Which one? Because the only ones I can think of are either arcadey like Dream Tank Match, or hardcore grognard stuff like Kharkov Steel Fury. Or things like Panzer Elite, Panzer Front etc but those are ancient.

I did try it, with STA, but I wouldn't call it on the same level of GFRB. You can play the latter on a gamepad. Meanwhile, with the attempts I made with SF I'd mostly end up dead within the first couple of minutes. Unless there's difficulty settings I missed?

Yeah, I think that might the issue - I was finding myself getting sniped by enemy AT guns that I could see maybe a pixel's worth over a ridge, or from behind impenetrable bushes or what have you.
It didn't help that when I did try it, I couldn't complete the tutorial about squad command as there was some bug or other that meant the forces I was commanding would ignore enemies. Like to the extent of walking literally past or through them, and I couldn't get them to attack.
Maybe a more urban map would have been better? But I couldn't find a way to play on one of those.
