does andromeda get better
I'm not trying to bait anyone, but I genuinely don't see why people say 1 is the best, outside of nostalgia.
People praise it for "RPG elements" but those are fucking dogshit in this game, with all the open maps being too empty and bland, and mountains of copy-paste loot spammed over and over again.
The combat is unimpressive and there are too many bullet-sponge enemies.
Story is generic "save the world from evil delusional megolomaniac".
World is just "Star Trek with swearing and some tits".
I just don't get it. Sure, maybe in 2007 it was impressive, but basically everything in the game is done better in Mass Effect 2 (a genuinely great game), and the things that aren't in future games, like the """""""RPG elements"""""""" were shit and needed to be cut anyway.
If you've met Peebee and done the first Remnant dungeon then no, it doesn't get better
you're not wrong. they're contrarians or in denial
mechanically 2 and even 3 are better
they simply ran out of time/polish for 1. the same reused cerberus installations, the complete ass inventory. shit tier armor/weapons that blur together. the unreal engine jank and pop-in, shit load times, ui, worthless classes, sniper/pistol are god tier when leveled properly, etc
you can argue that 1 has the best writing of them all and that's totally fair. but as a game 2 is better even if it goes backwards in rpg elements
I don't know bro you just sound like a zoom zoom to me.
>anyone that has a different opinion is a zoomer
1(LE)>2>1>3
>assuming direct control
>refills enemy health gives them extra health bad
>guns and armor customization nurfed
>me1 has like 10 different ammo types for different enemies
>me1 has much better ambiance and music than 2
>me 1 has a better story of people being gethed on the spikes and the reapers
>LOL BUT DA COLLECTORS MAKING HUMAN REEEEEEEPERS
me2 gets mogged by me1 in almost every way
>People praise it for "RPG elements" but those are fucking dogshit in this game
It's the one where you're constantly given the most options in the dialogue wheel, you'll often have five options in the wheel compared to ME2's three and ME3's two. Sure, a bunch of them actually resulted in Shepard saying the exact same phrase, but there's something to be said about how effective illusion of choice is for a player
>with all the open maps being too empty and bland
This is the type of thing where you'll just have to accept your tastes aren't the same as other anons; I adore the uncharted planets in all their emptiness, and I genuinely believe they add to the atmosphere
>The combat is unimpressive and there are too many bullet-sponge enemies
This will depend entirely on what class and difficulty you played it on
>Story is generic "save the world from evil delusional megolomaniac"
Wait until you learn about the "BioWare RPG Cliché Chart"
>basically everything in the game is done better in Mass Effect 2 (a genuinely great game)
Oh, you're just a shitposting retard. Nevermind then.
I'm not convinced in the slightest, pretty poor counter-arguments.
I finished 3 for the first time yesterday (Destroy) and I think I agree with this ranking. 3 has its issues and everything to do with the catalyst is dumb but for the most part I really enjoyed the end of most character's arcs, the constant sense of despair and also the combat is finally fun to play. 1 is still the best one even though it has the worst combat by virtue of being a decent RPG and focusing on locations beyond just being shooting galleries. 2 has great character writing but I won't deny it has the least RPG elements and it feels like a slog with more filler elements than ever
You did say
"Sure, maybe in 2007 it was impressive"
Mass Effect 2 is comfy because it makes me feel like a Star Trek captain, with each mission and especially the loyalty ones feeling like different episodes of a show. The heavily episodic and relatively chill pacing of Mass Effect 2 makes it a lot more fun and enjoyable to me.
Funny because 1 is the one that feels the most like Star Trek to me, as it's the one where you can solve the most problems by learning about an issue then discussing things with your opponent; Shepard feels the most like a Picard in ME1, as soon as 2 you start shooting first asking things later as if we transitioned to the Kelvin Timeline
> ENEMIES EVERYWHERE
> krogan biotics literally stunlock you into infinite ragdoll
> guns and armor customization is nerfed but mods fix this, but their roles are better defined vs ME1
> ME1's music is god tier but ME2 is just as amazing. 1 is more memorable because it's the first and set the wonder
> ME1's story is all setup, which is fine but your imagination is why it's held in high regard, it's just another typical bioware reskinned story, just "done right"
> ME2 collector human is a pleb filter. the boss fight itself is ass, but the entire lore is that they make reapers out of a dominant species, which is the whole point
I can't choose...
I choose the one whose skin you can cum on without her dying from infection
I'm surprised that anyone didn't try to port the me3 multiplayer to the remaster
With port i mean mod
this, except 2>1>3 with honorable mention to 3's kino side quests
Story: 2 > 1 > 3
Characters: 2 > 3 > 1
Combat: 3 > 2 > 1
World/level design: 2 > 3 > 1
Atmosphere: 2 > 1 > 3
>2
>best at story and characters
Oh boy am I laffin
1 and 3 are literally just "save the world from huge apocalyptic threat", there's nothing unique or interesting about it.
In 2 you're literally working for a racist terrorist organisation that everyone else hates.
>In 2 you're literally working for a racist terrorist organisation that everyone else hates
Are we just going to ignore that fact that that makes no fucking sense? Or how they character assassinated multiple characters? Or how the fuck Cerberus solved death? Or how the game completely abandons everything that was setup for it in the previous game? I could go on and on. I give 2 credit for giving us Mordin and Jack, the rest of the writing? Nah.
