What would you like to see for PS5/Xbox/Switch/PC?
Sega is interested in remakes, reboots, and remasters of their old IPs after major recent successes
The monkey ball remake sucked ass so I dont have any faith in them.
Skies of Arcadia HD
stop, i don't want another sakura wars
oh boy more remakes
>sakura wars revival sucked ass
>monkey ball revival sucked ass
I dont want fucking remakes or remasters just port the games to steam where they can be easily accessible forever
New Phantasy Star, it’s time
Skies of Arcadia remaster
Billy Hatcher remaster
Literally anything with the Shining series
New Shinobi game
More ports of Saturn and Dreamcast games and less Genesis ones
Came here to say this
I want new assets though
sakura wars ps4 was actually good. the mobile game sucked major dick though.
I can't see them botching up a port of their Virtual-On collection, its already on the PS4, just put it to PC and other consoles.
Virtual On please
I hope Soul Hackers 2 goes well
Fix the fucking random battle proportion and you have a 10/10 JRPG
Reboot the Dreamcast.
Bring Sonic Battle to Steam with online multiplayer
I had a dream once that House of the Dead was rebooted to be sort of like Resident Evil 7
I support a new shinobi, the 3ds one was really good
>after major recent successes
Um? What major success? Sonic Forces?
i take it Sakura Wars is not available . . .
*except Shining force
I would like Galaxy Force 3, and fucking go all out have a super over the top anime hot blooded storyline with ultra fast combat like the OG
Shining Force
Sonic 2 movie printed them a bunch of movie. SMTV sold over a million being a Switch exclusive and the highest in the series. Persona 4 Golden sold over a million on Steam. Phantasy Star prints them a boatload of money in both NA/JP due to gacha and being on basically every platform Consoles/Windows/and now Linux. Total War and Football Manager are one of their highest grossing games on Steam. Yakuza was really successful on Gamepass and they are looking to partner more with Microsoft in the future. Their HD game sector is improving it's funding and staffing recently. Overall it's good time for Sega.
>bunch of movie
Bunch of money*
anything i would want would end up being remade and look like trash like
Sakura Wars is in the IP screenshot. There's too many to list so they say "etc".
Would be cool if Guardian Heroes returned
Don't care about remakes, I just want Sonic Breath of the Hedgehog to be good.
Bump
It's about time they port the ps4 sakura wars to pc
Only if they fix the translation.
>major success
Uhh
Valkyria Chronicles 3 Remake

I want good remasters of sa1 and 2. I'm not even going to bother wanting remakes. The current ports aren't any good unless you mod them extensively.
Streets of Rage by the Yakuza team would be kinda cool.
Another Shinobi game would also be great, but even though I like the PS2 one, my favorite was Shinobi 3 on Genesis. I want stupidly cool shit like dive kicks on horse and contextual melee.
don't worry, the fact the revival and the hail mary gacha game both failed mean that's deader than dead.
Virtual-On Oratorio Tangram and Virtua Cop with one of those LCD-compatible light guns.
>Streets of Rage by the Yakuza team would be kinda cool.
don't a french studio have the IP now? or was that just a loaner?
>What would you like to see for PS5/Xbox/Switch/PC?
AWAKEN
Only IP I care about is Sonic
Condemned, but I don't think sega owns that anymore.
Nah, Sega still owns it. They just licensed it out when the people who made 4 approached with a pitch.
Ecco the Dolphin, Alien Syndrome, Growlanser, Conduit, Virtual On, Golden Axe, Landstalker, Space Harrier, Thunderforce, Gunstar Heroes
>A traditional Phantasy Star like the Master System and Genesis games, Online is its own beast now
>Space Channel 5, the VR game was really fun mechanically but felt like a 30 minute proof of concept
>Let Mizuguchi do the third game in his Rez Trilogy. That bonus stage in Infinite was the best part of it and an entire game designed like that could be his best work to date.
>Panzer Dragoon, you could literally just bring Saga to modern platforms since that games a pain in the ass to play these days.
>It's technically not a dead series but Puyo Puyo is really due for another makeover. I'm sick of Tetris crossovers using 7's look and mission structure, the series has been coasting for years now.
It's really funny that the coolest revivals they've had the past gen are Streets of Rage and Wonder Boy when they had so little faith in those projects they outsourced them to other publishers. Everything they're doing in-house like Sakura Wars is a mess.
Getting 2 finally ported to PC would be just good enough.
Phantasy Star JRPG would be amazing if they got Atlus on board.
RISE FROM YOUR GRAVE
WELCOME TO YOUR DOOM
>the 2005 remake performed so bad it didn't even get ported to the US despite having an english version because it released in pal
How about "SEGA is interested in making consoles again"?
god no, never gonna happen. Making consoles is a suckers game, for much the same reason hotel companies got out of actually owning hotels. Too much overhead.
