How are you enjoying Elden Ring so far?
How are you enjoying Elden Ring so far?
I beat the game and stopped playing.
Not replaying it until the DLC.
Dont know if I'll finish my 2nd play through. The bosses are must so bad. Will probably wait for DLC
I can't recall seeing another single player game get nerfs/buffs so much. This is retarded.
I dropped it 10 hours in and never looked back.
I started playing it 2 days ago. Honestly I dont know if I like it. Its not bad ,but it also feels pointlessly large and empty and side dungeons just feel shitty. Kinda reminds me of skyrim in a weird way
60 hours in and I'm starting to lose interest, it can be a real slog sometimes
60hrs is a lot for any game
and I'm not even finished with the second dungeon ffs
I haven't even bought it
This game progresssion is wack, i literally have no idea where the fuck im going since i don't want to look up at guides, ill just look at it and apparently i skipped the lucaria academy because i used some ancient elevator.
Im giving up in playing this shit blind.
I beat it on xbox and bought it on pc because im a retard who loves repetition and wanted better pvp.
Whats the lore behind us not being able to die properly? They mention true death returning to the erdtree but most characters just say be carefuk try not to die. They all only die once why are we so special? Is it because we can see the grace?
Hmm, have you tried playing better?
i wanted an adventure and i got an adventure. i don't know how i'm able to co-op for days on end, though. maybe i i just don't want it to end?
Feels like 10 minutes of story padded through a 100 hour experience. The game shines when exploring through well thought out areas and then just shits the bed with a deluge of pointless, tedious, repetitive boss fights.
I regret my purchase
haven't gotten it yet since I'm broke as shit currently, but a lot of my friends that know I'm into video games keep asking my opinions on it/if I've played/telling me I'll love it. I've never played a dark souls/fromsoft game ever, I only have a basic understanding of why this one is supposedly so phenomenal. Would you guys care elaborating why people would feel that way? I feel like a lot of it is just people memeing the current popular thing ad nauseam - which is great for video games to get that kind of exposure imo, but I just feel like I'm hearing about it so much because it's the new big thing
Honestly I feel like the game delivered for the insane levels of hype behind it, that's something only 1% of all videogames can be proud of
Certainly feels a lot more open, with previous souls-like games, you were following a series of paths that lead through forests, cities, settlements, caves and caverns and the like, but now?
It's just peaceful in its own way, so open, so full of possibility. It's the kind of thing you don't really appreciate until you experience it first hand after so long.
what was so hyped up about it though? like what were you personally looking forward to about the game compared to all the other fromsoft games? all I knew about it prior to release was the GRRM involvement, which I figure is how it go so big with even normies
You can still go back. Why are you so against picking up map fragments?
From earned a solid and loyal fanbase though the years, open world and GRRM involvement (normalfag magnet). Even Elon Musk sharing memes about ED in his official twitter.
The hype was real and we didn't get a CP2077 situation
that's solid. I definitely feel ya on how rare it is when games live up to their hype. I'm glad y'all are enjoying it that much then
I played it for the first time yesterday. I just ran to that first guy with his golden horse and died a couple of times after 2 hits.
Then I quit
Really enjoying it still, I just entered the capital. I'm trying to explore as much as I can and it's fun but can be a little draining. I'm looking forward to a second playthrough when I know where things are and can pick and choose what content I want to complete. It seems like it could have similar replay value to Dark souls 1 for me, which none of the other souls games really provided.
I think im getting fatigued of the souls formula. Im really enjoying the game after the first 50 hours but its not resonating with me the way that the dark souls games did. My hundreds of hours of experience with the series, the ease of becoming overpowered, and the lack of any consequences in combat make everything feel so unimpactful.
99% of encounters feel like im just removing trash enemies from my way as i progress. Theres no actual choices you have to make in combat like in DS1 or 2. Its like your capable of everything, using every piece of equipment and using as much stamina as you want. DS3 already had this issue a bit, but mitigated it with a much more focused progression in power.
The exploration of the overworld is not fun for me. Its nice riding through an area the first couple of times, but i have the autistic need to find every cavern, lest i miss a key story item or ability.
really fun until the elden beast. worst final boss of any game ive ever played ever. what the fuck were they thinking. boring and tanky. i hated the placidusax fight so much but at least looking back i can say it was cool as fuck conceptually. elden beast sucks my cock.
