Sorry comrade, I beat the game on Tuesday

I started a fresh run
NG+ doesn't really have a good feel to it

I'm up to that swamp dragon
Hard

watchdog is soulful

I'm getting slower and slower the closer I get to the end of the game, partly because I don't want it to end, and partly cause areas like the Subterranean Shunning Grounds put me in such a bad mood that I can only play for a little while at a time.

I just beat Elden Ring yesterday, I was very excited for playing through it again in new game+ but already being so powerful kind of took me out of it. Decided to start over fresh as a fai/int character and the limitations made it fun again thankfully.

NG+ is utterly pointless right now, I'm waiting for DLC before I even bother. I've already platinumed the game so there is really no point making the game any harder. You can already grind like 50M souls per hour at Mohgwyn.

Watching my friends try to just play co-op and fight the ruin sentinal, keeps getting invaded by people with end game weapons that cause madness, rot, poison and frost. Do you think these people are so desperate for a win against another human that they resort to dunking on new players this way?

Holy fuck, E N O U G H

Invasion should be removed from the game entirely.

>>start NG+
Immediately start my quest to create my puppet of the LOATHSOME DUNG EATER

Multiplayer is fucked on all sides, luckily a co-op mod is coming that will fix this garbage fromsoft copypasted from dark souls 3

Remember: aggro Big Bog after he moves to Leyndell; Poopoo man will still invade, and you can get the Pope to forgive you after
Allegedly.

The Dragon sentinel at capital outskirts?

As much as summoning and invading is a classic staple of this series, I wish there was a way for consistent coop, especially in an open world game where people want to explore and discover everything.

>play ng+
>summon my nepheli puppet + nepheli herself for godrick

200 hours in and I just reached Haligtree. Fuck this place.

Or you can just never buy prawns from Bog when he's in Liurnia, then he'll never move to Leyndell in the first place.

lmao 2neph!!!

Just run through everything. Remember that the crystal bitches are weak to bludgeon damage.

Just finished mine. I decided to go for a new build this time. Have played most of these games as quality or high str/end builds so I went full autism INT this time. Had a really rough time up front but by the time I finished Raya Lucaria I was starting to feel it. Most end game bosses were under 10 attempts? But some had me sweatin. Maliketh and Radagon in particular both put me through the wringer. I hadn't found the Blasphemous Claw though (first playthrough always full blind until I see credits) so I couldn't gimmick the Blade of Death attacks.

What sorta build did you run my dude?

gotta give yourself a break its called burnout i recently came back and im having fun again

Bro putting FIVE revenants in the lower gardens area is fucking rude out of ten. I got so tilted at those fuckers. Great shield HaligKnights aren't a Cakewalk either

Is newgame+ a lot like DS2 or is it just the same shit all over?

Not him but I re-spec to match the blasphemous blade in my ng+. It's too easy now.

Just beat the game. Blind. Who the FUCK is Big Bog

I've been using a flail, so that is not a problem. All the doot snipers were pissing me off, though. I finally stripped naked and sanic'd through to the second bonfire.

The only thing I can think of to balance invasions is to remove trading entirely and make matchmaking game file time based. Can only match with people whose game files are -/+ 5 hours of your save file time. This should eliminate most twinks.

the very first boss on the horse, seen people invade with r/elden ring.

Me best mate, and the best man at my upcoming marriage to Rya

the prawn shop guy hanging out at the prawn shack in Lirunia.

Just the regular flail?

Tree Sentinel, there are no ruins sentinels, just draconics and tree variants.

I haven't tried it. Maliketh phase 1 was easy but phase 2 was crazy for me. Like no time to cast spells. Radagon the same thing. He just doesn't stop. I eventually had to go Carian Slicer and melee like a peasant. Which was kinda lame. He was the only boss that really felt like "this is 100% going to be the same vibe as if you were just str or dex". Every other boss (save Rykard I guess) was like "ah yes, I can tell I'm playing an int build because my spacing and how I exploit openings are different"

>I finally stripped naked and sanic'd through to the second bonfire.

This is ironically the only viable strat throughout Haligtree, especially from the prayer room bonfire to the next bonfire.

