I did play it though, last time back when they revamped the talent tree system and they outright tripled minstrel damage and I was killing everything tooting on my bagpipes

I'm already playing Lost Ark, the superior MMO.
You're actually retarded if you're a MMO gamer and not playing Lost Ark t b h

If you've been following all the free shit they've given out in last year or two, you're basically only missing the very latest expansion at this point.

Attached: dog-suit_face.png (638x638, 418.92K)

these two games are nothing alike, though. lotro is that slow, traditional mmorpg fewer and fewer people are into.

so how many people still play this game? like worldwide, I mean. very comfy mmo, nothing will match chilling and playing songs in town or riding around bree-land or the shire. its just super dated engine wise and I can't justify another mmo when I'd also have to spend the time making new friends in it since none of my mmo buddies would be interested in delving in for more than a weekend

at least 3k concurrent, you wont find many people while leveling unless you ask for help or something since the world is fucking massive but there are plenty of people at endgame.

genuinely surprising, I was expecting more like a few hundred tops

Does mounted combat continue after Rohan? I couldn't be arsed to finish the rohan x-paks because the mounted combat was ass

how do i get the free gifts. Downloading now. I have almost 70 hours on this game what to heck?

get to lvl 2

i bet my guy is like level 50 by now. after 70 hours? Do I need to make a new toon? almost done downloading

i dont think so you should just get it in your mail automatically then

whats the server with the most traffic? How are there like 12 servers to choose from, is this game really that populated?

warden is the most complicated class I have personally ever played.

going back now with that kind of learning curve is too steep id i have to start over and the deed system is also ehhh

they simplified warden a bunch

Arkenstone is the most populated US server and Evernight the largest EU one

>Bug person hamster wheel "mmo"
lmao no thanks

recreantly?

Its fun and I honestly never mastered it but holy shit it makes other combo based classes look like preschool homework.

Lost Ark is better than that garbage groomer game of XIV, wow is a fucking meme.
LA is literally the best MMO on the market

not recently, but a while ago now

The peak on the server I play on (Landroval) hits 300-400 people, maybe. It sounds like """a lot""" but the level spread is so huge it feels like nobody's around except at the endgame. I saw Arkenstone/Evernight hit about 800 but I wouldn't be surprised if it was pretty much the same feeling, incredibly top heavy population or everyone is just enjoying the adventure and not really playing with each other.

I like this game but it's basically singleplayer at this point. Not just the population but game design. Fellowship Maneuvers being pointless makes me sad.

There was a LoTR MMO?
Lmao!

I unlocked the 15 year thing, why the fuck is everything still locked? I don't want to play a fucking bear

the forgot password webpage gave me a virus risk....

Thy already did giveaways for this and DDO like twice. Made multiple accounts just to get that stuff. Fucking too busy to play it now.

its comfy but has mmo-tier gameplay
whic i guess makes sence since its a mmo but still disappointingly bad

sent a "forgot username/password" request but nothing in the email.... i cant get in lads....

quick, deflect deflect!

if you made your account before 2016 and didnt transfer it when Turbine was acquired by Standing Stone Games, it's probably just gone and you need to make a new account.

meant for

Not an MMO

my toons!

sorry, still too busy grinding scams in ed edd n eddy online

I'm not asian or ginger, give me a game with soul next time.

Ok. I want to finally try and play it for a bit. Recommend me a class that's good for solo user. I still think DDO is better, but it's not really MMO.

>requires directX 9.0c
awww

Nice shill thread.
How much do you make an hour OP?

Beorning is the best for solo, its a near-immortal healer with pretty decent DPS. Downside being its a little too good at healing, so you are pigeonholed into playing its healing spec for endgame raiding. You can't go wrong with tank classes like Guardian/Captain/etc either, but their DPS is on the lower side.

Thanks. Any builds for the tank classes? I'm not really into the healers.

