Steam Deck has infinite more uses than the Switch and infinite more games. Its a consumer friendly open platform.

Sure it is, besides, why does anyone need a Switch if every new release is fully emulated on a potato computer? You dont *have* to use the Steam Deck to emulate the Switch, just like you dont *have* to play any Switch games to have a good time, since almost every better game is NOT on the Switch.

The point is that you guys couldn't shut up about the Switch emulation on the Deck between the day it was announced up to its launch. But it turns out that the Deck isn't a replacement for the Switch because it's not the emulation beast that it was hyped up to be. And now you're backpeddling with statements like

The switch seems great on paper and even though it isn't horrible, it's just not as great as people make it out to be. I'm convinced the majority of people that hail it as the greatest thing gamers could ever want think so because of the idea of it, not because of what it really is.

I bought one a few months ago and basically never play it. The games are laggy as fuck, many are sub 720p, the controls suck and having to confirm the rebinding notice every time is a pain in the ass, and the games never go on sale.

The library is good, but I really wish Nintendo would just go third party, their hardware is complete trash
