so it’s not where his actual face goes, it’s growing on the side of his body or something?

No, his head is sideways. You can see the nose in on the right under the hair parting.

I made a post on Radahn and I wanted to make one for Malenia, Text dump Miquella/Malenia relationship:

Radagon's Rings of Light
>One of the incantations of the Golden Order fundamentalists. A gift of gratitude to the young Miquella from his father, Radagon.
>Produces a golden ring of light and fires it across a wide area. Charging enhances range.
>And yet, the young Miquella abandoned fundamentalism, for it could do nothing to treat Malenia's accursed rot. This was the beginning of unalloyed gold.
The reason Miquella made Unalloyed gold is for his sister, he also seems to be moving away from the GO.

Miquella's Needle
>One of the unalloyed gold needles that Miquella crafted to ward away the meddling of outer gods.
Miquella basically invents outer-god Leukemia treatment for his sister

There are two statues of her and Miquella in the Haligtree as well that are very significant.
One details Marika and Miquella comforting a young Malenia with her arm cut off
Another details a grown Malenia comforting an upset Miquella
-Statues show she had eyes and legs earlier and her arm was the first to go. Her shitty condition could be a recent development

Malenia death dialogue
>O, dear Miquella...
>O, dearest Miquella, my brother...
>I'm sorry. I finally met my match...
OBSESSED

Lore on the Haligtree:

Haligtree is filled with Misbegotten literally praying/begging for forgiveness to Miquella statues in the aftermath of whatever happened there, and if you stealth by them you can literally here them whimpering or uttering words, some of them will not attack you even if they know you are there.
>The misbegotten are held to be a punishment for making contact with the Crucible, and from birth they are treated as slaves, or worse.
Misbegotten are humans that touched the crucible and as a result are now treated as slaves by the factions around the world. there are cocoons in the Haligtree as well, indicating denizens there are undergoing some sort of metamorphosis (mayube back into humans)

Haima Glintstone Crown
>Scholars of the Haima Conspectus sought the power to quell conflict, and to this end studied the sorceries of cannon fire and the gavel.
This is the description of the sorceror helmets in the haligtree right before Loretta. Haima are the pacifiist faction of the Raya Lucaria and didn't fit in there.

Royal Knight Helm/Armor/Greaves/Gauntlets
>Silver helm of Loretta, a knight who served Miquella's Haligtree.
>Loretta, once a royal Carian knight, went on a journey in search of a haven for Albinaurics, and determined that the Haligtree was their best chance for eventual salvation.
You can also see that 1st generation Albinauric wolf-riders and the 2nd generation albinaurics are in-tow to going to the Haligtree in Mountains. Albinaurics are actively being genocided by the omenkillers, which are a loosely part of the GO.

Sacred Crown Helm:
>Flanged iron cap adorned with a crown of unalloyed gold. Increases faith.
>Worn by foot soldiers sworn to the Haligtree.
>Who is it that Miquella shall bless, if not the low and the meek?
Unalloyed gold on all of the soldier's hemets

Explain Latenna's quest to me and the albinaurics as a whole, please.

Text dump on all the shit for Malenia:

Monuments:
>This marks Malenia's southward march The Blade of Miquella and her Cleanrot Knights Grant her wings never to be clipped
>Godrick the Golden, humiliated Having tasted defeat by the Blade of Miquella Now on his knees, begging for mercy
>The Battle of Aeonia Radahn and Malenia locked in stalemate Then, the scarlet rot blooms

Remembrance of the Rot Goddess
>Remembrance of Malenia, Goddess of Rot, hewn into the Erdtree.
>Miquella and Malenia are both the children of a single god. As such they are both Empyreans, but suffered afflictions from birth. One was cursed with eternal childhood, and the other harbored rot within.
Miquella and Malenia are cursed from birth and Empyreans.

Malenia's Great Rune
>A Great Rune of the shardbearer Malenia. The blessing of this half-rotted rune reduces the healing power of Flask of Crimson Tears.
>And yet, due to the infusion of Malenia's spirit of resistance, attacks made immediately after receiving damage will partially recover HP.
>Malenia is daughter to Queen Marika and Radagon, and her Great Rune should have been the most sacred of all.

Malenia's Helm/Armor/Greaves/Gauntlets:
>Winged helm made of unalloyed gold. Worn by Malenia, Blade of Miquella.
>Malenia awaited Miquella at the foot of the husk.
."My brother will keep his promise. He possesses the wisdom, the allure, of a god—he is the most fearsome Empyrean of all."

