Mega Man Battle Network

I honestly don't care much for Mayl. I just want a Battle Network thread. C&F posting is welcome too, I guess.

No one cares about BN, not even capcom, people just want the cunny.

>don’t care
Rethink how remake might blackwashed her?

And that's a based thing.

Why BN never got a next gen port and X and Zero did? Was it seriously THAT bad?

I'm thinking about how the remake will blackwash the Hikaris.

There was a touhou version of battle network going around right? Anybody got a link to it? I think you played as Alice or something

Mayl more like Male

Capcom's just embarrassed over creating a blatant Pokémon-wannabe.

It should be in one of these links.

Tell me anons, when did you first play these games?

I played the BN games when they came out. I still play Classic and X today.

I picked up the first game a few days ago. Really enjoyable but the map design and encounter rates give me a headache.
I'm wondering if I should skip to 2, but I feel bad doing that

On release, I was very lucky to find the first game on a store since during that time capcom allocations to europe were pathetic, I had a lot of trouble finding BN2 and BN3 as they came out, and as for the zero games forget it I wanted to buy them but had to emulate
Been a megamanfag since megaman 3 on NES

One of these days I wanna replay BN3 and record various webms of busted as fuck chip combinations
Sort of related but I can't believe Flashman is fucking good despite being the 1st Navi chip you get

2 is a big step up but I think 1 is worth playing all the way, if you dont make sure to look up the ending in youtube as there are BIG plot spoilers that are not restated in the later games properly.

I find that hard to believe.

megaman is cute! cute!

I played BN3 when it was new and it was my first one. And I'm glad it was.

honestly you can play any of them individually without playing any of the others, except 5

Literally a couple of weeks ago because I was reading a manga called Konjiki no Gash and just assumed Battle Network was similar to that.

It's even more insane because you can get FlashMan V2 and V3 really early too, and if you get Aqua Style then combining it with IceStage just solves the rest of the game.

Leave tips for indies devs who're trying to ape BN

what are some good Battle Network alternatives?

Attached: one-step-from-eden.jpg (1125x685, 173.93K)

wood style + grass stage + undershot solves the game too

also plantman more busted navi chip then flashman

make it fast-paced. Be creative with every card. Use the concept and play around with it. Don't implement a stupid gimmick, the idea on it's own is perfect the way it is.

there're none, just what posted is as close as you can get

I don't see how card creativity helps when you don't have something like chip codes to balance it out, otherwise you're just going to use the best stuff always

Don't make it a roguelike or have any procedural generation in general. Just make dungeons and let me amass a deck as I play through the game.

Why do all these indie copycats remove the turns? Non-stop battling is stressful as fuck.

soulless

there aren't any. Shanghai.exe is the closest you're gonna get

shanghai gensoo network or something like that, despite the trannyhou theme, it's a really well made game, definitely up there with bn6 in terms of quality. loads better than bn4 5 and 1

Shanghai.exe is the only one that got it right

the one im gonna make some day

Belly Erotic ToT

The first Navi chip is almost always one of the best. Look at BlastMan in BN6.

They should be on a portable console, for one, I hope they make a steam deck micro

I never played these games.

BN girl sketch requests? Mayl, Yai, Jasmine, Meddy, and Rollexe preffered.

looks like shit

And that's because it's a complete copy as it should be

tamako

>"This time I'm gonna beat the whole BN series for sure"

Been like this since the games first came out, the farthest I've made it is somewhere in the middle of BN3.

I want to go back and replay the games but hard mode isn't unlocked at the beginning and normal mode is boring as fuck :(

Could always make it use an energy system like StS, with some cards allowing you to cheat the system somewhat.

Attached: bWFnYXppbmUxNTMzNzE4MjEyMTk2.jpg (1920x1080, 505.8K)

I didnt even know there was a hard mode.

It's early in development.

Is this Rommi/Rommy? May I request a ribbitta and Princess pride giving a boo job to ribbitta’s microphone?

BN2 has hard mode, the other games don't besides BN4 which was designed to be played multiple times with the game becoming hard mode on the 2nd run and super hard mode from the 3rd onwards.

Only 2 got it? Thats bizarre, and disappointing.

BN1 is honestly the worse and feel like a prototype. Bn2 is already vastly better and 3 is pretty much perfect.

The boss design in general was better after 3, and 3 in particular has the hardest bosses.

Yeah you are right, and all the games have superbosses for challenge anyways.

Seconded.

>BN4 which was designed to be played multiple times with the game becoming hard mode on the 2nd run and super hard mode from the 3rd onwards.

The game got extremely annoying to play in Very Hard Mode, since the only viable folder was the Silver Bullet. V code was nasty in 4.
