Yeah everything after the palace is pretty meh except maybe the Haligtree which is okay but is filled to the brim with reused enemies.
But to be fair, I don't get the love for Raya Lucia, both its main dungeon or area. I thought it was gonna be this game's equivalent to the Duke's Archive kinda like how Storm Veil was Bolataria's but no more space for more short cuts etc. Instead they wasted an entire segment for that elevator and stupid zombie graveyard.
Academy sucked. I enjoyed Caelid and Mt. Gelmir more than Liurnia.

The reason why everything after Capital is bad is because it’s all shamelessly reskinned bullshit in a game which was already seriously overstaying it’s welcome with reused assets.
There is indeed a difficulty spike, but only in the form of “these same enemies that you have been fighting for 80+ hrs now do double damage and MAYBE have one new gimmick.

I stopped playing desu. I have a full time job and a baby daughter, I can't put off my entire backlog for weeks on end because Miyazaki thought it's funny to shit on basic melee builds in the postgame.
I liked Farum Azula's art design/theme a lot, but the whole getting two shot by enemies hiding around blind corners didn't annoy you? The ripoff Ornstein and Smough didn't help either.

Its pretty to look at it, but even in its own game is hindered by the fact its all the way in the sky and not connected to anything making for shortcuts to basically be impossible which then hinder its potential and its just a linear level and at this point just filled to the brim with reused enemies you fought so many times already. They even reused a dragon already shamelessly reused who was supposed to be special.

I never said it's impossible, 2 of my friends beat the game full melee. They also have probably 3-4x as much free time as I do since they don't have a family.
The game got harder for full melee, but I'm probably not the target demographic anymore as a family father.
