FFT is probably one of the most overrated games of all time
The story is generic
The gameplay is barebones
The visuals are muddy
The other tactics games are a step in the right direction, but too easy. I'd rather they just continue in that direction instead of rereleasing old shit anyways.

Probably. Square already trademarked a Tactics Ogre game which is probably a remake. The Nvidia leak had Tactics Ogre and FFT remakes in it.

there is no original intent faithful version of FFT. War of the Lions is better translated but it uses shakesperian english which annoys a lot of people and, for the most part, is not accurate to the original japanese script, where the vast majority of the characters use modern japanese.

The PS1 translation uses current english but a lot of lines are botched completely, and not just in dialogue. In one map they literally translated the objective wrong.

You can beat that fight as any class in the game. Equip a chameleon robe, Wiegraf won't use his sword skills on you.
