Why didn't the dumbass in the picture address why people can't die in the land's between? Because the rune of death is removed and that means people can't die, but admitting to that is inconvenient to his point so he ignored it.

Shitty picture, don't post this dumb shit again.

but people do die, wtf are you talking about? all the undead shit only happened after the conspiracy night

>First bloom: Caelid
>Second bloom: Haligtree
>Third bloom: Bossfight
Anything else you're writing fan-fiction

Last thread the subject of Vyke being a renowned knight of the ancient dragon cult before becoming tarnished came up, and it got me curious about whether there are other tarnished whose pasts we know about. Godfrey we learn a lot about, obviously, but what about the others? Does anyone know of clues relating to the past lives of any other tarnished we meet in-game?

Ok but why does Miquella want to eclipse the sun?

kill his bro

dung eater i guess, he's a pretty simple character thought.

>First Bloom: Caelid
>Second Bloom: Boss Fight
Don't @ me lorelet

Give me half an hour to get back to my computer to post the chart

>The First Defense of Leyndell
>A sovereign alliance rots from within
>Traces yet remain of bloody conspiracy
Someone with access to the Jap text post the Jap for this.

第一次ローデイル防衛戦 君主連合、内から瓦解し敗軍となる 血の陰謀、その痕跡あり

konichiwa

Miquella was after Godwyn's dick

So I got one guy claiming that she hasn't bloomed three times
and then I got this guy claiming that Malenia's first bloom was in the Haligtree.

wew lad

初めてお目にかかります、アノンと申します。考察は経験がなく、ご迷惑をおかけすることもあるかと思いますが、頑張りますのでご指導のほどよろしくお願いいたします

>and then I got this guy claiming that Malenia's first bloom was in the Haligtree.

Who? They very plainly state where the first bloom is. It's not up to speculation

It's someone who didn't believe the game material.

Two people. The Bloom outside of the boss room is smaller, and has the same sort of Clothing as Millicent's sisters on it.
Its not Millicent or her 4 sisters specifically, but it is someone like them.

his doubts are not unfounded

>there's a random sixth sister who is never mentioned anywhere but they put a whole bloom there to represent her
Sure yeah why not

They put the clothes right there with the flower for a reason, and Gowry tells you to betray Millicent knowing it'll form a stronger bloom. Its implied they've done it before.

The 2nd bloom is completely unexplained, is it a fakeout and it's another Millicnet, maybe, but let's take a look at the facts.
>Title is goddess of rot
>"True" goddess of rot is a word tagged on by frognation, there is no "true goddess" in the japanese text, just "Goddess"
>She then starts chucking Scarlet Aeonias at you left and right, meaning it can go up to 4,5,6,7 blooms or more, easily more than three, yet she doesn't change.
>Scarlet Aeonia incantation itself refers to her as a goddess of rot
The theory it isn't her is very, very unsupported by in-game titles and events.

Here is my headcanon, Gowry says this shit
>Millicent trusts you, rather deeply in fact.
>Sever that trust. Nurtured by betrayal, her bud will flower most vividly.
>When Malenia ascends to godhood, Millicent too shall be reborn.
On Millicent's Prosthesis
>The despair of sweet betrayal transformed Millicent from a mere bud into a magnificent flower. And one day, she will be reborn—as a beautiful scarlet valkyrie.
For Millicent's quest there is a huge allusion to betrayal or despair making the bloom very violent.
There is no solid confirmation you need to be killed/stabbed for a scarlet bloom, just that it sort of happened the 1st and maybe 3rd time.
She blooms once in caelid, gets carried home, wakes up, realizes Miquella is gone, and then loses her fucking mind and drops another Aeonia, She then crawls up the tree, pulls up a chair, puts her hand on it and falls asleep.

his goals are beyond your understanding

The sun caused frenzy

Scarlet Aeonia jap description:
マレニアの腐敗の女神たる技
大輪の花を開き、朱い腐敗を爆発させる
朱い花が咲く度に、マレニアは腐敗する
それはもう二度咲いた
三度目に、きっと彼女は女神となる

DeepL translation:
The art of the goddess of corruption of Marenia.
A large flower opens and explodes with vermilion corruption.
Every time a vermilion flower blooms, Marenia corrupts.
It has already bloomed twice.
The third time, surely she will become a goddess

The jap description also calls her a goddess in the first sentence yet also says she will become a goddess in the last sentence. So, is she not really a god yet? Is "goddess of rot/corruption" just a title right now?

