user, wtf are you doing?
I have all these builds I wanna make, but I get tired of them by the end of this long-ass game. Frenzy is next up I think.
So wtf is exactly a shabriri grape?
Vaati says it’s a god?
have beaten the game 4 times on three different characters and got all achievements, there's still definitely places I missed because one of those was to see how fast I could blitz it on NG+ and I went mostly guideless even after first run
currently doing a meme build with Seppuku Poison Antspur and Fingerprint shield, it melts the fuck out of bosses. Radagon and EB were the hardest on a dedicated INT spellcasting character without fire spells/weapons
>there are people who actually don't turn into a dragon to inflict status effects
NGMI
eyeballs
I know but from who?
Shabriri
And who’s that
The most reviled man in history
Shabriri grapes are the eyes of people who have been touched by madness. I have no idea what a vaati is but Shabriri himself is the lord of chaos and embodiment of madness. You can meet him in game in many forms but the main one being the 3 fingers. I did the lord of chaos ending for my first playthru and thoroughly enjoyed it, best ending imo.
I'm playing INT and it is not easy mode, things are fucking aggro in this game, it's a challenge to get spells off, they don't just stand there and take it.
Yeah if there's any props I can give this game at all is that no playstyle is placed particularly above others until you start getting into the weapons tierlists and the like
>currently doing a meme build with Seppuku Poison Antspur
I was thinking about switching to a hoarfrost antspur/frost rapier powerstace build, kind tired of running around with katanas. How would you rate it on a scale of fun/10? I already tried out a dual longsword build and I hated it, I also hate STRfag builds so this is my last chance before I use katanas forever.
weird, int based caster was my easiest and fastest playthru so far and I've done one of those great shield/spear meme builds. I used carian slicer on my default spell slot and then listed my spells in order of usage. So whichever spells I'd use more often I'd have the closest to the default spell slot so I could access them easy. Killed malenia on my 4th attempt on the wizard and it was the first time I'd ever had to dodge her shit but I did so much damage it didn't matter I dumpstered that bitch.
Pic rel, my end game fit.
Just snipe everything from far away with glintstone pebble, until the input reading enemies appear in the second half of the game, then use the backstab one
>glintstone pebble
he's playing a wizard not a 10 int warrior who wants to single pull mobs, nigga should be sniping with canon of haima to 1 shot packs and the big bubble spell or the bow for single mobs.
I just beat malenia again in my 10th playthrough. She cheats hard.
>CAPTCHA nnr0t
I have been playing for 50 hours and using the Golden Halberd the whole time
Are there better weapons for strength+faith character?
I wish there was a version of the Banished Knight Armour with cape and no weird furry tunic covering
>still no "why can't I hold all these grapes" Hyetta meme
I wish there was a version with just the tabard and no cape.
I've come to accept that the tarnished is a harem protagonist
I want to run my thumb over those canines.
Did they nerfed EB or something?
I just finished my second run and I first try him. He just did sword swings and even got his guard down.
Have a dancing Ranni
Where do you get the bottom ones?
There is the Blasphemous Sword and the Golden Order Sword.
One you get from Rykard and the other is in the Weeping Peninsula
What's the connection between shabriri, yelough and the frenzied flame?
I DESIRE to HUG Rya, not FUG Rya!
What if Hyetta was your gf?
Reminded of this
elden ring sure sucks shit.
It's funny watching bosses throw out a ton of combo spam and just ignoring it thanks to Barricade then watching their health bar just disappear with stacked DoTs + bleed imo but unless you really enjoy the shield poke playstyle I could see it getting boring for some people, also you have to be on them at literally all times for the constant damage and some of the bigger attacks can still knock you off your feet
I heard they run around less.
There's definitely a number of enemies and bosses that absolutely devestate pure casters but you can't tell me with a straight face that you don't have it easier than melee players(or at least the ones who aren't playing dedicated bleed builds).
And comet azur is just a staight up skip button sometimes.
The bottom helmet can be gotten from the knight near the cathedral of dragon communion. The armor apparently can only be farmed from the 2 knights in castle sol that wear it, but I've ever only gotten it to drop from the infamous dual wielding one that teleports behind you.
Castle Sol in the Mountaintops of Giants. There’s a grace you can get about halfway through the level which can be used for farming.
There's only one way that could be better.