Just got to Mountain of Giants, have ~400hrs, best sword

Nightrider flail.

Wait the dude who told me to fuck off and get lost and who I promptly forgot about once I got to the top of the plateau FUCK

Totally forgot this dude existed. How do you get him to actually talk to you? He spammed me with the same brief "fuck off" dialog the one time I was down there.

they tried that with soul memory and in dark souls 3 they had invasions tied to weapon levels. Game time invasions probably wouldn't fix things because if the game is beatable within 30 minutes via speedrunning, i'm sure players can get their weapons and equipment within an hour then just bully people who might have spent hours trying to beat a boss

I used that for the fiirst half of the game, cold infused w/ wild strikes

I stopped playing for a bit after I wasted radahn in 2 minutes flat in ng+.

have to talk to him during Rya's quest. she's in a gazebo not far from his shack to the south-east

Nice

It is the easiest. I fought my way through the first time, but first time I just sprinted my eyes were opened and I never fought those mooks again

I miss covenants so much bros. They added so much flavor to the world, even the memes and petty rivalries were so good.

There's a girl named Rya hanging around the same general area that asks you to "kill" him to get her pendant back, you can just buy it off him instead and that'll open up his shop to you.

Just make invasions seperate from co-op with an opt in, but higher rewards.

Mine is keen with frosty stomps. I infuse with lightning for bosses or big enemies.

how much faster is the pizza cutter? im finally going to make a colossal weapon build and that's probably what i'll use

I'm disappointed they never tried to refine Gravelords.

Did you ever feel like you are playing because you enjoy the misery? Do you ever felt like the off screen projectile spam in so many locations is a bad design choice?

You should know that the pizza cutter is basically a quality weapon, scales similarly with str and dex

Wow that is one butt ugly piece of shit

its pretty ebin as a horseback weapon

Made a 2nd character and at Haligtree but now contemplating life and feel unsatisfied with life for some reason.

So If I have this all right...:

Marika married Radragon and had three sets of three kids, The M's (Miquella Malenia Malkieth Morgott), The G's (Godfrey Godwyn Godrick) and the R's, (Radagon, Radahn, Ranni, Rykard). Each of them took a third of the ring when the shards broke, and split, so the Golden lineage had one, The redmanes had one, and then the Caria academy had one because of Ranni who gave it to her mother. And then a war broke out between the shardbearers, so Renalla fought Radahn, then married him as a ceasefire so he could go on to study gravity magics under the academy. then he broke up with her to go learn holy incantations under melania but instead fought her and got the scarlet rot and was forced to retreat back where he ended up infecting all of caelid and sealed himself, meanwhile ranni gave up her rune to die and become a doll, so the unbirthing rune lost its potency as a great archring. Then the third ring which margit held was used to close the erdtree while he tested the player through his omens to test his worth from tarnished to lord after getting to lindell then sends them to the giant mountaintop where the death flame that killed godfrey is then used to burn the tree open, then you fight his ghost, fix the elden ring, and then fight marika's ethreal slug form which is actually a bloodborne style old one?

It's the second easiest from game after Ds2. Once you learn the curve it's an easy game.

I got to Mountaintops on my first character, a Vagabond-turned-Dex/ARC bleeder. Then I wound up making a brand-new Confessor and playing him instead as Dex/Faith. I was originally really dissatisfied with the game because I felt like I had to rush the main story and didn't want to waste my time on shit, but now that I know most of what lies ahead for me, I'm able to take my time and move as slow as I want with the game. It's pretty cozy, picking at every questline I can and exploring the world on foot.

I'll admit, I dupe/transfer items from older saves to my new ones, but even then it's mostly just armour for the fashion, and maybe one or two standard weapons that I want to be able to use without going to Altus first, like the Twinned Knight Sword. Everyone else I see either rushed the game to get X weapon before Margit, or did the same trick I use to give themselves RoB and the bleed fork. I don't really feel bad about cheesing them with Frenzied Burst and phantoms any more.

>No more five-invader kino after Pontiff
>No more Darkwraith, Dark Spirit, Dragonbro, Aldritch Faithful, and Mad Spirit GANG VS Host & Phantoms brawls
>Blues even get fucked over more than usual in Elden Ring
Damn shame.