Hand of Malenia
>Blade built into Malenia's prosthetic arm. Through consecration it is resistant to rot.
>Malenia's war prosthesis symbolized her victories. Some claim to have seen wings when the weapon was raised aloft; wings of fierce determination that have never known defeat.

Scarlet Aeonia
>Technique of Malenia, the Goddess of Rot.
>Each time the scarlet flower blooms, Malenia's rot advances. It has bloomed twice already. With the third bloom, she will become a true goddess.

Attached: 1649810417288.jpg (934x1200, 1.02M)

Prosthesis-Wearer Heirloom [1070]
>A talisman engraved with a scene from a heroic tale. Raises dexterity.
>Though born into the accursed rot, when the young girl encountered her mentor and his flowing blade, she gained wings of unparalleled strength.

Winged Sword Insignia
>A talisman depicting a raised prosthetic blade. An honor bestowed upon the knights who fought alongside Malenia the Severed.
>The wings symbolize Malenia and her undefeated prowess. Though she never knew relief from the accursed rot she was born into, her blade was forever beautiful—and relentless.

Cleanrot Helm/Armor/Gauntlets/Greaves
>Winged helm of the Cleanrot Knights, celebrated for their undefeated campaign in the Shattering.
>The Cleanrot Knights vowed to fight alongside Malenia, despite the inevitable, if gradual, putrefaction of their flesh. Their acceptance of their fate made these battles the fiercest of all.

Cleanrot Knight Finlay
>Legendary ashen remains. Use to summon the spirit of the Cleanrot Knight Finlay.
>Finlay was one of the few survivors of the Battle of Aeonia, who in an unimaginable act of heroism carried the slumbering demigod Malenia all the way back to the Haligtree. She managed the feat alone, fending off all manner of foes along the way.
Note the "vowed" part from previous text.

Dialogue from npcs:

Kenneth:
>Then he insulted Malenia, lost to her in battle, only to lick her boots rather than die like a man.

Millicent:
>There is something I must return to Malenia.
>The will that was once her own.
>The dignity, the sense of self, that allowed her to resist the call of the scarlet rot.
>The pride she abandoned, to meet Radahn's measure.

Gowry:
>Queen Marika and her King Consort Radagon were blessed with twin demigods, and Malenia was one of them.
>She was born an Empyrean, carrying the scarlet rot.
>An Empyrean...is no mere demigod.

>Millicent...
>Malenia...
>Do you detest us, so utterly?

Albis are synthetic beings with their flaws
Gen 1 like Latenna have bad legs and gen 2 are frog
Miquella loves fucked up things and let people go to the haligtree to live happily ever after

Spoonfeeding posts:

The haligtree is basically a giant pacifist "REFUGEES WELCOME!" area in the lands between and Miquella is ER-Jesus, they also have some weird anti-outer god unalloyed gold theme going on seeing as they're making a new erdtree and have unalloyed gold on everyone, but I am not going to get into that.
Knowing Miquella's desires to help his sister and all the statues in the Haligtree, as well as the Cleanrot's knights almost self-destructive devotion to her. Malenia is like the local cancer patient of the Haligtree and probably has a sort of "cult of pity" surrounding her there.

The Haligtree is dying specficially because Miquella is gone per Gideon, but Malenia's presence, bloom or no, is causing it to rot, and it's basically already dead.
Cut-content had weird voicelines where you save Miquella with a friendly-Malenia, then Miquella starts to make an entire new haligtree, but that shit ain't canon.

Malenia is a burden on everyone and everything around her, she passively radiates aids and can't do anything about it. Malenia is actively resisting the rot her entire life since birth, she "studies the blade heh..." as a way to be useful to Miquella, where she gets these metaphoric kind of self-fellating "wings" that have "Never known defeat.. heh."
Malenia also sounds subservient to Miquella as she is his "Younger sister" in the jap text, refers to herself as "the blade of Miquella" and earnestly believes he is "fiercer" than her.

She trains with a blind master with a flowing-blade, who is supposedly the same dude who imprisoned the rot god. The rot god has big cultist group stalking Malenia, specifically Marais, Gowry, the children of rot prawns and a bunch of lore ghost cultitsts that observed her in Caelid, but that's for a different discussion.
Gowry says she detests this faction and wants them to fuck off.