I'll give you a hint.

You mean the recently buffed Golden Order Greatsword? That one's in Consecrated Snowfields, in a cave right next to the most powerful magma wyrm.
Did you do Yura's quest? Not sure about Yelough, haven't finished the game. But between requirements for the ending and Yura's quest you get most of the information.
I got the armor from one of the 2 knights near the cathedral of dragon communion, along with the shield and helm
>Got all the achievments last night and get ready to go back and do DS1/2
>Start them both up and the movement just feels so fucking sluggish I can't be bothered
>Literally can only play Elden Ring for now
Bros im trapped playing this game eternally
You don't get the armors in the bottom of the image from them. The one with the tabard is the unaltered one that only drops from the dudes in castle sol. The altered one without a tabard, which is what you got, can drop from any banished knight wearing them, including the very first ones you see in Stormveil.

Oh, right, yeah, I'm fucking retarded
Were the merchants purged because they were worshiping frenzy, or did they start worshiping frenzy because they got purged?
>be playing STR/INT build
>55 STR, 50 INT
>+10 Fallingstar Beast Jaw, +25 Academy Staff
>Beast Jaw lightning does more damage than every single one of my spells, including a fully-charged Loretta's Mastery, for only a fraction of the mana, and with equivalent range or better range than any of the magic
>Only spell I end up using, besides Loretta's to draw out enemies from packs, is Night Maiden's Mist
What the fuck is up with the spell damage scaling in this game? Are they literally fucking useless until you get 80 INT? Am I just using the wrong staff? The wiki said that the Academy staff is best until you hit 68 INT (then you switch to Rennala's).
Yes, you must toot it. It may not be optimal, but it is by far the most entertaining.
The description of the Nomad ash says that they were buried because they spread frenzy, it implies that they were already worshipping the god before they were buried. When they got holocausted they got severely butthurt and summoned the actual god for real.
Merchants who escaped being locked up are still frenzy users so take a guess.
imagine if you got shrunken by some kind of sorcery and then she picked you up and thought you were a shabriri grape and then she ate you haha wouldn't that be pretty gross and crazy? lol what if she actually just swallowed you whole and then you had to get slowly digested alive inside her that'd be really gross lol. someone should draw that as a joke haha lol
Well there's a mod that does that actually. Even has a variant with no cape. Peak aesthetics especially if you use the other mod that adds back in the white hair on the unaltered helmet with the hood.
My biggest gripe with the various knight armors in the game is with the pauldrons that don't flare out. The coolest looking ones are Ordovis' and Siluria's because they flare out AND are well proportioned. Dung Eater's pauldrons are also rounded but they're placed further off of the body so it still has a nice muscular silhouette. The alternate Fire Prelate set without the red tabard also looks pretty grotesque, I like it.
What's the lore behind the bubble buddies?
>Vaati
Vaati is a talentless hack. Evidently more so than I expected, if he really said Shabiri grape is/from a god.
Anyone who says the Frenzy Flame isn't an outer god hasn't read Miquella's Needle.
I dunno, the horns have more or less the same item descriptions, but the ashes say they play their pipes to herald the arrival of a new god or age. Makes sense given that your quest is to change everything in a big way.
Source on the pic?
After much trial and tribulation, including people making sounds at him to which he never responded and subsequently he didn't understand, he beat things to death with his trusty club until he was made to sit in a chair.
He still doesn't really know what's going on. He just remembers getting stepped on by big hairy elephant and waking up in strange place.
people underestimate how strong QoL changes are
I booted up DS1 and aside from everything being in a tight space the enemies are so slow and don't delay attacks, it's crazy
I guess that's why they're also there to give you a super warm welcome at the top of the Haligtree. I also found it interesting that your route starts from the very top of the tree and you go all the way down to the roots where Miquella's husk is, giving the entire trip some parallels with an Erdtree Burial and how those creepy statues pointing to catacombs always say that you're "going back to the roots" (which is an euphemism for the Erdtree Burial, aka your corpse being physically assimilated by it).
It's comfy playing a game where the enemies don't unzip 20 hit anime combos whenever you get within 10 feet of them so you can actually deal damage back when you avoid their attacks.
Long ago there was naught but ancient stone dragons.
>cute blind woman wandering in a territory full of dangers
>didn't get gang-raped and murdered
