Has there ever been a time where there wasn't at least one bad Borderlands DLC?

Im confused. I got this game on PS+ a month ago, but then on the store, it said pre-order. Whats going on?

No, but starting off on the worst one does not look good.

I barely know it exists and only due to ironic shitposting, I also have no idea if this game is Borderlands 4, or if it's a spin off with different gameplay. I suppose when Timmy is paying you for exclusivity, there is no need to market your game.

No the PS+ thing was a BL3 DLC which is also available as a stand alone game. Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is a new stand alone game, not BL4 more like a spin off.

do you live under a rock? day 1 dlc has been a thing since forever. even capcom was doing day 0 dlc by putting them on the disc.

Is Teeny Tina's Wonderland like a regular Borderlands game where you shoot and grab random guns? I haven't been paying attention to it because from the name and setting I just assumed it was a fantasy deck builder or something.

It is, but they just go harder on the RPG mechanics. So instead of skill trees which had at least a few meaningful skills that changed how you played you now have kill enemy to get 2% damage on your companions when they have cryo and your shields are full and it's raining outside and zanzibart hasn't been forgiven.

There gun variety is still there
Manufacturers are still the same but they all have parody fantasy names
One new thing they add was crossbow guns so you can sorta roleplay as Guts with his automatic corssbow arm
Melee is expanded on and has a range of weapons that hit fast but do shit damage to weapons that hit slow but do big damage.
You got your regular Shield (ward) item slot, class item(armor) slot, grenade (spell) slot, and two accessary slot with a chance to unlock another one after you beat the game.
More synergy across items

it wasn't. they charged you money to unlock fighters already on the disc. they got major backlash for it. it was literally nonstop shitposting on Yea Forums for days. if you don't remember that you're a newfag.

Its okay. Nothing to write home about but nothing to rage over. It does tie up a few loose ends that occurred in TPS and TftBL. I do remember it having some OP weapons and a thresher raid boss. There are also some Echologs meant to introduce the Borderlands 3 main characters too

Fritte and Valentine weren't even in the dnd game, they were basically just disembodied voices speaking for the sake of speaking.

I think so yes, I stopped tracking BL3 DLC after the 4th one because I was growing too disenfranchised with the series
