Naturally this drove Corhyn nuts, as Corhyn's always been about faith in the Golden Order and Marika's lineage that brought humanity to greatness and should be worshiped and heralded accordingly. In the end, Corhyn abandoned Goldmask, considering him a heretic and a lunatic, and took his own life as the Erdtree, the focus of Golden Order fundamentalism and central to its faith, burned before him.

After killing Maliketh sometimes Corhyn ends up in the Ashen Capital calling Goldmask a crazy heretic and sometimes he remains on the bridge wondering where Goldmask went.
What causes each iteration? Is it random?

elden ring. crossbows/hand ballista/jar cannon are all great. Especially the explosive repeating shots. The bows are better than theyve been in any other souls game but not enough to be the sole source of damage for a build. Some of the artes for bows are really stong and demolish bosses

2 bows are completely viable because of how slow the game is in general. Weird tidbit though, there are only 19 lacerating arrows in the entire game. They either forgot to take the one chest that has them out, or forgot to assign the item a vendor, so you get exactly 19 from one chest per cycle. Basically makes them completely useless.

2 and 3 they are very viable
Elden ring they simply don't deal the damage. You can do it sure, but it won't be as easy. Cannon is fun but good luck using that on a boss unless you have phantoms

Although I just watched an ER playthrough with a bow today and it seemed okay, if slow.

They're good in ER for drawing in one enemy at a time, but with input reading as rampant as it has ever been it makes it hard to use it as a primary damage dealer. I don't really blame input reading because it should be an easy thing to dodge once you're looking out for it especially with how slow arrows travel in these games, and cheesing enemies before with the bow was kind of a bullshit strategy. I think really the arrows need to be a lot quicker than they are. Shooting an arrow close range should be near instantaneous.

In my game Choryn died and Goldmask disappeared after they got to the colosseum next to the tree. What's annoying is that I can still see Goldmask icon there when I open the map but he isn't actually there.