Love it. Pure STR build with colossal greatsword. But now I'm on the godskin duo and the revive shit is annoying.
If you stagger them while they're reviving it cancels it.
Yeah, trying that but just not having much luck so far.
>played it non stop and explored everything on my first playthrough
>0 desire to do anything on NG+
>anons complaining about NG+
>already played for 200 hours
Hmm kinda makes you think.
>played for 50 hours
>made 3-4 characters
>haven't gotten past the horse dude into the capital
>haven't been able to defeat radahn
>lost interest, will maybe make a new character again later
i've accepted that i will never complete this game
I was stuck at the Draconic Tree Sentinel for a while as well, he feels like another "plateau" to overcome, you'll get there
Also the hardest part of Radahn to me is not getting sniped by arrows at the beginning
I just tanked them with greatshield but run for cover and then time dodges well
I beat it already
moved on
you can get teleported behind his fog gate
The same for me when playing underrail I have like 500 hours in that game and never finished it and the furthest i've gotten is institute of tchort
those initial sniper shots are easy and fun to dodge roll through
after that just get on the horse and ride from the arrow rain
I pirated it and it stutters the fuck up on my 12700k 3070.
what a piece of shit
Radahn was such a fun fight. One of my favourites from From. And it's funny because the devs knew it was pretty great hence all the fanfare in the game. Literally a festival with NPCs showing up to fight with you.
about a year ago I realised my pc tower was a bit wonky, so I shoved an old ring under there to keep it steady (pic rel). now everytime I train (it's my gaming/gym room) and do pushups on the floor where I can see it or stretch over to touch my to toes or whatever and see it behind me I thinK OH YEAH, ELDEN RING, I WONDER WHEN THAT'S COMING OUT LMAO. ELDEN RING THAT SHOULD BE GOOD LOL. I mean it fell over ages ago and no longer offers any structural support to the machine but still you know? I will play it one day I guess.
>finished leyndell capital
>melina wants me to run more errands
I just kinda don't feel like it
Works great on my R75600H 3060mobile. I play at high-ultra at 1600p/60fps
3rd playthough. I realize lyndell is a comfty starting area and dex weps are no so weak as I once though.
But everytime I reach the lake area, it starts to become a slog
Got the platinum trophy, got my moneys worth, won't be touching it again.
Certain parts turn me off so bad I stopped enjoying it and moved on.
Finished my first playthrough a month and a half ago with around 180 hours clocked in. I'm not a fan of playing just for PvP, though i did play my fair share of it while going through the game. Safe to say I won't be returning to this game for atleast a year.
I'm honestly not. Ever since mid-game I've been forcing myself to play through it. Now I'm at Elden Beast and I just can't be bothered to fight another two badly designed bosses, one after another.
BB = Sekiro > DS1 > Elden Ring > DES > DS2 > DS3
Midwit
I'm up to like 350 hours, partway through NG+, I'll keep playing sporadically but I think I'm mostly done with the game until DLC comes.
This really was the worst one to go in blind on lol.
no u
I love Sekiro so much it's unreal
sad that it's all downhill from there
Here's the real "eLdEn RiNg" motherfucker (pls ignore the cobwebs)
Just summon Tiche and get it over with. Maliketh is the only endgame boss that's fun to fight solo.
ds3 > ds2 > elding > sekiro > ds1 > power gap (not on pc) > ds remake > bb
>B-b-badly designed!!
Kys.
I don't like your attitude boy
>where do i go
he says as he just got to a new area after skipping the previous one
get the map fragments
you can do raya lucaria whenever retard
I beat the game and have proceeded to larp as a crucible knight and invade people, bullying them relentlessly because people still can't deal with crucible tail for some reason.
Would Tiche be better than Mimic?
Nice argument, retard.
Gane has alot of flaws but is still pretty damn good.
Will most like win goty this year
Based
>can literally see the academy from almost every location in liurnia
>lmao didnt go there
Lost Ark already won the GOTY this year
>Keep getting summoned for fire giant
>Host and other cooperator keep dying almost immediately
>Even repeat hosts keep dying almost immediately
HOW? HE TAKES HALF AN HOUR FOR EVERY ATTACK.
>all these fags saying they dropped it halfway through
>mfw I'm going on 400 hours
Feels good to actually enjoy vidya
I couldn't get through most of the bosses in the game without summoning
It's impossible to die to him, what the hell
Based, it's refreshing reading positive posts, keep enjoying your time user
