A FUCKING LEAF

No one who is sentient cares about capeshit

not how it works.

The story was alright but the combat absolutely sucked balls. The art team really got to do their thing though but it’s a shame the level design people decided to just mostly make hallways.

Imagine if this supposedly "good" game did not feature Reddit squad from some old capeshit movie. Perhaps then it would have actually sold well.
Current Marvel's toxic for game devs.

Yeah. The game is beautiful and the writing is pretty great too. Ran like a dream even with ray-tracing on my 2060. I will say upping the difficulty did make the combat feel better but it's still an overall weak point. If you've got Game Pass, it's definitely worth a playthrough.

>canadian opinion of anything
aren't they the ones who brought us teletoon?

>le capeshit
You let yourself be programmed by Yea Forums memes and think these buzzwords apply outside of TV/movies.

SE's management seems pretty incompetent to me. Final Fantasy is suddenly an action series. Mainline Dragon Quest games would probably be battle royales if they had their way.

I like the combat. It was a little simplistic and that especially became an issue in the later stages of the game where everything has a bunch of health, but for the most part it was enjoyable.

It’s also the kind of system that I think could be really great in a potential sequel. Little more skills, little more enemy variety, maybe let me play as all the different characters (they seem to have a proper moveset already), could be really cool. But who knows if this will ever happen.

>a fucking leaf

im sorry for disrespecting your epic superhero game

>You let yourself be programmed by Yea Forums memes and think these buzzwords apply outside of TV/movies
considering the absolutely and majestically flawless track record of capeshit vidya that almost brings a tear to my eye due to how flawlessly amazing it is, I think it applies pretty well.

Is this a joke?
Is this what capeshitters have been reduced to?

gravity rush is on french comics not western comics, but keep coping about your capeshit flopping.

dumbass

I do not care for that drax design.

That game was fucking terrible.

Winning Canadian game of the year is like a golden raspberry

Did they ask for this?

Guardians its one of those rare cases when even when the gameplay is bad I still cant call it a bad game.
Its not great by any means but I also enjoyed the ride

I learned "capeshit" long before I even visited Yea Forums

>Deus Ex died for this

>Mainline Dragon Quest games would probably be battle royales if they had their way.
Oh fuck. You just reminded me of how they made an FF7 Battle Royale. And I had finally forgotten all about that game.

The GoTG brand is radioactive to me until it can divorce itself from the baggage of the MCU. I know the game takes place in another universe, but the cast of the team are still heavily influenced by the shitty Disney movies.
>but user, the first Guardians of the Galaxy was good!
Go fuck yourself. No it wasn't. Just make something with a new fucking team already. The comics change team rosters for everything each year anyway.

I liked it, the combat was way too repetitive. Walk down the dialogue hallways, big room, fight same enemies, spam same moves, dont use your regular attacks because theyre worthless, job done move on. Regular attacks needed and individual combos needed to be the focus and you call in the other team members for big team combos or assists and such. As is you just run around dodging until you can get someone else to do something.

Story and writing was a lot better than I expected but really needed less reliance on Star Lord giving a pep talk every scene.

>a-actually!!
nah capeshit is capeshit. gotg flopped but so did gravity rush what's your point?

Japanese suits usually are incompetent. Square Enix especially though, Capcom, Bandai Namco, etc are all pretty bad.

Even Nintendo had a stretch where their execs made retarded decisions

>Guardians of The Galaxy is a full fledged new single player game that is without any DLC or Microtransaction and all of the costumes unlocks can all be earned and found in the game.
>Yet Yea Forums still hates the game
>will instead buy in the millions shitty remasters like the 3D Mario Collection and Chrono Cross, Trash incomplete games like Animal Crossing and Cyberpunk 2077, the nintendo online just to rent decade old games and support gacha like fucking Genshin Impact
No wonder this industry is so fucked.

Theyre familiar characterizations for the general population and theyre not that far from their comic personalities anyways, except for Star Lord.

Combat became way more engaging and fun when you tinkered with the difficulty settings.
Which, speaking of, I can't actually think of any mainstream or AAA games with a difficulty setting as robust as GOTGs
everything from ally/enemy cooldown to damage taken, health total, speed, damage dealt is customizable.
I was bored to death of the combat until I looked into the difficulty, and by the end I was having a blast with cranked up the cooldowns to (2-3 seconds to instead of 20+) and cranked up all the enemy settings to max to balance it out.

