What other games take place in only one (1) building/structure

if not 100% at least 90% of it, like in God of War 1

First 2 Resident Evil games

DMC1, maybe 3 if you're willing to be lenient with missions 1,2 and 8?
Ys Origins, Tower of Druaga, in general a lot of games involving climbing some sort of huge tower.

Resident Evil 1

Don't care. It's top couch kino.

No shit, you mouth breathing faggot. I knew console niggers were stupid, but you bring it to a new level.

This is a board about video game, go away troll

Played The Surge 1 lately and I guess it fits the bill, most of it happens in a big factory and a few adjoining areas

The Surge, Fate, Baroque

Games like this are always awesome

Metroid Fusion and Other M both take place inside a big space station

Control is a GOTD contender. Really good game.

Same with Prey (2017), although there are some parts where you go outside and fly around the exterior for a bit.

Does Arkham Asylum count? It’s not one building but you remain inside the institution the whole time.

Control wasn’t as good as Alan wake. Just a really weak 2nd half of the game

user, I...

they are both good underrated games but I think Control is better because it has a more interesting premise/setting than Alan Wake. Regarding Alan Wake though, I think it was unfairly maligned for being "cliche", when that was the whole point of it. Some midwit game journo shit was going on with it's poor reception.

most castlevania games take place in one castle

Did you guys not leave the mansion?

Iron Lung

ys origin
however that game is too hard for you fucking casuals, you will never beat it..........

OP example is control, a game in which you travel to a motel via a light switch. I would say if control counts then the RE1 spencer mansion complex also counts.

>God of War 1 places
Agean Sea
Gates of Athens
Road to Athens
Athens Town Square
Rooftops of Athens
Temple of the Oracle
Sewers of Athens
Desert of Lost Souls
Pandora's Temple
Rings of Pandora
The Challenge of Atlas
The Challenge of Poseidon
The Challenge of Hades
Cliffs of Madness
Architect's Tomb
The Path of Hades

Dead Space

Silent Hill 4
You technically never leave your room :)

That's a single vessel. Like hydrophobia. Not as uncommon as single building games.

Elite Dangerous, you never leave your cockpit

Portal
Portal 2

Arkham asylum

alan wake had better story and better base mechanics imo
control was fine but I hated the limited weapon selection and that you were basically forced to throw stuff to be good at the game
the dlcs mitigated this slightly by adding variant mods but that should have been integrated into the basegame

Amnesia: Dark Descent was all in one castle dungeon or something, right? Never played it, so I’m not sure

Alien Isolation

No way is it up for GOTD. It's a solid 7.5/10 carried by its atmosphere and world-building. The story falls off significantly in the second half (the first DLC was also unmemorable, though I haven't played AWE yet). The gameplay is... fine; sometimes good (at best). The loot-shoot inventory is cancer. The puzzles were barely challenging (the one exception is the fortune room, which felt like trial and error). The Oldest House is extremely sick and delivers on a vibe that no other game offers. The CIA-style lore is great to read and Dr. Darling's performance was impeccable. As much as I value those things, there's just no way it's a serious contractor for GOTD.

It's a fast-paced survival horror game with a cool setting like RE4-6, so I would recommend it to 30 yo boomers that think all games suck now.

It takes place in a Biodome

having to open a menu to change weapons killed the gameplay

You can change on the fly. Upgrade weapon slots.

Control shills, will you actually fuck off

>Control is a GOTD contender.
This

PREY for sure, just recently played it, can't recommend enough to anyone on the fence

Prey 2017
Feels like it was designed for people to live in, not a game arena

>console
Those images are jpegs taken on ultra full raytraced 1440p upscaled to 4k with dlss. Game is running 80+ fps.
noose now, stop torturing this world

Any Castlevania that starts you off in front of a castle and nothing but.

I love how well contained that game felt. I should give City another try, I fell off it initially because it just felt too big

Oh I know who is nigger

>the backyard of the mansion isnt part of the mansion