I would recommend you to use the Ruins GS, it's very fun to use and you can stagger enemies for days.

It's not even really that good either.

yeah she gave birth to a dog

are you high?

Lmaoooo Radahn was ok for me because Rock Sling had such good range. He hits like a truck though and the tracking on the arrows is fucking brutal

Indeed. It shreds any boss that lets you use the horse. I took out Full Grown Fallingstar Beast on the first attempt.

I think invasions should be 100% removed from the game and pvp should be relegated to only 1v1 redsign duels and a pvp colosseum minigame. Both obviously strictly opt-in and consensual.

Whaaaaat I met Rya at Volcano Manor. She's like a younger sister. Great character. Just wants to do Good

You just have to know when to use torrent and when to use your ashes of War

Any tips for someone starting? What beginner mistakes should I avoid?

Lmao this is good shit post pasta

Huge pain in the ass that guy was but I also try to do the whole game underleveled with low weapon levels. Going to try to finished at +6 sombers/+15 regular hope it doesn't get too bulletspongy later.

Going straight for the bosses without exploring and leveling up is a bad idea

You are retarded

I finished all the achievos except for collecting the weapons/spells/ashes. I realized I missed the giant spear and for that one I'd need to do a NG+ because it's not available in the ashen capital... I dunno if I'm able to do it, though.
I'd love to fuck around with a twink PvP with end game weapons but I don't have a friend who could mule me my weapons. And it's too soon to try to go over everything and staying at less than lvl 20.

Honestly the only boss you should use torrent on is radahn until he stops spazzing out so you can get on your feet. It's always better to fight bosses off your horse

i'm in the endgame with my level 1 colossal sword playthrough, I have paths to loretta/malenia, mohg, and maliketh all open but I'm going to do lichdragon first.
lion's claw is so fucking good it's unreal

Attached: 1650463515158.gif (914x1091, 30.43K)

The Mohgwyn spear did something I didn't think would be possible in ER for me. Make horse combat fun

I've never been invaded when I play solo, never. If I play coop, yeah, some people might do it but it's always 2-3 vs 1 invader so I don't understand why this is a problem anyway.

Just did Giants' Mountaintop Catacombs and that was cancer. After walking through the boss door and seeing tree spirit faggot I said fuck it and took out mimic, oneshot it and went to sleep.

Hmm yeah I don't pvp

Nah. Twirling a flail in their assholes is fun as fuck.

Those guys are easy. Just don't get get barfed on

so, how's the latest patch?
did they finally fix the stuttering?

Attached: 1625116004065.gif (520x493, 28.49K)

GUYS MALENIA IS BROKEN AS OF 1.04

SHE HEALS ON EVERY ATTACK NOW. IT DOES NOT NEED TO CONNECT. I REPEAT. IT DOES NOT NEED TO CONNECT.

Attached: 1516421286439.jpg (720x958, 51.06K)

Not having covenants in ER is such a waste of potential, it would've meshed with the open world so well

No I was saying not to use torrent (your mount) on bosses

It's more of a distraction, really. There's no reward unless you're a psychopath. There would be a nice framework for the PvP but as such because it's not ordered or organised there's not that many reasons to play.

You need to use a furl finger and the tongue to get invaded solo.

As slow as any other colossal. The recovery on the skill is also pretty bad since you can't cancel it by rolling

>morgott was a dexfag
explains so much

They should totally do like an arena thing with different vs categories

Oh I totally used Torrent though no ashes on him? The ashes were really fun actually. I feel like I was using them all the time just cuz I kept finding new ones. They all had pretty different behaviors. Loved how varied they got and how I couldn't predict which ones would really be good. The marionette archers are fucking savage. Imps are fun too. Engvall is buff but way too passive. Same with Lhutle. I don't even think Lhutle can die. Way too tanky on top of the dodge. Tiche is fuckin grease mode. I swear she could solo some bosses.

Just use a rivers of blood build and she dies on her own. It only takes few tries because it's a gamble but if you are lucky you can pin her down and her blade dance doesn't trigger. Of course by doing this you didn't beat the game but who cares.

And I was saying twirling your flail on horse back is fun.