おまんこが大好き

>>"True" goddess of rot is a word tagged on by frognation, there is no "true goddess" in the japanese text, just "Goddess"
Translationfags broke lore threads forever. You're all schizo now, nothing is true

okay, take that one line out and then readress the post.

>The third time, surely she will become a goddess
She wasn't a true goddess during the second phase of the fight
you fucking translation faggots back off there
She's not nearly strong enough since she just transformed and isn't familiar with what she's transformed into, marked by that she uses pretty much the exact same fighting style.
If she blooms again, then she'll be a real goddess

The relationship between Godwyn and Miquella is mutual.
>Legendary talisman of wrought iron depicting a massive ancient dragon.
>The ancient dragons, who ruled in the prehistoric era before the Erdtree, would protect their lord as a wall of living rock.
And so it is that the shape of the dragon has become symbolic of all manner of protections.

Headcanon accepted

Best interpretation Elden Ring lore and the implications of the endings I've seen so far:

Exactly. She has bloomed a total of two times, and the first time was without a doubt in Caelid. This is said by one of the rot cultist ghosts. Therefore, the only other time she could have bloomed was during/after the boss fight. You only ever get the spell AFTER the fight is over, and if her bossfight was her third bloom this description wouldn't make sense. Only when the third bloom happens will she really become a goddess, and third bloom hasn't happened yet.

what the fuck is even the criteria for being a god anyways
what will god malenia be able to do that demi-god malenia couldnt

The flower outside the boss room is also noticeably smaller, in addition to the Millicent-style clothing on it

addressed in the last thread

Well she'll probably get her limbs and sight back.

Alright I'm back here's the again updated flowchart
I like this explanation, seeing miquella gone caused her to bloom again. Doesn't explain the clothes though, or why the flower is so tiny.

write fromsoft and have them put in a patch to correct the game to your headcannon, then we'll talk

>rots
>bloody
Malenia and Mohg formed an alliance and attacked the capital?

Seems to me the two main critera are:
1. Be an Empyrean
whatever that means, but not everyone can handle the godhood.
2. Get juiced up by an outer god
You need an Elden Ring, Advanced Rot condition, something to give you a big boost of power to get you up there.

deepl.com/translator#ja/en/三度目に、彼女は女神となる

show me a credible second bloom

why though

She gets naked when she blooms, they are her clothes.

They are not her clothes you retard it's Millicent/Melina's style of clothing. The game fucking spells it out for you how are you autismos this dense

malenia is clearly wearing the outfit on the left of the chart during her cinematic fight with radahn though, and no one in this game except us changes outfits.

So, setting the all-knowing lore ghost aside, I think it makes sense that Malenia would have to have bloomed sometime earlier than Caelid. Scarlet Aeonia says her Rot advances each time she blooms, and by the time of the Shattering she's already missing eyes and limbs from it. Pretty far along if you ask me. I think it makes more sense that she would have bloomed at least once before, possibly before Miquella created the Needle to prevent her from progressing any further.
I don't think we know where this bloom was, though I love the headcanon that her mentor had something to do with it.

Ranni got nakey for you though?

the item that says there were two blooms?

>autismos still talking about the flower when most of Malenia's content was cut
>Yea Forums trying to make sense of an unfinished game

The one outside the room is about half the size of Malenia's second from the boss fight, or the first from the trailer.

user all the drake talismans say that, it's not a Godwyn thing it's a dragon thing.

Attached: Untitled.png (838x548, 395.76K)

Yes, it was in my headcanon that somehow Elphae had some kind of dragonshit and Castle Sol worshipping Godwyn is not related to that.

