>port of a 2 year old VN sells over 27000 in first week
Actually a decent number. No one with more than a room temperature IQ should have expected it to be any higher.

>physical only
then who gives a shit wtf
elden bros rule the digital sales world

>Notably, they completely rewrote Marina and tried to turn her into a Marie 2.0
I still have no idea how NoA imagined that would fly with international media projects like the concerts or if they wanted to distribute manga or even produce an anime or something worldwide.
After Splatoon 1 they more than anything should have had those kinds of things in mind.

I still hate that NoE had its budget and employees slashed while NoA was invested in further during the late Wii U era. At least NoA has gotten a lot of scrutiny under the Switch era. But NoE still hasn't recovered from what I can gather.

nice

Holy fucking based.

Wow ER got mogged by Ring fit adventure

What does the poster behind these posts even think they're implying by posting a month old data like this?
He never motivates why he actually shares this data considering that it's not up to date. It's just confusing to bring up outdated data with no context.

People were saying SOP was a super flop so it being half of triangle strategy isn't that bad.

It got mogged by a fucking pink blob for fucks sake

What went wrong?

Attached: 1643319459086.jpg (1024x586, 137.75K)

All this really shows is how substantial Steam's growth in Japan has been.
Someone should link that GDC talk with Valve explaining their business plan for Japan. I can't find it for some reason. But no doubt it must have worked.

>1. [NSW] Kirby and the Forgotten Land – 38,234 / 589,200
Wow. Kirby royally kicked Elden Rings ass

Reminder

Attached: IMG_20220331_231629.jpg (1080x2241, 438.37K)

the trannies forgot to factor PC,which is pretty popular nowadays in japan

Eh I wouldnt say its popular steam only has japenese steam users at about 2.5 million users

>implying Blizzard games aren't pozzed as all hell now

What can Japanese 3rd parties do to save themselves?

Attached: 2022-04-21-22-16-36.jpg (1338x934, 198.28K)

look at fucking level 5, from #2 to almost nothing in 6 years

What do you mean? That's a huge increase especially considering the old stigma of PC being for eroge and not normal games.
That's a huge increase in popularity and one of the main games behind this push was Dark Souls.

What the hell happened there?

Well, they either throw themselves at the mercy of the Switch and compete there or they make western oriented JRPGs which means you go for the Western audience for sales and ignore Japan or do multiplatform which is the smartest choice.

Yokai Watch burnout + investing in mobile games that failed

Capcom may sell alot but they make jack shit

>microsoft
user, Microsoft/Blizzard aren't going to use those designs anymore. It's too "gross" to them.

Isn't this the fifth time we've had this thread now?

1000000 Physical+Digital/AllPlatforms
400000 Physical PS4+PS5

240000 Assuming "60% digital" was all playstation, this would be the digital Playstation sales. 60% of "400000 Physical PS4+PS5"
But 400000 + 240000 only adds up to 640000, namely 360000 short of 1000000 which is the confirmed total physical+digital.

So at least
360000 would have to be Steam sales because Xbox doesn't even exist, and assuming the above is all true you'd need this figure in order hit the 1M mark which is the confirmed total.
But because we know 400000 is the confirmed physical, 600000 would have to be the confirmed digital in order to hit the 1M mark.
600000(the confirmed digital) is 150% of 400000(the confirmed physical, all Playstation), which is far, far beyond the confirmed 60% digital ratio for Elden Ring. And also far, far above even the global average digital ratio for Playstation, which is 70% digital of the total physical sales. But we know the Japanese average is less than half that of the global average, but even assuming the global average applied to Japan in this scenario (it most certainly does not), these numbers still show us that the vast majority of digital sales were on Steam.
But remember, the digital average for Playstation in Japan is in truth closer to 30%, less than half the global average. With the roof for digital sales in Japan being observed to land around 40% at best. This would still mean that roughly 50% of the 1M Elden Ring sales in japan were Steam sales. And that's a pretty moderate estimate. If the digital ratio for Elden Ring's sales were to show to be even lower then the majority of the total sales would in fact be Steam sales. Granted that's not very likely, but the fact that it remains possible is quite noteworthy indeed.

