Meanwhile I hated Scarlet Nexus (easily one of my most hated games of the past few years) and thinking that Code Vein 2 will be designed like that game makes me wish that they never make a Code Vein sequel.

Reminder that Code Vein did the "giant colorful tree" thing before Elden Ring did.

Also the game is actually built with your AI partners in mind so the enemies and their attacks are designed around this rather than your AI partner turning bosses into jokes. They also aren't lobotomized like poor Mimic Tear and will do useful things and stay alive.

The game's bosses do start to show hints of being ER-like cancer bosses towards the end of the game though.

Game is dogshit if you cheat and use companions but a decent soulslike if you choose not to

That's the thing: I don't like moviegames; I find them boring. So when I realized that I spent more time watching cutscenes and talking to people than actually playing the game I realized that it was time to cut my losses even when I paid full price for Scarlet Nexus.

I forgot to complete it years ago, played 120 hours of ER and then came back to finish the job. It didn't overstay its welcome and wasn't a chore until the final boss, so I was happier than before and then sad I left the game alone for so long.
