i wanted one when it came out, however i was so impressed with ps1 that i was sold on the ps2, and, even though i was 16 and had a job, i also had a gf, which is expensive in both time and money and so could only afford one console. i'm usually more careful about run-on-sentences when i write but can't be assed to rephrase it

The PS2 had a much more extensive library of good games. Many first party GC exclusives were also kinda awkward actually, Sunshine is basically That Level: The Game, WW had that dumb ass padding triforce hunt, TP was TP, Star Fox got turned into something completely different, etc.

when I went garage sale hopping 6 years ago every single house was full of these old fucks rushing for the older games because they think it'll make them thousands of dollars. Im 100% convinced these boomers are what ruined video game collecting to begin with and now we'll deal with the ramifications forever.
Oh well, though. now a days I have dolphinbar hooked up to my PC and I use a real wiimote plus to play on it. Dolphin developed a 1:1 recreation of the wii and with emulation naturally comes enhancements so I dont mind. I also got lucky with a genuine gamecube controller so I use that for my GC games. dont give these fucks any money either hack a wii or learn to emulate

Look up the Panasonic Q GameCube model. The Panasonic Q model has a built in DVD player. It was Japan only unfortunately but it would've probably helped sales a bit if it got released in the west.
