Leveling is extremely hard. Not because of difficulty, but because most bosses give you shit for runes.

EAC isn't running when you don't use the EAC launcher you retard

The way you do it is you launch the game without EAC, by renaming the eldenring.exe into the name of the EAC file, that way when you launch it via Steam, Steam just launches it through the name of the program instead of hwat it is. You cant go online like this, but if you go fully offline and launch it this way, then you can fuck about with your game as much as you want. Just don't add anything you cant actually get/multiples of, things you cant drop for other players, or an excessive amount of souls and the game doesnt catch you.

Because if you want to ever use any new weapons you acquire, if you want to keep yourself stocked on certain types of items, or if you want to make sure your inventory of weapons is leveled up so you actually can make use of any of them late-game, you need to farm runes to buy stones to level them.

If you want to respec and/or switch between many different weapons a lot, you'll eat through runes fast. Buying somber stones 1 through 9 and upgrading a weapon to +9 takes something like 150-200k.

Farming has always been part of a Souls game. Whether it's farming Titanites to upgrade weapons, farming Blood Vials so you don't run out, or just farming so you can get all of the gear/items you've acquired up to max level because if you don't there's literally no point in having them because you're stuck using just the one single weapon/armor you have actually put upgrades into all game and nothing else.

It's not about leveling, farming for leveling is really low on the list.

You can only get 1 and 2 stones off enemies, with some SUPER RARE examples of enemies dropping 3 and 4. Nothing else drops off enemies in the world, and even with max Item Discovery, it's still extremely rare and way the fuck more inefficient than just farming runes and buying them.

Why would you want to bother trying to farm inconvenient soldiers and shit for the chance at MAYBE getting a low-level upgrade stone, when you can just one-shot a whole hill full of passive albino frog dudes and buy a pile of them in 10 seconds?

Albinauric farm gives you something like 40-50k runes with a single swing of your sword, repeatable ad infinitum. Outside of exploits, it's impossible to beat in terms of returns.