>Or how the game completely abandons everything that was setup for it in the previous game?
So basically you just wanted the story to revolve around saving the world from the Reapers again.
Fucking boring.
>N7
S-Shepard??
As opposed to doing the same but with bugmen?
I would have agreed awhile ago but it's time to admit 3 is the best one. 1 and 3 offer vastly different gameplay experiences but 3 is substantially better.
Uh yeah? That's what we fucking spent the whole first game talking about and playing through. And instead what do we get in the first 5 seconds of 2? Kill Shepard, blow up the ship, and scatter every crew mate into the 4 winds.
Who the fuck are the collectors coming from nowhere? WHO KNOWS
Why the fuck did they just attack the Normandy? WHO CARES
How the fuck did they see through the Normandy's stealth drive and how the fuck did they even know where they were? DON'T THINK ABOUT IT
Why didn't the Collectors destroy all the escape pods or at least capture and harvest them all? WHO CARES
>>basically everything in the game is done better in Mass Effect 2 (a genuinely great game)
>Oh, you're just a shitposting retard. Nevermind then.
Can someone explain why 2 is considered bad? Havent played it since I was younger and I remember genuinely enjoying it
Hey, at least they got a cool opening sequence out of it.
>reentry
What in the actual fuck did they reconstruct to bring this cunt back to life? Did they duct tape his fucking atoms back together?
You are trolling, right? It's actually
1 > 3 >>>>>>>>>>>>>> 2
ME2 is a great game with great characters. It's just that they made the premise of the story kinda silly.
>Can someone explain why 2 is considered bad?
It's a decent game, but not a good Mass Effect game. It's fucking lousy at carrying forth the themes, story, and the characters from the first game.
>How the fuck did they see through the Normandy's stealth drive and how the fuck did they even know where they were?
It's stated that they have technology from the reapers.
You're making me genuinely angry right now. I just want you to know that.
Sorry that the game answers the question you were asking, user
>Story: 2
>Characters: 2
>World/level design: 2
>Atmosphere: 2
For fuck's sake user
How did these games aged?
been thinking of giving the remasters a try but I don't want to ruin my good memories
You handed me a post of jack shit which ignored every other part of the argument. You think you can just handwave all the shit that makes no fucking sense just by saying >it's Reaper magic I aint gotta splain shit
Explain the rest of the post next
>clearly doesn't like RPG's
>wants to play a shitty third person shooter instead
>which ignored every other part of the argument.
I wasn't answering the other question, just that one.
>that makes no fucking sense just by saying >it's Reaper magic I aint gotta splain shit
Then say it's a bad explanation.
LE is great. I just finished replaying the whole thing with mods and it's even better than I remembered.
>Then say it's a bad explanation.
That's what I did you dipshit
No, you said "How the fuck did they see through the Normandy's stealth drive and how the fuck did they even know where they were?"
They answer how in the game.
what mods?
I'm not arguing semantics with you. The whole point of the point was to convey my dissatisfaction with the explanations given.
>The whole point of the point was to convey my dissatisfaction with the explanations given.
But you didn't acknowledge the explanation given by the game at all.
Go find some on Nexus, bro.
The FOV mod and pic-related for ME2 and ME3 are a must, imho.
Because I don't remember ever seeing it in game. Not that it would have mattered anyway if your statement is accurate.
How things would be different if we swap Shepard and Isaac Clarke?
1 is its own beast, kinda janky but still fun. 3's combat is phenomenal. 2 is basically 3's gameplay but slightly worse.
> ME1's music is god tier but ME2 is just as amazing
HAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHA
>Because I don't remember ever seeing it in game
And I was just reminding you that the game does give you an explanation.
And?
Also where in game did that explanation occur? I can't find shit right now and I want to read it properly
2>1>3
1 wasn't technically great, but it was first with all the novelty
2 got all fancy technical improvements and polished design
3 brought nothing new, casual, simplified platformer
Unironically not so much, they're both equal in terms of fortitude so their fights with Reapers/necromorphs would lead to the same results
you can say whatever you want but kotor just sucks
>3 brought nothing new
Am i joke to you?
>2 had improvements and polished design by simplifying everything
>3 gets some of the RPG mechanics back like weapon mods or actual skill trees that aren't linear but that's the casual one
Fuck me. Replaying the trilogy again made me had actual hope for the new game…
All they would need is his brain mostly intact. the reconstruction thing is retarded and it should have just been a clone with a brain mapping copied over
They ended up doing the clone thing anyway
>subhumans actually liking 3 more than 2
lmao
>LE is great.
no it's not
they did something either to the camera or the animations or both, and it feels like gta trilogy now
>All they would need is his brain mostly intact
They don't have that.
>the reconstruction thing is retarded
Agreed, beyond retarded.
Isaac remains sane having the Marker blueprints in his mind and whatever experiments Titan Station made with him, which turned Stross into a schizo so he'd probably be able to survive and understand the Eden Prime beacon same as Shepard. After that who knows, their universes' technology is too different to accurately predict it, with biotics and personal shields and other stuff
