they've' announced two DLCs, I believe, and one of them might be focused on Lady D. I guess they first started the development of DLCs after taking a break after releasing the game last May, so they'll probably release the DLCs very shortly after announcing them, like a week at most.

So why was it only Lady D fans who went MIA and not daughter fans or Miranda fans or even Ethan fans?
The reality is that there is no organic demand for 10 ft tall middle aged women. Look I like tall girls myself (and by tall I mean 5'10 to 6 ft range) and I've had my irl friends tell me I'm weird just for that. I do not believe that there are actually legions of of guys out there who would get weak in the knees for a tyrant in a wig, no. There is nothing "complex" about that.

After RE2make and the mixed reception generic confrontational RE3make Jill got I think CAPCOM finally realized BOW women were best. Lady D is a design of contrasts to capture as much attention as possible. She's a regal noblewoman that wears a tight fitting dress and talks in sultry tones. She's a vicious monster that has a soft spot for her daughters. She hates men(for lesbos out there) yet looks forward to seeing one albeit only to torture and mulch them into wine. Her face is mature yet her body has minimal sag to it. Its also soft yet filled with muscle and gentle hands turn into sharp claws.

I feel like if Mother Miranda had some ancient temple area or spooky catacombs filled with disfigured Molded copies of her coming outta the walls would've balanced the game better. Donna could've had tiny killable dolls floating around attacking the player that form into a big doll monster made of broken body parts or maybe taxidermy corpse as enemies? Moreau should've had creepy caves the player has to partially swim through filled with fish/crab people.

All we have, and the VA's who were pretty much carrying the marketing said that they were working on something, and around that same time the face model Helena had a post that said "Ready for more?", all pointing that something was/is going on but being a bit hush hush about it.

This. The fascination is very much grassroots, but I have no doubts that Capcom did some astroturfing of their own once they saw how big it was getting.
Not a problem for me, though. That same astroturfing led to all the porn being made of her to ride on the hype wave. A sad state for fanart when this is what's required for a character to be beloved, but I'll take what I can get.

How do you know the epilogue of Village doesn't take place like 18 years after the ending? Rose could've grown up normally for all you know, it's not like she's an E-series like Eveline.

None of my suggestions are post-story and its dumb for you to assume RE8 DLC have to take place post-story. Over half of RE7 DLC took place before the game events begin.

Chris looks too young otherwise you could be right. Im hoping grown up Rose's scene is a long ways away in canon since the story could have many twists and turns leading up to it.

The RE7 DLCs were mostly creative asset flips and didn't take over a year to make. This is obviously more along the lines of the Not a Hero/End of Zoe DLCs than the other crap, and those were, in fact, post-story.

not quite, with the way they ended it Ethan merged with the mold and became one of the consciousness inside the mold alongside the girl from 7.

So, since it's obvious that Rose will be the protagonist of 9, when Rose needs him at a crucial moment he's gonna pop out in Rose's mind. Also Rose has all of Ethan's and Eveline's and possibly Miranda's memories inside of her because of the mold.

In Village I can kind of understand Ethan's motivation a little more. Now that's what I call a good sequel: giving context to a mystery from the previous work.

I don't remember why right now, but someone laid out a good reason why Rose can age up more quickly than a normal person and that the epilogue of Village takes place ~5 years after Village and not 16-18 years like Rose's age would suggest

Are you talking about the Alex/Natalia situation? That would never have worked. People didn't care about either of them to the extent that they've grown to care about the Winters family.
