Is getting a 3DS worth it? I only really care for the Ace Attorney/Professor Layton games and the Korg music software. Outside emulators what kind of homebrew does it offer?

What's everyone been playing? Last few months I played Attack of the Friday monsters, SMTIV and Miles Edgworth Investigations 1. Attack of the Friday monsters was worse than expected but still comfy and enjoyable

Very little gameplay - there's just a mini game card game you have to play. If you're not sold on the atmosphere and humour it's probably not for you

Yes. You can softmod to install the entire 3ds library of games. It has TwilightMenu for DS games. It has native hardware to do GBA virtualization which you can inject games into.
Native GB emulation with injection. NES-SNES.
Homebrew emulators can do Genesis and PSX. PSX is not recommended.

Very important one though. N3DS GBA homebrew emulator is one of the only ways to play Warioware Twisted

I have a perfectly working New 3DS I bought directly from Nintendo a few years ago but I didn't use it much until I hacked it recently
Now I kinda want to pick up a 2DS XL as a backup and for the bigger screen since prices seem to be spiraling out of control pretty quickly

Does it actually use tilt properly? I thought you had to use the circle pad to tilt in the inject

Are there any good DLCs for games that are worth getting before the shop shuts down? I think the only one I have is the DLC for Fantasy Life

3ds is one of my favorite systems, nintendo is gay for abandoning the platform, emulation will obviously always be a thing but it will never play as well as it did on 3ds because of the nature of the platform.

Help me out, 3DSbros. Whenever I try the "Create Restore Point" option of the Retroarch bottom screen I get a crash. I'm sure it's related to the overwriting of the save state thumbnail but if I deactivate it, the bottom screen looks incomplete.

You should just hack your 3DS and grab whatever you want from hshop because that isn't going anywhere any time soon.
If you really want to keep your 3DS stock, I'd grab the AA 5 and 6 DLC cases at least because those are both quite good, then maybe grab Shovel Knight DLC, as much DLC for the Monster Hunter games as you think you might want, Mario Golf World Tour has soon good DLC

PlayStation, Mega Drive and NES mostly. Is it that bad? So far the only issue I had was with a Jurassic Park game that crashed on the second level.
