No, he did not and I know this with certainty since I am the fucker. Every stream in 2021 was on Cytube via Youtube host. I did not stream on twitch at all in 2021.
I helped out other hosts set things up on their end and have been vocally against streaming movies too, so I have no fucking clue where all the bullshit claiming otherwise is coming from. I gave up hosting at the end of last year as the autism was too much, as far as I'm aware no other anons have stepped up hosting either since all the streams get botted. I contacted the Jackbox developers over the problem with information on how to reproduce the exploit, last I heard is they are "working on it", this was 4 months ago. I suspect the issue is never going to be fixed.

The issue with using throwaways with every stream is that most streaming services require lengthy verification to let you stream in the first place, usually making you wait 24 hours and, in some cases, using phone verification before you're allowed to start streaming. This makes using throwaways extremely inconvenient on top of the already annoying process to get a stream setup optimally (with minimal delay)

That was the developer's wording actually, not y own. They consider this an exploit of their lobby system and (at least at the time) expressed that they wished to rewrite the lobby entry process so that one single user cannot bot it so easily. Ironically, their suggestion in the meantime was to use the twitch verification even though the earlier games do not support it and it barely avoids the problem at all - something that they're well aware of.

I highly doubt they'll change the lobby joining system, though, as you said it'd need a captcha system or even some kind of Jackbox account system to truly fix botting, and that would go against the design of convenience to play the game. Such a shame, I just want to play jackbox.
