It's really bad. Lack of character development and characters feel emotionless in general. There are no struggles and sweat that makes the payoff worth it.

I only played Inazuma Eleven 2 Blizzard or whatever it was called. I liked the game decent enough even as someone not mad into RPG type stuff. Is it worth playing the older ones and if so via what method?

This, Basedokaze Step in particular was amazing.short and clean

To add salt to injury, they went from "we need a fucton of tactics and combo skills to surpass the stronger teams" of the first series to "we need stronger individual tecniques", a big letdown

the most apparent thing is that all the sprites are fucked up and blurry looking but more importantly the was a very noticeable error with the touch controls where it won't register you touching a player, feels like the "hitboxes" are off. I have probably 60 hours in IE2 and never had a problem like that but it happened all the time in the 3ds port of 3. And, naturally, that wasn't a problem in the actual 3ds games either.
