So, is it better than warband?

So, is it better than warband?

I feel like it came out way too late unless you like the army shit it's basically just a semi okay single player game. It's still not finished.

I don't like the leveling system or dynasty mechanics desu
I wish they made kingdom diplomacy deeper

Much better. Just a shame it's another title trapped in Early Access.

Sex with ur mum is better than Warband

Battles are nice, everything other than battles is half-baked and gay.

they divided too much time between single player and multiplayer so both suffered

The perks and dynasty mechanics don't really fit.
Combat is great, especially sieges.
Moddability is much improved.
Still missing Warband and VC features though. Wish they had put those in.

yes

Why is there no Warband mod for this game in development? I just want my swadians and vaegirs, bros..

Its streamlined so much its literally soulless, like you dont even need to talk to NPCs anymore because all the info is on the encyclopedia and all options are a right click away. Its impersonal as fuck.

That too. There should be options to turn off things like that.

There is, check modDB

Just like their other games then

Is it stable enough that I can pirate it and play for a few hundred hours without worrying about every new patch that comes out?

Definitely not better than modded Warband, that's for sure.

nope. Warband modded still has yet to be toppled, and the only game that comes the closest is that space game that I don't remember the name of off the top of my head. But it's still a pretty large gap

I'm probably just blind and retarded but I can't find it.

when will be finish will it ever?

Not even close.
Modded Warband it's miles superior in every way.

Hopefully modding will catch up soon.
Wait another 11 years. Please understand.

Nope, its still the exact same zero variety or builds campaign experience from back when it first released.

In some ways yes, when comparing base modules. But they're actively pushing back against mod makers so they've practically killed it. And the multiplayer is a complete joke in Bannerlord compared to Warband.

What are they doing against modders?

Continually doing meaningless updates that break all mods, not releasing mod tools etc. They're mad that modders fixed a bumch of bugs they couldnt fix, so they've been playing this shitty coy game with the mod community for a while now.

maker of the mod here, i removed it from all websites because after I transitioned a bunch of bigots who used it kept talking shit

Eh. It's different but it's missing a lot of things that made warband great.
I like the dynasty system and seeing important characters get old and die from aging or war, and new characters replacing them.
And I like the smithing to make your broken weapons.
But I hate the leveling system, especially the perks
>oh wow! A perk that gives me +3 max HP when the average damage is 70? Great!
I hate that 3 major factions uses the same troop tree.
I hate that as a king you have no control.
And I hate those fucking randomly generated companions. God, in 500 hours of playing, I remember only one of them, and that's because she was the only one who never annoyed me with getting captured every 5 minutes and when she did, she always escaped on her own without bothering me. Everyone else was replaceable.

Yeah

Butterlord, forgive me...

>/vg/ thread constantly dies
>Yea Forums thread dies
Dead game.

They don't have anything against the modders fixing their unfinished game, they're just Lazy Turks cushy selling in dollars while paying their staff in Liras and are content not adding anything meaningful to the game except
>rare crash fix
>balanced ye olde boots of faggotry to have 2 less armor points
>Khuzait unit buffed
because they still get 10k people playing their shit online daily and don't notice or care that the SP community is dying

It a great many ways it is, even beyond its EA problems, but there a few small things that I personally don't prefer in it that keep me playing Warband. Maybe my opinion on it will increase when a few more come out, for now I stick to Warband and WFAS
t.1600 hours in Warband, 600 in WFAS, and 200 in Bannerlord

I still think vanilla Warband is better than vanilla Bannerlord. l feel like relationships with npcs in Warband feel more natural, rewarding and well conceived. In Bannerlord everything feels pointless and unfun

What mods fix armour?

This holy fuck who cares about multi the single player doesn't fucking work and there's 0 investment into the world

I blame MPniggers for this.
In the previous games they finished SP and then added MP. Should've done the same here.

>let's add a perk system
>let's make each perk have really insignificant bonus that it doesn't actually change gameplay, like +1% attack speed or +4 max HP
>but also let's lock some of those perks behind a choice, permanently locking out the other option
So why even add a perk system if you're going to gimp it so hard?

Yea that game IS pretty cool, huh

And attributes do nothing now.

Of course it does, silly.
It add +0.0003 xp multiplier to all its associated skills.

How would I pirate it

It's still not finished so no

Any mod that fixes it?

>because they still get 10k people playing their shit online daily and don't notice or care that the SP community is dying
Bro...the game doesn't even have enough players at any time of day to fill a single siege server. 98% of people are playing singleplayer until custom servers are in.

>oh wow! A perk that gives me +3 max HP when the average damage is 70? Great!
To be honest, the perks are divided in two parts - personal and party/formation. While some might have lackluster personal bonus, the party bonus might compensate for it.

Since attributes do nothing I just use a character editor to always get both perks.

Mostly unrelated, but what's a good name for a mercenary company?

I had warband sitting in my library for a while, I feel like picking it up again. What's the best mod for it?

Gekokujo

What do you even do in MnB game exept fighting? Got both games, played only bannerlord - warband's overworld map is such an unseemly sight.

The problem is more that a perk system works when the difference between choices are noticeable immediately.
In this game, you barely see that much difference until endgame, where if you picked the right options, suddenly your party can wreck armies thrice its size.

That, and I've heard great things about warsword, pendor and perisno

There's no one big rebalancing mod, just a bunch of unit tree mods, many of them just make very obnoxiously large trees with a bunch of steps and branches that are even blander than vanilla, and they all have that FUCKING irritating habit of throwing in random Greek/Latin/Celt/Arabic words in there without keeping a consistent theme or a convention for how much of each language should be used.

Bannerlord modding is kinda ass if you just want a Vanilla+ experience. Modders are faggots.

Is the LOTR mod finished yet?

>Company of the Blade
>The Northern/Southern/Eastern/Western Company
>Company of The Isle
>Company of Freedmen
>The Fuzzy Pickles
>Iron Company
Etc...

played all 3, they're all alright
I think I liked Pendor the most, but it's much more grindy than the others, with more content made for late game. I dig it though. And I love the ability to create your own knight order and fit and train your troops into whatever you want, I wish more mods had this sort of thing.
The voice acting had to have been one of the most retarded ideas though.

Battle Brothers.

>Battle Brothers
Brothel Bathers

so just like Warband?

better sieges than warband

Best thing about pendor are the custom army spawns imo.
Breaks up the monotony and rewards you with those gems if you beat them.

Brothel enterprise when?
Slavery when?
They'd fit the time period.

Bottle Bothers

I’ve been playing nothing but warsword for about a week, it’s pretty fun if wildly unbalanced.

Is there a bannerlord equivalent yet?

In development, original gekokujo dev is in on it too, but nothing playable yet

Touhou mod devs are still busy making scenes.

>spess mountain blade
Starsector?

It's late antiquity/early medieval so you have indentured servitude instead of slavery, but as it is lords(or even notables don't really have much control over their fiefs at all

There isn't really a lot of detail in the society in Bannerlord cause you never see low and middle level structures of power, only notables who seem to represent everything from village elders to town mayors and unspecified aristocracy. It makes getting quests from them feel very weird because you don't know who or why holds authority.

no. the map is too big making cities less important, less unique, and ruins the strategy of the overworld map gameplay. it is an unintelligently made game.

The Byzantines still had slavery, the Italians had slavery. The Arabs had lots of slavery.
The slaves were getting more and more rights but slavery was still there.

They have an order of magnitude more resources than when they made warband. The paltry effort they put towards multiplayer is not the reason they couldnt get basic perks functional for literal years.

starsector is great, I fucking love flying my Doom
