not unless it's on pc, it won't

FPBP

I might get a bing big wahoo for splatoon. I missed out on 2 but the first was super fun. Its has cute squids, dress up, idols, bangin music adventure, race wars. What more could you want?

imagine playing this as an adult. yuck. weirdo.

>*saves my penis with more woomies*

sadly true
it would need to be on all consoles to create enough of an impact to change the genre
no matter how much i would love if all controller games started supporting gyro aim

>early access cancer
>saving anything

>Tendy's first shooter
You know how you can tell someone's a shitter? they think gyro-aim is anything other than a substitute for auto-aim on consoles.

>removing ai-assisted aiming
>implements a massively improved control scheme that allows for fast, precise, and comfortable aiming
>retards will consider this a flaw (for some reason)
You're so fucking asshurt you refuse to recognize when games use modern technology to improve genre mechanics.

A lot of them have on Playstation. It's still not really a common and accepted thing, but the option usually exists for those in the know.

i cant name any i played that has it on ps5
what has it, returnal?

Splatoon has massive hitboxes and no damage multipliers for shooting different parts of the body, so that "accuracy" is meaningless.
It has a whole weapon class designed around not hitting your opponent and being rewarded for it.

Dunno about PS5. I know TLOU2 had gyro aiming even though the implementation wasn't great. I'm pretty sure a lot of popular shooters like Apex have gyro aim options now. It's usually hidden in the options submenus somewhere, but you'd be surprised how many games support it.

Not that user but that's a completely separate point from gyro aiming, which isn't analogous to auto-aim in the first place.

The point is that even though there isn't AI-controlled aiming, it's still really forgiving when it comes to landing shots.

That's not an issue caused by gyro aim. If they had the same weapons and hitboxes but it was kb+m it would be the same fucking thing. The problem lies outwith the aiming mechanism.

>improve genre mechanics
it's a gimmick and is best used as a sidegrade to auto-aim, there's a reason it never caught on and only gets praised by faggots like you who never touched online shooters before splatoon. If gyro-aim was as amazing as you've convinced yourself it is, it would have been widely adopted a decade ago and wound up the default on consoles rather than regulated to the wagglin's console and it's handheld successor.

Thanks for proving my point though, shitter

Bro he's implying that the reason you think gyro-aim is so amazing is because the only series that make great use of it doesn't require any actual accuracy or skill.

huh
i know uncharted 4 didnt atleast when i played it and that cod battle royale didnt have it either so i just plugged in my mouse and keyboard and uninstalled after 3 games anyways

>hurr durr he's making a strawman argument and doesn't know you can do gyro aiming in fucking anything through Steam controller settings combined with DS4Windows
Not that I use pad much on PC but as a test, it was perfectly good.

So it is all but officially announced this game will get delayed right? I was going to wait for 3 but I guess I better play Spaltoon 2 again.

Wait no, you don't need Steam, you just need to fuck with DS4W profile settings.

Splatoon 1 had a final event where whoever won would be one of the main protagonists for the second. Who won the final event in the second? Don't tell me forehead girl won.

When's it supposed to come out?

It was Chaos vs. Order, Chaos won. And yes Pearl always wins, that's just assumed, all of the shitters end up on Marina's team, no exceptions.

She did

She did, she was chaos, and Marina the brown one was futuristic order

Supposed to be mid 2022

It's not a strawman argument in the slightest. Aiming in Splatoon is easy, gyro or not. The extremely simple control scheme helps a lot too- not a lot of games can afford the button for a camera reset.

Splat 3 needs to come out already, I'm fucking sick of splat 2 being full of MPU-stacking squelchies and kpro

Attached: 1607810465762.jpg (750x750, 42.16K)

People are just assuming that it is delayed because all we have gotten for a release date is "Summer 2022", but Xenoblade 3 just got moved forward to July and Nintendo is probably not gonna want to launch two major games so close to each other. Nothing is confirmed yet.

I wonder if they're going to remove Main Power Up AGAIN after it ruined yet another game upon being introduced.

>No hitscan weapons
Easily better than your cucked shooter

>Splat 1 meta was nothing but Attack Up fucking everywhere
>Splat 2 removes it
>until they add it back in again
>Splat 2 meta then becomes nothing but MPU
For what purpose?

It works well on PC too and still easily outperforms regular controller aiming even when the game wasn't made for it and thinks you are using a mouse. Being able to aim faster and more intuitively is going to help regardless of the size of the target.

Th-third time's the charm!

Gyro's a precise form of aim, Splatoon hitboxes or not. At most a bit of fine tuning's needed but that's about it

>and still easily outperforms regular controller aiming
That's not a very high bar.
>Being able to aim faster and more intuitively is going to help regardless of the size of the target.
I guess? But the only benefit it has is being better than horrible. Still infinitely worse than a mouse.