Do you still have to buy talent points from the store to use the good skills in the tree? That shit is disgusting

Don't worry about builds while leveling, just experiment with skills that look cool. You can tank leveling dungeons just fine even with a hybrid build.

this is a thread about LOTRO assretarded stupid fuck

I'll probably use the boost when I'll decide on a class though.

Cope more, Lost Ark is the most popular game on steam even beating cs:go and dota.

I've already played it

>using boosts
Cringe

>he thinks saying a game is popular will convince Yea Forums it's good
where do you think you are little guy?

All talent points are refundable for a pittance of in game currency and you get two specs for free. The only things that are harder to change are the virtues you pick (because they're locked behind grindan) and the legendary legacies you pick (also grindan) though the latter you can get inferior ones for basically nothing. LOTRO HQ has outdated builds if you're paralyzed by decision.

Personal preference, Guardians are the most "tank" feeling tank because of their focus on mitigation and have pretty great self sustain, plus they can purge all of their debuffs waaay easier than other tanks and are basically stun immune which becomes important later. Beorning are just OP for tanks at lower levels. Captains got hit with the nerf bat in the last expansion but are still cool, and they have a big focus on group support. Warden also just got buffed recently but I'm not sure to what degree, they used to be masters of "pull the whole instance and kite around while bleeding and lifetapping 9001 mobs at a time" but haven't been a favorite for tanking in awhile. Champions are fine, focus on higher damage than other tanks, their DPS builds are also always OP. Brawlers are new and they sucked big dick for a few months, their damage keeps getting buffed and tanking is decent but no idea if that makes them good or not yet.

XIV drones spent months countershilling how everyone will quit Lost Ark after they realize its P2W, meanwhile Lost Ark just keeps gaining more players day by day, its fucking insane how popular the game is.

It would be cool to play it in a normal way, but at the moment I'll probably just try to see as much of the world as I can. I don't have that much time anymore.

it's boring tho

LotRO absolutely sucks now and has only gotten worse since SoM. You're a tasteless hack for even trying to promote it.

Most mmos overlevel you fast anyway if you try to be a completionist quest player. Not sure about LOTRO, DDO was not that bad, but then, I only played a little of it so far.

Thanks for the detailed answer.

>not playing as the best class
To be fair, Hunter's utility has kinda gone to shit since you can purchase fast travel anywhere.

Attached: 74137d3d4f5860d824cc5b988aa7ea79.png (800x650, 1019.07K)

>its fucking insane
hello barry

Attached: file.png (4840x2096, 1.52M)

>156 place in line for the server
Now that is a surprise.

Checked. And yes there are way more fast travel options, especially since you can just teleport home and then get a horse anywhere, and everyone has teleports to the new zones.

But hunters
>get it for free, and for their group
>get campfire teleports
>have an out of combat runspeed buff (also for their group)
>do massive damage
>etc etc
The only reason I haven't really gotten into one is because of how prolific they are. I'm not exaggerating when I say on my server, 33-50% of the players on at any time are hunters.

>heard a lot about LotRO from my friend
>finally tried it
This is the comfiest MMO i've ever played.

Attached: 1241414.jpg (1082x695, 62.79K)

probably because people think they're like wow hunters. I wonder how many give up after realizing they don't get a pet.

For the first 60 - 70 levels it is. Then it gets samey and all the quests are run here/kill x of y/find this/clean up literal shit for me. It was a fucking slog to make it to L130 and by then there was nothing to actually do.

Mines of Moria is probably one of the best expansions ever made, doubly so because it's almost entirely underground and they managed to make it so varied. Problem is LotRO never ever reaches that level again and every since expansion since hasn't lived up unless story advancement specifically is what you want.

Attached: LOTR_Mines_of_Moria.jpg (256x361, 42.36K)

No, it's because they're stupidly fucking OP for overworld content which is 90% of the game and do good damage in groups too. The same ratio doesn't quite hold up for level cap but they're still the most populated by far with champs next.

for some reason the game won't launch after downloading it on steam.

lotro decided weird classes would become the pet classes aka lore master and captain.
