More development time on fleshing out the hybrid open-world dungeons like Redmane Castle, Castle Sol, Nokron, Nokstella, Carian Manor, Castle Morne, Shaded Castle, Sellia, Moghwyn Palace, Deeproot Depths
Compared to similar smallish levels in previous games, like Upper Cathedral Ward, the Profane Capital, Mibu Village etc. I think they do a decent enough job, but if they had the same amount of development focus put it into them as the six 'main' legacy dungeons, the scope of the world could've been even greater.

I'm a turbo casuals so I don't even fully recognize what's wrong with the game. I would say that Miyazaki really needs to come up with quest lines that don't just end with characters dying/mutilated/becoming some sort of monster. Not saying he should completely get rid of these, but it feels like vast majority of them end like this.
They need to improve boss AI to deal with more than one player, I'm not even memeing.
If they did that the multiplayer would improve greatly.

Nerf the horse somehow. It broken as fuck and makes the open-world section a joke. You can run away from anything the cool looking monsters aren't threatening this way. I still remember getting scared of the first dragon landing next to me out of nowhere just to realize I can hop on the fucking horse and laugh at it.
Fix netcode.
Hosts get rune arcs and 50% the invader's rune req for levelling up for killing invaders. Invaders get 10% level up runes for killing the host and phantoms (this amount can be huge for passworded summons).
Nerf bleed buildup, demanding Arc investment. Increase WA cost of RoB and Moonveil by at least 50%. Shield Bash, Lion's Claw, and other basic WAs are now cheaper to use.
Midroll now has DaS1 tier recovery and costs twice as much stamina to roll with. Sprinting costs slightly more as well. Fastroll is untouched.
