some people got to upload early game on youtube and watching it clearly shows the flaws of 5vs5 format. like everyone expected years ago matches are just brawls instead team fights when off tank is gone.
I actually think the games in a pretty good state right now. I’m gonna miss OW1 desu, even with all its faults. I wish OW2 didn’t have to completely absorb OW1.

Iconic abilities of both characters. McCree's entire playstyle revolves around getting headshots. How the fuck does he slow down enemies now to make that easier? And Sombra's entire thing is that she's a hacker. She doesn't fucking hack other players now? What the hell is the point of her then?

Sounds about right. The balance in this game is unfixable. There are characters like Mei which revolve around cc. They may as well straight up leave characters out of the sequel if they need to change them so drastically.
The pve aspect of this game sounded more interesting, but knowing Blizzard it's probably just a campaign of omnic events that we already got in OW1. Into the trash it goes.

So I was wrong about sombra she still has hack but it only lasts one second. I’m kinda undecided on the Mccree change. On one hand his Flash+Fan combo is absolute cancer and counters way too many hero’s, on the other I can’t really see what he brings to the table without it that other hero’s aren’t better at, plus tracer loses her big counter pick .

Only gold shitters did this. Actual good players would flash + headtap unless it's a tank. They could give him a device that slows a single player but I don't see how that would be less annoying.

It's fucking amazing how the playerbase can't grasp the puddle of depth this game has. It boggles my mind that even the most basic shit can go over their heads. Hell, fucking Jeff "Tigole" Kaplan didn't know that the fucking cracks on tank shields meant that it was at a certain health threshold. The game is doomed due to how god damn stupid the playerbase is. No amount of patches is going to change that.

Same, I play almost everyday still. The game is definitely stale but I think they picked a good patch to go on this extended content drought, balance isn’t bad.
I hope we get a classic mode in OW2 so the version we have now isn’t lost forever.

I think there is a good to fair chance that it'll end being just as uninspired and boring as the OW1 PvE events. If that's the case after such a long development time it'll be the 2nd biggest joke in gaming history (and given what gaming has given us these past few years that's saying a lot)

The map design and flow of combat is why OW was unfixable from the start. Literally every map is annoying chokepoints and hallways. Its like the League of hero shooters, big team fights only and the maps are so small and force you into doing the same shit everytime. They need bigger maps, allowing people to flank and have actual maneuvers and just stop trying to go for 5v5/6v6 dogshit muh comp and go full like 10v10 wacky shit.

The maps are already fucking big, theres always routes and areas that never get used. It's just that it's too risky to flank alone due to the hardcounters this game has.
It's also the fact that the game has infinite ammo and cooldown abilities, so everyone just takes turns killing each other with all their abilities while they wait to be killed since they're on cooldown.

PvE is gonna get old in like a week since they're are no different items, weapons to collect like a proper PvE game such as L4D.

2/5 people enjoying the game means DPS are going to be stuck with 25 minute queues again after the first month of game. No one is going to want to play tank or support unless they fix shit. Either remove the trinity completely or embrace the trinity and make every role fun.

The worst thing is the devs don't want to play anything but DPS either. 2/3rd of the rooster is competing for 2 DPS slots and they begin with adding another fucking DPS in 2. I always said if the devs want to see where their own decisions lead the palyerbase they should play qp classic. The players naturally gravitates towards 1 tank, 1 healer and 4 dps, which actually reflects the ratio of the rooster. Instead they just do what they always do: band aid the problem with 1 tank which won't help them in the long run.

They should stick to PvE. Here their years of eperience with WoW and Diablo is actually beneficial and the few PvE events we had we way more enjoyable than the actual game.

that's why the flash rightclick one shot was such bs. Made approaching him a pain in the ass and almost always felt like an undeserved death. He is a character about mid range consistent burst dmg via hitscan (which by design is strong due to it's versatility).
Sombra is the most annoying character to play against. Sombra's kit rewards cowardice and hero's that rely on high mobility to be effective and get in and out get countered so hard that you have to play as slow and boring as the sombra (no abilites for 4 seconds is too long).
She is in my oppinion an "anti fun character" so i don't mind that they drop the hacker stuff

not anymore. the only character worth headshotting after a flash is tracer because she gets insta killed by the followup. If you headshot other characters like doomfist you as mccree will get punished

Correction, pro-players have always complained about the poor balance of OW. The enforced meta wasnt their doing but a reaction to how poorly balanced blizz made things, and instead of trying to fix that, blizzard admitted to purpusefully making a new meta every few months rather than attempting to just balance things.

Infinite ammo means there's no lapse in the constant hail of bullets during firefights, making ultimates the only way to break stalemates. Obviously you'd have to make other adjustments for the game because of limited ammunition, but unlimited ammo is definitely one of the things I hate about Overwatch.