It doesn't some things right but that doesn't stop it from being boring. The Tomb Raider games that Squeenix published were also mostly devoid of that shit and they still sucked.

>considering the absolutely and majestically flawless track record of capeshit vidya
yes like infamous, spiderman ps4, and bamham. oh wait you are a retard who doesn't know what he's talking about.

>The GoTG brand is radioactive to me until it can divorce itself from the baggage of the MCU. I know the game takes place in another universe, but the cast of the team are still heavily influenced by the shitty Disney movies.
If you actually played the games, you would then realized how fucking different these characters are to their movie counterparts, and for the better too.
For example there is no romance happening between Gamora and Peter at all in the game unlike in the movie.
And Drax is not a retard at all unlike he was in the movie

I don't remember voting for anything.

t. Leaf

At the end of the day the game still need sto be, y'know, good, in addition to having all of that shit.

>>Guardians of The Galaxy is a full fledged new single player game that is without any DLC or Microtransaction
So was the new God of War and a couple other games I can think of. I don't know why you think that in particular is a novel concept when DLC and microtransactions have been going the way of the dodo.

Can I play as Gamora or do I have to play as Star Lord?

does some things*

piece of shit company run by soulless bugmen
complete trash
fuck sqeenix

>Canadian game of the year

>canadian game of the year
lmao yikes

You're stuck as starlord the entire game but can issue commands to allies like in mass effect.

Except, you know. The game was actually good, not perfect but still really good.
You would know if you actually fucking played it instead of shitposting about it.

Are you dumb? Every company want's dlcs and microtransactions in their games.

>We got a useless award nobody cares about so that makes us right
I noticed this happens a lot. Something shitty comes out, nobody likes it. People say they don't like it. But the people who push this stuff out don't care and just throw awards or write a bunch of articles about why it's so great. It's the same shit over and over.

No, it wasn't.

wrong about what I don't get it

a flarkin leaf

Is GOTG the prey 2017 for journos?

You're the one that mentioned being a single player game with no microtransactions as a plus.

Frankly I don't trust Eidos-Montreal anymore so I'm not buying it anyway. It seems dull.

Fellow leafs when did we start giving out game of the year awards?

>You're stuck as starlord the entire game

Let me guess it's a self-congratulatory award by Canadian's for a "Canadian" development team?

are we gonna get a new deus ex game now?

Attached: 1473591880113.png (248x317, 109.68K)

>infamous
not based on anything
>spiderman ps4 and bamham
diamonds among the shit

yaaaaaaaawn

Oh yeah, you clearly played it
>You're the one that mentioned being a single player game with no microtransactions as a plus.
It is, well whatever. Have fun with Square fully doubling down with Gaas shit when they see something like Guardians being a total failure.

No, the series is dead. Just like tomb raider is dead and will never get another gam-

No one cares about 90% of Square's shit anymore nowadays anyways.
The game was dull as fuck, get over it.

>DLC and microtransactions have been going the way of the dodo.
You are either legitimately clueless to how much money DLC/MTX make in the industry right now, or are trolling.

His opinion aligns with reality this time, turbo homo.

Everyone who shat on Mankind Divided caused this.

>Canadian Game of the Year
First time I've ever heard of this supposed award, who the fuck is the one issuing it?

Square just publishes boring games. The FF remake can live off of nostalgia, but the only reason people know and like Guardians is because of the movies and they made it different from the movie. I'm not sure why they expected a ton of sales.

They should have made a better game with an actual ending then

>Canada

>but the only reason people know and like Guardians is because of the movies and they made it different from the movie. I'm not sure why they expected a ton of sales.
Not me, i fucking love the comics, and this game did so much right.

You're the minority, most people don't give a fuck about comics.

>some meaningless canadian capeshit award
vs
>turning a big profit because capeshit SHOULD sell like gangbusters and keep Sqeenix in the black so they can let Nomura keep pissing it away

back to Yea Forums you faggot

You're like the only guy pretty much

I loved Gamora in this. Too bad it's dead because it didn't sell 50 million copies like Square wanted.
