Don't think that Kubo doesn't want a piece of that low effort cash grab sequel like Toriyama and Kishimoto have going. Remember that Kubo started an entirely new series Burn the Witch, only to back off, and also start another sequel, Hell Arc, only to also sideline that while the bleach anime is in production.
His end goal is just to sell these ideas off and be a source for character designs and general plot. He doesn't really intend to do manga as his job anymore.
