The Blue Blur or The Blue Bomber?
The Blue Blur or The Blue Bomber?
I’ve fapped to them both many times.
Why the fuck was this crossover evena thing?
Megaman is super fun when you get into it
Sonic still filters me completely, I cannot get my head around it
If you can't get into 2d sonic, just pick tails and break the game in half until you get it
You really aren't missing much. The 2D games are super basic and the 3D games, also basic, are almost entirely automated
The Blue Plumber
maybe, but I'd like to at least beat one game
Megaman filtered me for ages too, I tried X multiple times and couldn't beat a single boss, until it all kinda clicked and I blitzed through all the X games (on the SNES at least) back to back. Probably some of my favorite games ever now
Sonic I still don't get it
The maps are so big but there seems to be no reason to explore them. The whole thing is about going fast but you go SO fast I can't even tell what I'm looking at. I don't know what I'm meant to be doing desu
How the fuck did you get filtered by Sonic but managed to beat Megaman?
Sonic games are pretty easy. You don't even need to go fast all the time, just slow down and hit enemies.
You have the spin dash to help you go fast and beat the enemies ahead of you.
>The whole thing is about going fast but you go SO fast I can't even tell what I'm looking at
The first playthrough is fine to take a bit slow even if you have to fight the level design a bit, which ones are you even playing? Because if it's anything other than Sonic 3 or Mania I'd suggest playing those first
I only played the OG and 3+Knuckles
idk guess it's just one of those things, I have an inexplicable blindspot for Sonic
Sonic was never good
gay
I guess dashing is faster than it appears in the games I guess X and Zero dashing must be fast as fuck in reality too
Nearly every Classic Megaman game is good. Meanwhile, Sonic fans find it hard to even name 5 good games across its entire history.
Or if they can name 5, too many of them weren't even made by Sonic Team anyway.
>Sonic 1
>Sonic 2
>Sonic CD
>Sonic 3 & Knuckles
>Sonic Mania
Easy. Now don't ask me to expand that list any further.
Not him but I will quick name 3 more good games!
Not that user, but I enjoyed 3D Blast, Spinball, and Adventure 1.
Autism.
Archie Sonic?
Yeah, that fucker is kind of busted
Generations, Adventure and Adventure 2. You fuckers speak as if Sonic has no games. Before someone says SA2 is not good, it is. Its just not great.
Mega Man is more consistently good, but Sonic (S3&K, Heroes) at his peak beats Mega Man's peak (Z3, ZXA).
Desperate play for sales boosts. Didn't work, Archie Mega Man was shit.
Blue Waffle
Classic Megaman > classic Sonic (1-3) > other Megaman games >>>>> other Sonic games
i refuse to listen to anyone who calls sonic the blue blur
>Sonic (S3&K, Heroes) at his peak beats Mega Man's peak (Z3, ZXA).
Imagine actually believing this. I say this as a fan of both.
The Azure Striker
>The Blue Blur or The Blue Bomber?
I don't understand why these phrases seem to stick around when almost no one ever says them and they've never been referred to that in their franchises outside of (I imagine) some random 90s western marketing.
Based Heroeschad
How on earth can you enjoy megaman but get filtered by Sonic
Sonic's physics are complicated and there is a high skill ceiling but the games are easy as fuck if you are just trying to play them to beat the game. The rings health system is one of the most lenient in the genre. I guess the special stages are sometimes hard if you are trying to get the best ending?
Where's you're contention?
Dangerously based
NTA but maybe its not that its difficult for him, he just doesn't gel with the games? Their design philosophy is not for him.
2D Sonic games are the opposite of basic. They are easy but the movement mechanics and physics are much more complicated and you can do a lot more than them than most platformers. This is leaving aside the multiple route nature of stages, different characters with different playstyles (again affecting possible stage routes), multiple endings, various special stages, actual simultaneous multiplayer unlike the mario games of the era, the 'lock on' stuff with 3&K, I could go on and on
There are things to criticize about the series, especially if you are not playing the widescreen releases, but a lack of content or depth in the gameplay is definitely no one of them.
the years haven't been kind to either of them
Ladyboys not welcome.
>he years haven't been kind to either of them
Regarding new releases? Yeah, sure, but their old games have aged like fine wine.
Osmosis. Same reason people think Sonic's catchphrase is "Gotta Go Fast" even though he's never actually said it outside of the shitty paramount films.
user, jumping off a slope to get a slightly higher jump doesn't give the game that much depth. Overall, even Mario 1 is a deeper game thanks to having threatening enemies (thanks to life not being so free, as rings are)
His design, concept & gameplay were all great in concept.
FUCK YOU GUNVOLT
Shut up Cope you are not even in GV3 you are not relevant to the main story anymore, keep going into random worlds to Cope with the fact that your sister is a dead giant brain.
Good thing there's a lot more to it than just that then. You can make anything sound basic if you are dishonestly oversimplifying it, including with Mario.
what the sound addon was made for
>CD
Not him, good diagram, properly illustrates the wrong direction that the series has continually gone in since its inception. Sonic 1 wasn't an amazing game by any standards, but at least it felt like you were in control of a character in the game world and not just giving suggestions to some cinematic AI routine that wants to show you a cutscene of a fairground ride. By changing the game to remove the possibility of players doing the wrong thing, so that anybody smashing the buttons can still activate the cinematic fairground ride, SEGA have removed the feeling of control and the immersion which comes from directly interacting with the game without an idiot-proof interpreter in the way.
Homing attacks and the complete removal of intertia are the worst examples of destructive 'accessibility'.
i think these were made by the Sonic Utopia guy
>posts an image refuting his own post
Worst part is games like picrel do literally the top one so there's no reason why it couldn't have worked in 3d
I suppose it would filter casuals as SRB2 undoubtedly does
Reading this shit is when I realized that crossovers are fucking retarded.
>PERSONA
PERSONA!
lmao is that fucking real
what a piece of shit
Id be angry as fuck as that if I read it as it came out good thing I ignore comics
It's the difference between controlling a character and watching a character being controlled
There is actually quite a lot you can do with movement in the adventure games but it's mostly obtuse and not required by the gameplay at all unless you are speedrunning or similar.
This is exactly why I cant play modern sonic games.
