "ECS"
I don't get it wtf
Sure, and parallelograms are rectangles.
Dude this is a cross
>+
this is where our lord saviour Christ died
that's plus sign
And guess where Saint Andrew the Apostle died
When the teacher tells you to cross the correct answer, do you just add a plus sign instead?
It's called cross because the two lines cross and what mark do you put when you cross something out?
Of course it's a Cross. The other buttons are shapes.
>Press the circle button.
>UH ACKHYUALLY IT'S THE 'O' BUTTON
>X on keyboard
name ONE fucking game
any rpgmaker game
I use X to swap to fireballs/potions in my hotbar in Minecraft PvP.
I can hardly think of a game that doesn't have x default mapped to something
Deus ex
Deus Fork
any FPS
Kek
ON THE FORK
PlayStation controller uses shapes and it is so difficult because of that.
It's × and not X
The symbols are "batsu" (X) and "maru" (O) which are used in japan to represent no and yes rather than the english letters "X" and "O" so technically it's the batsu button not the X button. Which is especially fucked when you consider that by switching the functionality of X and O for western playstation consoles the no button is for confirming and the yes button is used to go back or cancel
X is generally mapped to fire mode for fps games
It's X.
Default crouch button in Elden Ring with M+KB
It's
It's not a letter, it's a shape. An x is different than a ⨯, believe it or not. Like how it's a ◯ is different than an O
Zero, Box, Fork and Pyramid.
The X is silent, like in Hunter x Hunter
>fork
fat fucking americans
what the fuck? i always called it hunter ecks hunter
The x is always silent when you're using the "a x b" format in Japanese. It's the same with pairings, "Naruto X Sakura" reads "Naruto Sakura" or "NaruSaku"
my whole existence is a lie
This is why you should pay attention to what's actually being said in your animes instead of just reading the subs at 2x speed.
if we're getting real autistic, squares are just equi-angular rhombi
It's Hunter times Hunter
I like to think of them as two triangles in love
Any NES emulated game. Z and X ftw
Its Cross.
X is for swapping from single to full auto. Or z x c for prone crouch stand, or zxc for games that use the arrow keys like arcade type games.
japanese people use maru and peke to mean yes and no

>日本では「不正解」「誤り」「悪い」を表すバツ印「×」の対になる記号として、「正解」「正しい」「良い」を表すのに用いられる[1][2]。
Xbox literally acknowledges the PS calling it "Cross" thing in the tweet
So there's nothing for Snoys to "ackchually" about.
>includes a keyboard
uhh what retard made this??
>peke
Actually, most people don't fucking read so they'd bitch about it anyway.
It's batsu, not cross
My friends call the circle button the "ball" button.
True.
user, batsu is the normal reading not peke. Your gaijin is showing.
I honestly have never heard anyone in real life call it cross.
i've played too much peke channel to read it that way
Abes odyseey
I'm in agreement with the Snoys in saying that Nintendo's button placement is fucking retarded.
Nintendo and Sony have the same button placement. The functions of ○ and × are swapped on western consoles because red is no and X is kinda like a check mark.
Its the same thing.
I don't take issue with which button is used for confirmation, I take issue with the fact that B is before A and Y is before X when reading left to right.
It's not, × has been used in japan to mean no since the kofun period (300AD), long before the letter X was introduced there.
Japanese is read left to right vertically, it's two vertical pairs of a then b and x then y
Right to left*