Well Malenia's flower is potentially important, because if the conclusion is that she has now bloomed 3 times and isn't dead but waiting to be reborn as a "true" goddess, then both Malenia and Miquella are still alive and obvious DLC potential

Malenia loses her clothes every time she blooms, only reason her prosethetics and weapons stay are they are consecrated or made of unalloyed gold, Rest of her clothing is destroyed. I think it is she likely had a chance to change into new clothes multiple times between bloomings.
Finlay probably carried back Malenia completely naked.
Fun fact, in the game files, they're refered to as "Malenia's clothes" but obviously that doesn't count.
>also assuming she has to constantly walk around in boss armor
Please respond to these now:
>Title is goddess of rot
>She then starts chucking Scarlet Aeonias at you left and right, meaning it can go up to 4,5,6,7 blooms or more, easily more than three, yet she doesn't change.
>Scarlet Aeonia incantation itself refers to her as a goddess of rot

>The surcoat bears the crest of the Haligtree. Though watered with Miquella's own blood since it was a sapling, the Haligtree ultimately failed to grow into an Erdtree.

wtf does this even mean? i thought the erdtree was the result of the crucible/eldenring

youtube.com/watch?v=ikHozRC8uPQ

It means you can apparently grow a new erdtree.
>he Haligtree ultimately failed to grow into an Erdtree.
Mohg.

I remember some guy implying that the name of the world is Erde, and Erdtree would basically mean World Tree. The Haligtree growing into an Erdtree would just make it another World Tree.
Though what exactly this entails I dunno. Maybe primal life powers similar to the actual Erdtrees?

> result of the crucible/eldenring
That doesn't mean you can't replicate that.

*big speculation coming*
Miquella and Marika wanted to create a new Erdtree that would be free of the Beast/GWs control after realizing that the Golden Order was incapable of saving either Malenia from Rot or Godwyn from Death. The failure of the Haligtree due to Miquella being stolen by Mohg was the final straw for Marika and caused her to shatter the Ring, hence "the queen's sorrow was justified".

Blooming isn't the actual move dumbass, it's her letting go of her control over the rot and allowing it to take over her.

yeah you can safely ignore anyone that says anything about "erde", it's not even called erdtree in the original text

if it's not in english it isn't canon.

The other drake talismans are not legendary right?

An erdtree is any successfully grown spirit tree, that’s why there are Minor Erdtrees too. Miquella’s power seems to be similar or on par with the crucible, that’s one of the reasons Mohg needs him. The crucible = infinite life, and that seems to have been Miquella’s true power.

Haligdrake talisman
>Talisman depicting a golden ancient dragon.
>Boosts holy damage negation.
Lorefags explain it to me, why isn't it named Holy but Halig, we know there is only one Halig-tree here.

There's like a dozen of those minor ones though. How the fuck did an empyrean fail to grow a single one?

outside factors shitting it up. it wouldve worked it he got to nurture it undisturbed

Use google next time brainlet.
en.m.wiktionary.org/wiki/halig#Adjective

Halig is holy/sacred

But why was it so important that he was feeding it blood and giving it his own body to help it? He could've just used any of the other dozen trees.

what? halig means holy. its the same word.

The crucible is probably way more powerful than Miquella it’s literally the Tao from Taoism made into form. If you want to understand the lore better read Tao te Ching. It’s one of the many influences. Miyasaki literally just grafts theology to make all of his games.

Listen up fag, I don't care either way, in fact I think it would be cool if she wasn't a goddess yet and she was DLC bait.
But actually, I just realized something.
All of Malenia's armor is made out of unalloyed gold, so if it can resist rot it should have stayed on, while traveler's clothes are just cloth, so they should be destroyed in that case.
So this clothing shit doesn't make any sense.
I always assumed that the reason her prosthetics stay were they were made of unalloyed gold, as there are multiple item descriptions claiming scarlet rot affects metal.

I still don't know how you think you can get around the Goddess of Rot title, it's as clear as day, are you legit claiming it's just a big ass fakeout?

Then why didnt they use holy?
