Honestly i myself had a pretty good time with this event, i slowly use rewards to upgrade my shiranui deck with zombie world and it picked up from there and was pretty fun, even pic related had a lot of use popping floodgates and true draco backrow, especially after banishing spirit caller to pop skill drain, and my final duels before i got the title include two great mayakashi duels where i didn't even go for zombie world but for shuranuis and they were back and forth and fucking great, especially since i always tried using my sunchros to take down theirs, I'm a lorefag and thematic duels like that are just amazing for me

I enjoy SYNCHROOOOOO, but it's not something I'd do all the time, so having it in a special event was a nice change of pace.

I have a new found respect for Phantasm Spiral, synchrotrannies led me to believe they were some degenerate stun deck instead of a based normal monster + equip focused archetype.
As for the event itself it's pretty bad, but only because no one wanted to play versus synchros or play synchros
The missions that made no sense were the worst parts
The loaner decks were good you can steal some games provided your opponent doesn't have any interruptions, and cosmetic rewards were also appreciated

I did, I enjoyed finally being able to use my Meklord Emperor's effects.
And they completely stomped multiple types of Stun decks geared towards cucking ED-heavy decks because the ED in my event Meklord deck wasn't really used (it was just there to prevent people from immediately assuming I'm playing stun). True Draco in particular folded very handily and I managed to actually score over 10,000 damage on one in a single hit.

When people talk about it as a Stun deck they're typically talking about Pacifis Stun, which doesn't actually run the Phantasm Spiral Serpent itself.

Gravekeepers are the only cool stun deck and still the best grave hate deck in the game.

Yes. People kept trying to play through my Maxx C when I was playing 30-handtrap Ursarctic. Like the deck isn't good but... you can't do that.

I find running a small equip package is worth it for the ability to turn a 4 turn clock into a 2 turn clock. Having the ability to but that much pressure on the board more or less on demand is actually pretty useful, since a dead opponent can't draw Cosmic Cyclone.

Phantasm Spiral is konami's apology to yugiboomers, dont let the combotroons gaslight you into thinking skill drain is bad and that you are shitter for using it even though your deck synergizes with it. Remember if given the chance they'll do what skill drain does to them to you, only its going to take them 30 mins to do so.

Hadn't played for over a month so I just played a few matches with the red loaner deck with the clear wing synchro. It was surprisingly fun and I even won 5/7 duels figuring out how to play the deck. Almost makes want to play ranked again, almost.

Hope they make an event where you can only use the loaners or have to play a different deck everyday.
