It's a perfectly average beat-em-up. The devs don't seem to understand very well what makes the genre good, but it isn't so bad that it's completely unfun to play. There are worse titles out there, especially if we go deep into the arcade garbage titles. Luckily they seem to have at least reworked some of the combat systems in the sequel, so maybe RCG 2 will be better.
