Remember the cool and exciting cutscenes games used to show you before you even got to see the game's main menu back in the day? Devs would try to hook you in with nice visuals and music while setting the game's tone and introducing you to its world and characters -- all before you touched your controller. Years ago, you'd see them in arcades and on the TV displays of game stores all the time. It's a bit of a lost art these days, but I've always loved cinematic intros and I miss them in my vidya.
Post some kino videogame intros, Yea Forums. Like so:
I realize you can't start off every Game Intro thread the same way but it's been almost 3 decades and Soul Edge/Blade is still the undisputed king youtube.com/watch?v=j5AnA4PpCpw

youtube.com/watch?v=lpZ-BWwQwJI I remember a friend showing me this one as a teen, it was amazing. I haven't seen it since then so I'm posting it here before I watch it again, I will report back if it holds up.
talim is, has, and will always be my one true waifu, I've been hooked since SC2 came out. I literally only buy those games for her. I wasn't going to get SC6 when it was rumored she wasn't going to be in it. I skipped 5 for this reason
It's fucking impressive how they managed to make it feel so fucking good and epic fuck the internet for ruining that word even to this day despite the characters model looking like uncanny plastic dolls.
despite its flaws i still fucking love tenchu z to death and miss the shit out of fucking around on coop with my friends, I'm actually half tempted sometimes to find a cheap used 360 just so I can play it again.
I remember the intro scaring my brother out of playing the game for a while when we first got this. The dogs are certainly a lot more intense than the goofball live action intro from the original game.
