xbone controller is still great for pc because of the compatibility with older games, it just works

It's very good. If you don't care about the cost. I returned mine simply because the cost is too high for the features

just get a sex controller it has a less retarded looking version of that dpad

best you can get, comfy and supported by the majority of pc games.

I'm interested in the paddles

It's perfect. Just make sure you get the Elite 2, not 1. Even without the paddles it's still the best controller out there, the paddles only solidify its position.

>I'm interested in the paddles
If you're gonna play wired, then you'll get more longevity out of a DS4 with the back paddle attachment or look into modding kits for the Series X core controller. The Elite controller is not worth the asking price considering how prone to failure it is. I'll be the best controller you've used for the first three months, but afterward you have a 50% chance of drifting issues or broken bumpers.

>get the 2 not the 1

Wrong. The 2 is a piece of garbage. Get a 1 and an X One Adapter Extra and you can use your controller on anything.

That's the 2's only flaw, they made the battery non-removable, and some mods don't work with it now.
That said, the only game you'd really want to play out of PC would be Bloodborne, and that can be played with an adapter, so, whatever.

still works 4 me

It's alright until one of the bumpers starts to double-click, or both of them like in my case. I expected better build quality from something with a price tag like that.

in general it's a good controller. just two things
>it's definitely overpriced for what it is
>the switch on my right bumper seemed to wear out and wasn't getting all my presses. I was able to fix this by opening up the controller and adjusting it until it worked.
this. externally, it's a great controller that feels good in the hand. internally, they should have sprung for better components, because a contoller this expensive should basically last forever. either that or it should have been a lot cheaper.

good, but the lack of gyro is a massive problem when using it for shooters.
but other than that,a solid controller assuming there are no major defects.

Just get a regular Series X controller and a USB C cable with an L-Angle

If you just want paddles there's plenty of third party controllers with paddles and buttons. Power A, PdP, Hori

It's not perfect.

you can get a powera if you want stick drift in 2 weeks or an elite 2 if you want stick drift in 2 months

If you're using it for PC, I assume you're just going to use M+KB for shooters. There's really only a couple games I can think of where I'd want to use a controller that involve aiming and shooting.

>I assume you're just going to use M+KB for shooters
stuff like paddles are made for shooters, also being able to play shooters in a more relaxed way can be quite nice.

Mine broke recently. Are the ones on Amazon any good? Can I trust them?

dont know, got mine from walmart years ago. and if ur willing to go shipping with it, might as well get a legit xbone one

Buy the wireless USB dongle. Worth every penny.

Yeah mine was for walmart as well. Lasted a good bit. Sadly my interest is in a 360 controller because I'm trying to keep my old 360 up and running. These "official" Microsoft 360 controllers saturating the market are horrible Taiwanese imports.

Every modern controller seems to have pretty severe compromises.

What does the elite have over the basic controller?

My Elite 2 RB tactile function fucked up after a year.

Back paddles are the main incentive for buying an elite controller over the new Series X controller. The revised controller with share button that comes packaged with the S/X, and cost 50 dollars standalone, has removable batteries, a superior dpad, and it's less prone to having issues. Elite controller just isn't worth the price with its shite build quality

There's going to be an Elite 3 soon

If it doesn't have removable batteries, then I couldn't care less. I've gotten spoiled by the ability to just swap in a fresh pair of eneloops when battery is low. Fuck wires.

NO! They are all cheap Chinese knock offs on Amazon.

Fuck. Any suggestions?

a basic wired xbone controller from gamestop

Do 360 controllers work for new games on PC? They’re only about $30 AUD and I was worried it’d only work on 360 so I got a $50 Logitech pad that has horrible triggers, unusable for racing games and I very much liked the Xbone controllers.

I think so. You may need an adapter.

>Do 360 controllers work for new games on PC?
if they have controller support, Microsoft still includes its drivers

Not an option for my dumb ass. SeeThanks anyway, user.

this is just gyro aim with extra steps

Yup, they're just plug n' play

>They’re only about $30 AUD
They're ALL fakes made to scam retards who fell for the 360 pad meme. The 360 controller was the best option a decade ago, but that's no longer the case. The new Series X controller blows the 360 pad out of the water.

Is that for a licensed 360 controller?
My last controller broke after 5 years of pretty constant usage and it was a knockoff Xbone pad which ironically lasted longer than the actual Xbone pad.
The 360 one id be getting would be a knockoff

the appeal of gyro is emulating wii/wii-u/switch games now or in the future. some ps4 and ps5 games will use it too whenever they get emulators, so it's not a controller that's going to last you for years and years unless you never emulate.

