I use Linux daily but I keep a Windows install to play games because Linux sucks at new release games. I tried to play Persona 4 Golden, which had a very popular Steam release, and it crashed in Proton. I know it's not Linux' fault, but it doesn't matter whose fault it is. The games don't work either way, so I use Windows for games.

ID Software was extremely based for making ID Tech 3 work on Linux, which allowed Splash Damage to make Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory work on Linux as well. Had a lot of fun times in that game with my Windows friends.
other games that I could play were mostly some simple open source games or whatever few games WINE could run at that time

also i dont want to lose performance in games and I like hardware acceleration on my browser.

That's why I use Windows. Hardware past 2010 have backdoors inside. Why bother installing linux? Unless if you run on Russian chips or RISC V CPU.

I did 4 years ago and haven't looked back. I've learned significantly more about computers in general and know how things work much more than I would had I stayed. It's fun to be able to configure stuff granularly, and helping others learn is enjoyable for me
