They only won WW2 because the US supplied and paid for everything and they still lost over 10 million guys.
When it comes to actually projecting power they suck and only had a good run for 40 years or so after the war because the US inadvertently built them into a modern nation.
Russia today has no more military might than a place like Brazil or Poland and is completely outclassed by the likes of the US and China, which are the two real superpowers.
