Elden Ring LORE

Lorelets who keep screaming their headcanons that are Omens not being related to the Crucible should be hanged.

It's Meri nice to meet you.

In their defense, Elden Ring's lore is so fucking stupid and improperly presented that who gives a fuck at this point?

People aren't actually that stupid, right?

They are.

People came to the realization that the Cursed Seedbeds look like Omen stuff and decided that two separate forces (dungeater is clearly trying to replicate the omens "curse") leading towards the same thing was impossible.

Embarrassing.

It's probably the same lorelets that think GW sent Astel because they read two item descriptions that are similar but no confirmation of direct linkage.

Wasn't there an item that implied Omens were considered holy before the Erdtree decided they were yucky?

There’s already a thread bros

Astel popped up after they were sent underground. The destroyed eternal city doesn’t have that fake sky.

Then let this one sage them.

I liked ER but it's really time to move on.
The game isn't anything special and your recent experiences and encounters have already been experienced by 100s of thousands of other people

Why do crucible "malfunctions" when birthing humans can cause both Omen and Misbegotten?

...

gowry's little speech after I helped millicent was unironically quite sad, even if I fucking hate rot beings with a passion
most of it is due to the VA's delivery though
>Millicent... Malenia... Do you detest us, so utterly?

Attached: 1650653102957.jpg (640x609, 130.49K)

are they even putting any fucking effort in anymore?

what the fuck is the crucible

>The Lands Between
>MIDDLE earth

Wow, Tolkien just gave up, huh?

brother i just want to tell you that in 3 weeks you will be schizo posting about this game still. i've seen this pattern before.

>tolkien invented vikings

next you'll say he invented elves

so the "horns" from the crucible are actually roots

reminder that shabriri didn't kill yura
eleonora did

Uh, the Omen ARE related to the Seedbed Curse, have you not read the description for it?

"Curse grown on a corpse killed and defiled by the Dung Eater. A tender pox afflicted with OMEN HORNS. The Dung Eater cultivates the seedbed curse on corpses. By doing so he prevents dead souls returning to the Erdtree, leaving them forever cursed. One of the most loathsome things found in the Lands Between."

And given that the the Omen Bairn explicitly describes Omen as "curseborn", and all of Morgott's equipment and rememberences describe him as "accursed" and specifically having "accursed blood" what curse do you think is referring to here?

no, we will talk about it for the next decade
there's nothing you can do to stop us

>forgetting that the dung eater's armor buffs the omen bairns

Yeah, it's all just part of the blatant Dung Eater -> Seedbed Curse -> Omen connection that people don't see because they don't bother to read the descriptions for anything and rely on vague speculation or visual similarities between things.

The seedbed curse originated from Omen, DE took that curse and cultivated it on non-omen corpses.
Where do you think he got the source from?

It's important to remember that omen were only considered cursed after an alien tree showed up and said so. Beforehand they were divine.

>The seedbed curse originated from Omen, DE took that curse and cultivated it on non-omen corpses.
What proof is there for that? All the ingame sources and dialogue make it sound like the Dung Eater is the source for the Seedbed Curse given how much it ties into everything he's doing.

Why not both? The Erdtree takes advantage of the crucibles power, why can't other things?

Where's the proof for this claim?

There's only the loose connection between the Omen and the Crucible with some Crucible related things being considered divine. Everything that EXPLICITLY mentions the omen describes them as cursed or accursed, and heavily alludes to the Seedbed Curse and its effects being the reason why they are considered cursed.

>in game source and dialogue
And how do you keep ignoring the connection between the Omens and the Crucible.

Google the Crucible Knot Talismin that drops from the Omen Hunter.

elden ring is your generic, "YGGDRASIL, THE TREE OF LIFE" trope from animes, except they use every single part of the tree as lore.

World Trees are a common thing across most religions.

The Omen -> Crucible connection is supported far, far less by ingame sources than the Omen -> Curse connection.

The Margit/Mogh shackles, Morgott's Curse Sword, Omen Bairn and Seedbed Curse mention the Omen, and say they are cursed, curseborn or accursed.

On the Crucible side of things, we have the Crucible Knot Talisman dropped by an Omen Hunter and the other one being guarded by Omen. Neither of which mention Omen directly.