But yes
TL;DR everything point towards roughly 50% of the total Elden Ring sales in Japan being Steam sales.
If you want to dispute this you better be able to back it up with some numbers.

If you assume PC sales at 1.6 of PS5 sales (with 40% digital bonus) and add all 3 (PS4+digi, PS5+digi and PC) it's around 1.1m. So digital being 60% for Sony is unlikely.

Why don't you poor third worlders just build a fucking PC and let go of all this nonsense console wars?

Attached: 1641931249735.jpg (768x1024, 92.78K)

user, it's a bot.

There is always a human behind every bot, somewhere. It didn't just write itself into existence.

I have a PC. And I play about 60% of my games on it.

60% digital would mean 950k total

usually the mistake people make is to count digital share based on retail sales [ 380k * (1+60/100) = 608k ] instead of total sales [ 380k / (1-60/100) = 950k ]

bump

So why do you care about this irrelevant shit then? PC already covers everything, there is no need to console war for Kiketendo/Snoy in the year 2022.

Why do YOU care about it?

Because you pollute the only video game site I browse. Fuck off with this shit to GameFaqs/Leddit/Discord.

Hide this thread then and go to one of 20 ER threads.

>So why do you care about this irrelevant shit then?
Because it's not irrelevant. Japan makes the majority of all videogames, and the vast majority of all good ones. And these sales trends dictates the future of their industry, and by large the videgames industry as a whole.
That's why I am interested in it.

A 60% digital split is 1 million, not 640k

b

It's funny when a thread about sales with objective, impartial data is considered "console warring"

It's console warring if your favourite console manufacturer is losing.
That's why it's easy to spot Snoys posing as mustards like .

Yes, but that doesn't include unsold PS and Xbox copies on shelves. Then you get 50-something% digital to split among PS, Xbox and Steam

It doesn't matter if I hide this thread, once it's page 10, you'll instantly have made a new one

You fucks have been saying this for years but all I see in these threads is passive aggressive butthurt towards either Sony or Nintendo. And no, these sales matter not even half as much as you think they do. Most games you play are released on the global market and therefore the global market is more indicative of what you'll be playing. The only times you can make this argument is for JPN-only games which I doubt you even play or know the language.

Why do bing bing trannies hate ER so much?

Half of this thread are tendies being butthurt over Elden Ring lmao. So much for "impartial".

>you'll instantly have made a new one
Why do you lie? Unless something like 30/30 happens there's always exactly 4 famitsu threads per week (2 for top 10 and 2 for 30).

>atleast 4 threads every week having the same literal circlejerk
Why don't you homos just go to /vg/ or even better Discord?

Why don't you go to Discord?

I've been here since 2007. I'll not have some console warring retards change that.

Then keep seething here.

So you were fine with the snoyboys ramapnt shitposting?

>snoy is so pissed he actually made a "golden wojaks anal vore" thread
lmao

There you are again, acting like a literal third world console warrior. Build a PC and let go of this childish shit. Or you can't afford to?

So you were fine with the sony pony shitposting.

>5. [NSW] Battle Spirits: Connected Battlers – 10,764 / NEW
>27. [PS4] Battle Spirits: Connected Battlers – 1,438 / NEW
ALmost 1:10 on whatever this is.

You literally have to invent strawman in your head to remain in your state of third world underaged console warrior.

And you spam anal vore.
Is that what they're into in brazil?

The data in the OP is impartial. Crying about the existence of a thread with such data is quite curious.
>Half of this thread are tendies being butthurt over Elden Ring lmao
More like butthurt about every single thread for the past month being spammed with old news. Not to metion Sonyfags are trying to spin it in their favor

It's over for Snoy. There is very little reason for Nip developers to focus on PS nowadays.

Why aren't 3rd party games selling on PlayStation?

>A 60% digital split is 1 million
1 million is the total. Not 60%.

>2. [NSW] 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim – 27,199 / >NEW3DS – 224 (24.592.801)

H NONonONOOnoNO. How much did sell on ps4?
