I think the author knew he couldn't end it soon and have it be a satisfying end so he just went off the deep end. The character still hold up so I didn't mind

Same here, I founded the whole thing incredibly engrossing and breezed through it in several weeks. The escalating chaos and immense detail of the artwork had me turning the page begging for more.

The best thing about Gantz O was erasing Tae from the canon and making Reika the actual main girl and main romantic interest. She cares about Kurono the most out of anyone and it shows.

It was cute the first time when he was the most experienced and psychopathic character at the time. It was very silly that Kurono would bring him when the very next mission had much more promising recruits who would actually cooperate.

Idk man, maybe take from the era of publication, and just do GTA sized maps +Gunz the duel gamplay with the customization of WWF Smackdown? Put that over random team lobbies. Aliens can be computer controlled or players. The stronger the alien, the smaller the alien team is.