Even today, Nintendo is the ONLY one to turn a profit, and ONLY because they utilize older technology with a solid supply line. This, combined with whatever toyetic gimmick they're using, and their in house IP/reputation lets them sell at a profit.
For Sony and MS, their consoles are essentially loss leads, they lose tons of money on the manufacture and try to make it up in subscriptions, software, and platform deals
RIP
No market for it, there's barely a market for xbox anymore. Consoles are going to be relegated to dude bros playing their sports games and Call of Duty, with Playstation being the main console and Xbox being more of an all in one service that also has consoles, and Nintendo with their digital babysitting device. What could another console off at this point?
Lmao this, if Sakura Wars and Soul Hackers are any indication of how they are going to approach these future "revivals", I would recommend to give up any hope already.
Like I said. When is SEGA going to be interested in making console again? You've just mentioned it wouldn't be financially viable if they tried competing with Sony and Microsoft at their game, but showed how Nintendo literally wins by not caring and still turning a profit. Im willing to bet that a lot of people would be just fine with Switch level visuals at the most if SEGA made a new console. There was literally a thread here yesterday where the majority of people said graphics were "good enough" during the Wii/360 era as well as the height of 6th gen regarding 3D visuals.
Will this happen? No. Do I want this to happen? Yes. Would I buy a new SEGA console with graphics "only" as good as the Xbox 360? Absolutely. They'd probably find a way to give Nintendo a run for their money with their own "gimmick" which everyone seems to think is a bad thing. Just stick with Sony and Microsoft since they wouldnt be going away anyway.
Sega lacks the hard hitting first parties that garuntee sales like Nintendo has, it'd be a huge investment into R&D and supply chain. It wouldn't be a good idea. Plus Japanese business is notoriously conservative.
What is the Valkyria Chronicles team even doing right now? Them remaking Skies of Arcadia would be the ideal thought process.
Can you even get Atlus to release their shit on PC properly? We don't have Persona 5 Royal for PC yet and things like Catherine Full Body were never made because of stupid rationale like "Oh, they won't buy Catherine Classic after knowing there is a better version of the game with more content...clearly they just dont like the game at all we shouldn't port it!". Also, acquire as much Vanillaware shit as possible and release it on PC, possibly with updates. 13 Sentinels Aegis Rim just showed up on Switch, but lets bring it to PC. Muramasa Rebirth and Dragon's Crown Pro could both use an updated version to come to PC!
Aside from that, some older titles from Sega, others have already touched on things like the Shining series, Skies of Arkadia remake, and more, but how about some Valkyria Chronicles? VC4 was a great game but it didn't sell well enough because you put a goddamn 4 on the box when 2 and 3 weren't available on any modern system. If they had called it "Valkyria Chronicles: Federation Front" it would have sold a fuckload more and confirm it happens contemporaneously to VC1. Also I would like to see full remakes/updates for VC2 and VC3 Extra Edition. Much like how Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker and Assassin's Creed Liberation got remade versions with not just graphics but QoL updates, released on modern full consoles on PC, VC2/VC3EE need that. They were held back by the PSP platform in some ways and the latter never even came out in the West. Remake them both for PC and perhaps modern consoles, make sure that they have QOL fixes and all sorts of improvements, JP audio option, all the DLC present in the PSP releases + more, and they'll be very likely to sell quite well indeed.
>[franchise] gets a remake
ignore the remake, choosing not to buy it
>"Wow [franchise] is dead in the water, let's never touch it again ever!"
buy and support the remake
>"Wow remakes are selling like hotcakes, let's remake all our other franchises too!"
No one gives a shit about pc gaming other than trannies in their cuckshed jerking off to Blacked
Now this is a take I don't have issues with. As much as I'd like to think Crazy Taxi, Outrun, NiGHTS, Sonic, Skies of Arcadia, Jet Set and Yakuza are big hitting names, they likely aren't enough to sell their console on name alone. Do I think that SEGA, if they made their own console this knowing the ins and outs of what it's capable of, would advertise the shit out of these games and find a way to MAKE them big hitters through whatever game mechanics or "gimmick" they'd sell the console on, though? Yes I absolutely do, but even that wouldn't be enough because SEGA also thrived on 3rd party offerings, especially the sports, fighters, shmups, RPGs, and "unique" third party games. Unless developers want to optimize their game for 4 different consoles (5 if you're counting the PC) and spend that much more R&D and time to do it, SEGA would have a huge problem even if they managed to somehow get their 1st party games to as high as they'd ever been. Still want them to make a console, but that was a great issue to bring up.
Official Chunithm or Ongeki on PC.
Old games are better than new ones.
I'd still rather them kamakazi with a new console than a near $1 billion "Super Game Initiative"
Typical mentally ill consoloid cuck tipping his hand by immediately jumping to exclamations of black cock and trannies