Malenia is going south specifically to enter Caelid, attacks Godrick to get over the bridge, but doesn't kill him or take his shit when he begs for mercy, there is no indication she attacked anyone else. When she touches down in Caelid and can't outright beat Radahn she sacrifices everything she stands for "Dignity, sense of self" and then blooms on Radahn to "beat" him.
It is unclear if she knew it would be a nuke or if she even knows what happened at all as she might have been in a coma the entire time after she was carried home by Finlay. Radahn being the "mightiest demi-god" I think if the fight continued she would have lost.

It really doesn't make any sense for Malenia, the steward/defender of this sort of obnoxious liberal-arts college to trek to the opposite side of the world and fight Radahn, then doing something supposedly very uncharacteristic of her like blooming by giving into the rot, if there isn't some sort of sensible underlining reason to do so.
Knowing all her lore, the whole "she beats Radahn up for his lunch money" headcanon, when she didn't take Godrick's Great rune, is pretty retarded.

It's unclear why Malenia was going to Caelid, whether it was to rescue Miquella or simply to invade and murder Radahn specifically.
The Haligtree seems to think Miquella is coming back, but with all his soul-transference tree/(non-canon) St. trina dream shit it's very confusing to make sense of where Miquella's soul really is. Either way,
Malenia believes him to be the "fiercest empyrean of all" and is waiting for him, so I think the Haligtree believes Miquella is probably going to save them instead of vice versa.
Also, I 99% sure she bloomed in the hallway somehow, that being her second bloom. The Aeonia spell also tells us she is a "Goddess of Rot" right before it mentions the 2/3 bloom.

Much appreciated

Albinaurics are shat on by near everyone for the crime of being artificial lifeforms, with the first generation of them being humanlike but losing the ability to use their legs as they grow older, and the second generation having frogheads and working legs, but are left mute by the loss of their tongues.
Miquella offered them a safe haven by way of the Haligtree, which the Albinaurics in the village were holding half the medallion needed to go to by way of the lift.
Gideon knowing this has them massacred, and hunts down Latenna to get his hands on it, but is foiled by Albus, and decides to just let you make the journey after you kill Ensha in his murder attempt

>meet Albus for the first half medallion
>meet Latenna for her spirit summon
>get second half medallion for access to the snowfield
>meet big bertha in the church, summon Latenna there

this but unironically

>Haima are the pacifiist faction of the Raya Lucaria and didn't fit in there.
I think you've jumped to the wrong conclusion here. The Haima crowns are worn by battlemages, and their set reads,
>Whenever war broke out and the academy sealed its gates, only Haima's scholars dared venture outside. Seclusion is no way to foster discovery; it is only a convenient form of escape.
It says they sought the power to quell conflict (as in end it), and to that end studied sorceries of cannon fire (war instruments) and the gavel (literally smacking dudes with a hammer). They aren't pacifists, they're warrior-mages who specialise in combat sorceries.

carry a crippled girl across the world so she can impregnate a sleeping giantess

>meet big bertha in the church, summon Latenna there
That's what I don't get. Who is she and what does doing that have to do with anything and why did we do that and what did it accomplish?

Ah I missed that, you're right.

she big

>that hand bracelet
How does that make sense?

Somehow it seems like she’s able to birth more albinaurics, by what Latenna says to her

Was the Omenkiller there under Gideon's Orders? Do Omenkillers just kill graceless creatures in general?

Latenna gives her the Birthing Droplet (that's what she went back to Liurnia for) which implies big betty can now give birth and they can be a real race that procreates rather than Frankennalastein's monsters.

Yes
You can even find Omenkillers in Rykard's Albinauric torture rooms

>It's unclear why Malenia was going to Caelid, whether it was to rescue Miquella
But when we find her she's just sitting around, waiting for Miquella to come back. That doesn't mesh well with her going to war to save him.

I agree, but it's possible she failed to get him and is just coping he might be able to get back himself.
I personally think she went there just to kill Radahn, but a lot of shit is unclear.

Ah, I totally forgot about that connection
thanks user
Which leaves me wondering- why did Rykard nurse such an interest in the Albinaurics? Was he trying to apprehend the secrets of life beyond Grace or was he just interested in the whole rebirth thing and how that relates to the Undying Serpent?

Infinite food supply

It should be mentioned that in concept art, the Haligtree was on an island to the south of Liurnia/west of Limgrave, so during the Shattering she obviously goes to those kingdoms as they are closest. They shuffled locations around in the game but kept that narrative.

big if true

Or he could just be an asshole, with Albinaurics being the easiest acceptable target for his fetish, that's the only thing that would explain why the hell black dumplings and the Albinauric Mask exists