Do yuzu and ryujinx not support online play? I can boot up splatoon in cemu right now and play real matches on official nintendo servers

The point isn't to be better than a mouse, the point is to be better than the shit status quo on non-Nintendo consoles.

trannies ruined this series for me

Bro no one is talking about the steam controller, and even you said you didn't use the gyro beyond testing it. Splatoon is the series that has the largest implementation of gyro-aim, but none of the traits actual shooters have to reward accuracy. We're just making fun of Gotham Squiddy inkposters acting like gyro is the next coming of Christ rather than a stand-in for auto-aim

No one's going to hook a keyboard and mouse up to a switch, and all you're arguing for is for a binary of pad and mouse. I wonder why that is.

It more than compensates generous hitboxes with those hitboxes moving fast and the bullets you hit with moving slow. There's no hitscan, even snipers require lead.
>whole weapon class designed around not hitting your opponent
Blasters? If you don't consistently hit directs you will very quickly hit a development wall, and blaster directs are among the hardest projectiles in the game to hit. The main reason the blast exists is to condition enemy players to not hide from you.

>No one's going to hook a keyboard and mouse up to a switch
And nobody's going to want to relearn years of muscle memory just to play with a new gimmick.
>and all you're arguing for is for a binary of pad and mouse
Why settle for something subpar?

>Hey you know those weapons we intentionally nerfed so that shooters can the best again?
>Here's a ability thatbalances them out so that they're usable!
>Oh, shooter weapons?
>Yeah just make MPU do increased damage. That won't cause problems

FUCKING BRAVO NOGAMI

By testing I meant multiple hours, you sperg. Calling a more precise form of aim equivalent to auto-aim's just pussy shit. It's like non-assist using pad players accusing mouse aim of that. Fucking retard zoomer

>those hitboxes moving fast and the bullets you hit with moving slow
You're exaggerating. Movement isn't very fast in Splatoon, and shot lead is barely a factor.

>Mouse > Gyro > Right stick
I agree, why settle for right stick?

>That's not a very high bar.
Unfortunately it is not, but that is the state of consoles where gyro is a huge step up. It does help close the gap between PC and consoles and should be able to prevent consoles from dragging games down even if it isn't all the way to matching mouse. There is no reason to be insecure and act like consoles need to be artificially held back so you can feel superior on PC.

Why settle for first loser?

If 2 and 3 are the only options, 2 becomes 1 by default. The only loser is (You)

What are you even trying to argue here? You can turn off gyro in Splatoon if you want. Like the other user said, no one is saying gyro is coming for M+KB but in the realm of console shooters, gyro is absolutely a step up.

Aren't the shots the strongest and most accurate when you first fire them, and they lose accuracy in continuous fire mode?

What's even more infuriating is that MPU does have some pretty neat effects on some weapons, but then other weapons it's just "increases damage". MPU should never have +damage as an effect, it should only be buffs to things other than damage.

my favorite is how MPU stacking makes bamboozler do 99 damage
you know
the charger that is NOT supposed to 1shot
can now 1shot
thanks to MPU
FUCKING BRAVO NOGAMI

this is your brain on sticks

Attached: stickfags.webm (960x540, 2.92M)

>If 2 and 3 are the only options
Why should they be? There's at least one Switch game with mouse support.

>gyro is a gimmick despite it properly allowing for controllers to narrow the gap with KBM in shooters
>compared to literal aimbot that we've had since Goldeneye due to control sticks being a shitty way to aim
lmao

I was already with my mind set to play whatever until Splatoon 3 and then play that game until XC3 releases.

>shot lead is barely a factor.
post rank, weapon and webm of yourself killing the moving dummies in the left training room while standing under the grate

Bring back all the insanely OP specials from 1 and remove gear system entirely and just introduce tons of unique weapon loadouts

There now its fun again and not min/max bullshit like mario kart 8 Deluxe

>Splatoon 3 scheduled for summer
>Xenoblade 3 moved forward to july
It's getting delayed isn't it?

Attached: 1422849436771.png (480x430, 92.73K)

I wish they would just detach stats from gear
I hate having to wear mismatched clown suits just because those have the best stats

>*IF*
that doesn't imply they should be. If you morons were half as smart as you thought, I'd enjoy these discussions more.

They might do it early September at this rate, since that'll still technically be Summer

Everyone having invincible specials was pure cancer and you know it.

I think they should straight up remove sub-abilities and maybe like you substitute the one ability your gear gets. Just go back to simple perks, the optimization doesn't belong in a multiplayer game.

Sadly yes. PC "gamers" don't give Nintendo a chance since it has the baby game rep. Splatoon has the best mechanics of most shooters, and motion controls on a controller is amazing to boot. Woah more console fps games had that

*Wish, not woah
