Garlic knight is capable of moving in dark region for a limited time. The risk of moving in the dark is that he shrinks. If he stays in the dark too long, he risks reverting back into a small garlic and dying.

Vampire princess has multiple different types of antique ranging from a Rug that absorbs sunlight rays, vase that releases dark clouds which was used to block out the sun, antique clock that manipulate time so its constantly night.

The more sun Garlic knight has the bigger he becomes.

I suppose if it is just stopping celestial objects, then yeah, you probably can't use it one people, strange as that may be, unless you found a way to convert it.
