If you talk to Jerren at Redmane castle before the festival is available then you get unique dialogue from Iji stating they’re long time friends. This is also an alternative path to talking to Seluvis and Sellen to learn about the Radahn festival for Ranni’s quest.
Also talk to Jerren after Radahn is dead then talk to Iji for additional dialogue