It doesn't mention the Omen by name, so we don't know how they were treat in the past or even when they started appearing.

Ok you need to get the timeline correct. Im not gonna read the rest because you keep ignoring the evidence ppl presented to you.
>supported far, far less by ingame sources
The sigil IS THE IN-GAME SOURCE
THE OMEN SHACKLES ARE THE IN-GAME SOURCE
IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW MUCH, IT'S STILL CANON.
Tell me, how is Dung Eater related to the Crucible, who created the Omen first?

have you ever considered that omens can be related to both the "curse" and the crucible?

The Omens were not a curse for the crucible but the curse according to GO.

I'm not an autistic lorefag, but I thought it was 'get too close to Crucible during rebirth = reborn as Omen', and Poopoo Man's curse was him discovering a way to force it to happen
Not like he's thousands of years old and created every omen or something crazy

Happy Friday everyone Miyazaki has an assignment for all Elden Ring fans, please see the attached image.

one is a dragonfly, the other is a scorpion

Come on now, your smoking gun evidence is that Margit/Mogh's shackle have a seal of the Erdtree when you use them? You don't think that's up to interpretation at all like the shackles being made using the power of the Erdtree that we know their souls are cut off from to bind them? Does speculatoin count as more valid proof than the MULTIPLE IN GAME SOURCES CONNECTING THE OMEN TO THE CURSE?

Why does the Dung Eater have to be connected to the Crucible at all? Why can't he be the originator of the curse? The Omen set kind of implies he is give that "their (Omen) form is a vision of the landscape of his mind, and of his appearance as he wished to see it". We don't even know when the Dung Eater was alive, he could have easily started the curse before Morgott/Mogh were born, been executed and revived recently by Grace.

>Poopoo Man's curse was him discovering a way to force it to happen
You get it correct.

Move this to /vg/ mods

wrong bug

>four wings and six legs
>no wings and eight legs
>sAmE tHiNg
get out of here, schizo

I CANT BELIVE THEY STOLE ORCS FROM TOLKEIN AND WARHAMMER!!

>have a seal of the Erdtree when you use them
It's the crucible seal you blind shit.

>Why can't he be the originator of the curse?
Ok so you think DE created ALLL the omen in the first place, instead of the Crucible?
Amazing. Your brain is full of shit like him.
DE was larping after the natural-born Omens and decided to be their SJW and experimented on their curse to make something that would spread the curse further, instead of being born, now you can contract it via blood/contact.

>he could have easily started the curse before Morgott/Mogh were born
So now you are saying DE dumped the curse on Marika.
Amazing
This is my last post from me, you are beyond saving.

OH SHIT IS THAT AN OMEN AAAAHHHHH CRUICBLE HERETICS

Ah yes, of course, the resemblance is uncanny

Compared to what, the scorpion?
Get out of here with that bullshit

Ok dude, if you can't accept ingame sources as proof and rely on speculation based on meme pictures you see on the internet, just fuck off then.

>Has Antenna
>No Pincers
>No tail ending in deadly stabby thing
you can at least try user

What about the falling star beasts? The cocoon astels that hang on the ceiling?

Bro you think Astel is an elder god when it’s just a normal ass space bug.

>100 hours in game
>still just in Luirna and have no clue what you people are taking about
Am I too slow?

Scorpion has
>no mandibles
>no pincer claws
>two more 'legs'
>fatter, flat body instead of rounder tube body
>no wings
You're clearly pushing some autistic theory, but theres no merit to it. The Astels have a closer resemblance to Antlions along with the Fallingstar Beast than to scorpions.
Try some more posts about how Astel Hair is similiar to the Scorpion hair, you'll get more bites

Yes

Nah, just take your time and enjoy the game at your own pace.

Nope, enjoy it user

>Bro you think Astel is an elder god when it’s just a normal ass space bug.
No, I don't, that's your retard zoomer adhd ass unable to focus on one aspect of a thing.

Consider for a moment that the enlargement that Omen are unreleased to the crucible is mainly to spite vaati for saying it is without mentioning the dung eater connection at all.

are you posting from your phone or something? this was unintelligible

Well since you asked, here.
Scorpions do have mandibles
Also obviously it's not 1-to-1, no insect has a giant human skull face and human skeletal arms.

Embarrassing.

Holy shit we have hair too. What does this mean bros?