How's the dpad on the xbox controllers?

Eh, if its a single-player fps then id rather sit on the couch and play on my tv with gyro

I smashed mine against the wall during an R6 Siege match when some tranny caused me to lose diamond by using hacks. Now I just use an regular old Xbox one controller.

Use an Xbox 360 controller like a fucking boss of a pussified elite like an absolute Onions guzzling tranny cum dumpster

IMO they fixed the dpad since the xbox one and they hadn't made any significant changes to it since then. Some people don't like the clickness feeling it has,

Recommend me some good 360 controllers.

Bumpers are total shit.

The OG one. Check ebay

>drifts to the right

no thanks

Yeah. Been tempted to buy a refurbished OG one off amazon.

had one of these for years, for 20 bucks it was a great deal

They’re superior and work better than the elite and the one. And they come with soul

nice try energizer but you're not making me buy batteries.

But rechargeable you absolute mongoloid

I use one of these. It's nothing spectacular but it gets the job done and the dpad is good. If it's a game i can play without analog sticks I use my Hori fighting commander instead.

Except those are garbage. Went through 4 of them in 6 months

>Went through 4 of them in 6 months
the fuck are you doing with it? i've had mine for around 4 years and never had an issue

youll wear them out after a bit and the sticks will drift pretty easily. ive had two of them and now i just use a ds4 since theyre easy to replace parts on and cost a third of the elite

Normal core controller just weeks. Only complaint is they use double sided tape for sound dampening of the triggers, you might want to remove that cause it will fall off and triggers will stick to the adhesive

>Are the ones on Amazon any good?
you can order directly from an official xbox supplier through amazon you know

The first broke when I was jerking it to porn and hit off only desk with my elbow. It broke.
I tend to throw shit when you get mad. I can throw my DS controllers all day and nothing. You throw those sissy plastic cucks and they break. Garbage.

>D-pad in the neutral position
>2022

Yeah but it's mostly imported chinkshit

2 main problems:
1) The price. It's extortionate for what you get, really, especially considering...
2)Pretty piss poor QC. Lots of people have issues with these controllers breaking

I, however, use mine a lot and have zero issues with it. The paddles are a game changer for me, I essentially never use the face buttons. Any games that benefit from constant two sticks play so much better because of this, so much so that I don't understand why it still isn't the standard for all current gen controllers. The battery life is brilliant and the cradle charger works perfectly. I love it, really, but obviously because I've not had any of the relatively common issues. If it had broken I wouldn't be so happy considering the pricetag.
I don't know, maybe people need to treat their stuff better. Plenty of people have issues with their logitech g pro wireless double clicking but mine works flawlessly after thousands of hours of use. I never had issues like that. If you're the type to take care of your stuff maybe you'll be good.

It's a PC gamepad, that's the ideal spot for it. You're either emulating older games where you want the dpad there or you're playing a PC port that probably prioritized Playstation and was designed with that control scheme in mind like the Souls games, Yakuza, Nioh, etc. Most other games you're going to be using a keyboard and mouse for.

well i suppose that's a fair criticism if you rage a lot, what controllers these days are made of nintendium?

Attached: iguess.png (1200x1314, 45.84K)

8bitdos is better

>that’s the ideal spot for it
No, it isn’t.

Explain why not. Which games don't benefit from the dpad in that position that aren't better on a keyboard and mouse?

it is for me because im a boomer and only use the stick to move if its the only option

8dildos is not better

Every single platformer ever

I actually ordered an Elite 2 and getting it soon. One thing I really liked about the Series controllers is that they are slightly bigger than Xbox One generation

The only reason I got it is because my fucking controller that came with the Series X started stick drifting on the right stick. I'm not sure if the quality is borked since they were rushing to get products out because of supply chain issues or I fucked it up myself from raging at Halo: Infinite
.....I fucking hate Halo: Infinite balancing and netcode, despite Halo 5 being shit I never got so angry at it as I do with Infinite

Attached: 1617112475861.jpg (593x656, 28.71K)

Isn't that just like the SNES dpad?

I don't like the Series controller including the Elite, it's too small. The One controller was better in that area.

>One thing I really liked about the Series controllers is that they are slightly bigger than Xbox One generation
but that's backwards? the series controller is smaller, microsoft specifically and literally redesigned it to fit the hand of an eight year old.
